The village of Yantarny got its name for a reason: according to geologists, the largest amber deposit in the world is located here.
And this is the only place in Russia where industrial extraction of solar stone is carried out.
Amber is a business card of the Kaliningrad region.

The program includes a visit to the enterprise, where you will be told about the extraction, processing of amber and the manufacture of jewelry with amber.
You will also learn about the beneficial, healing properties of this stone.
Amber is used in pharmaceuticals and in the production of medicinal amber cosmetics.
In your free time, you can visit the quarry of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine, where amber is mined in an open-pit manner, and where the stone's path from the earth to man begins.

The city of Baltiysk is a seaside port city, a naval base of the Baltic Fleet. All this determines the flavor and spirit of the place.
You will have the opportunity to walk along the embankment in the historical part of Baltiysk, where ships are moored; see the oldest operating lighthouse in the Kaliningrad region (1816); monument to Peter I, the founder of the Baltic Fleet.
The Russian tsar visited here, including the Swedish Fortress, which he later modeled on the Peter and Paul Fortress when founding the northern capital.

The Curonian Spit National Park is an amazingly wonderful place to relax in nature: the purest sea air filled with pine phytoncides; the greenery of the forest and the chirping of birds; the peace of the dune landscape and the vast expanses of the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon.
