Itinerary

Day 1 - Perm — Usva pillars — Usva
07.00 Meeting at the main entrance of the Soldatov Recreation Center (79 Kuibyshev str., Perm).
Our journey through the Permian land begins!
We are going towards P. Usva. On the way, we will stop for breakfast at the Ermak cafe.
Usva is a very small but very picturesque village located on the river of the same name.
The surroundings of the village are so beautiful that tourists and cinematographers have chosen it. It is from Usva that the path begins to the most recognizable sights of the Perm Region — the Usva pillars and the Stone City.
Upon arrival in the village, we will go on a walking tour through the fabulous snow-covered forest to the Usvinsky pillars (5 km one way).
Along the bank of the Usva River, we will reach the foot of the Usva Pillars, a rock wall more than 100 meters high.
We will go up to the observation deck, where the films "Geographer Globe drank" and "Time of the First" were shot, we will take memorable photos with a smooth bend of the Usva River and a panorama of the Ural taiga.
While admiring these beautiful views, we will arrange a lunch snack with warming tea.
But it's time to go back. We are waiting for a transfer to the base, accommodation, dinner and an evening of acquaintances and first impressions.

Day 2 - Usva — Kamenny gorod — Solikamsk
A new day means new beauties.
After breakfast, we will make a transfer to the beginning of the trail to the Stone Town.
Kamenny Gorod is a unique natural object of the Perm Region. Here we will walk through the streets of a real stone maze and admire the bizarre stone architecture.
After the walk, we return to the bus, transfer to the city of Solikamsk with a stop at a cafe for lunch.
Solikamsk is one of the oldest cities in the Urals. It was salt that gave Solikamsk its life and name, the city arose on the site of salt mines back in the 15th century.
We will go on an excursion to the Solzavod Museum-Reserve.
The buildings of the museum — pickle towers, salt bins, jars and a barn — demonstrate the five-century technology of production of boiled salt in the region and throughout the country, are monuments of wooden industrial architecture of the XIX century.
During the tour, you can trace the technological chain of salt boiling, touch the century—old salted walls, find out where the famous saying "Permian - salty ears" came from.
After the tour, we will move to the hotel, have dinner and spend a cozy evening with board games and tea.

Day 3 - Solikamsk — Krasnovishersk
We will stay in Solikamsk until lunch today.
This small Ural city is known primarily for its churches, monasteries and temples. There are more than a dozen of them in the modest territory of the settlement, and almost all of them are recognized as architectural monuments.
We will go to the most iconic of them — the central architectural ensemble of the city of Solikamsk and the Governor's House.
We will have the opportunity to walk through secret passages in the meter-high walls of the Governor's House and look at the city from a bird's-eye view from the observation deck of the Cathedral Bell Tower.
After the tour, we will stop for lunch at a cafe and immediately go further to the north of the region — to the city of Krasnovishersk.
Krasnovishersk is the northernmost city in the Perm Region, famous for its natural beauty and lands hiding precious stones in their depths.
The Vishersky Nature Reserve Museum will tell us about the natural values, geological and hydrological features of the territory, as well as the history of the Vishersky Mansi (aborigines of the Urals).
After the tour, we go to the base, accommodation, where dinner and evening gatherings are waiting for us, for those who wish — a sauna.

Day 4 - Krasnovishersk
Today we will get up early, we will have a very busy and active day.
After breakfast, we go to the shores of the beautiful Vishera.
Our goal is Polyud Mountain.
We will do part of the way on snowmobiles, and then, after a short hike (1.5 km in one direction), we will find ourselves at the top of the mountain.
If the mountain turns out to be generous and does not wrap itself in clouds, then the panorama that opens from the 527-meter peak of Poluda will be fantastic. Here you feel like the lord of the great Parma, spread out under your feet, and it seems you can reach the sky with your hand.
After enjoying such views, we will return to the river and move to the beginning of the trail on the Vetlan stone.
The Vetlan stone is the highest rock wall in the region, it stretches for 2 kilometers along the shore of the beautiful Vishera, and from its top there is a beautiful view of the river and Mount Polyud.
We are waiting for a walking tour (3 km one way). Our path will be fabulously beautiful, in winter the road excites the imagination with bizarre decorations of snow-covered fir trees sparkling in the sun.
At the top we will arrange a lunch snack with a gorgeous panorama of the surroundings.
After the walk, we return to the base, have dinner and share our impressions of the past day, for those who wish — a sauna.

Day 5 - Krasnovishersk — Cherdyn — Nyrob — Perm
In the morning we leave for Cherdyn.
Even if you haven't read Alexey Ivanov's book, you've probably heard that Cherdyn was the capital of the Grand Duchy of Great Perm many centuries ago.
Over the past centuries, Cherdyn and its surroundings have hardly changed. We will go to the central architectural ensemble of Cherdyn and visit the Vera Museum.
Here we will literally touch the history and see with our own eyes how the Permian land lived in the 15th and 16th centuries.
After such an eventful excursion, we will stop for lunch and go on.
We are waiting for some of the most ancient villages of the Perm land with temples built in the 18th century: the village of Pokcha with the Annunciation Church, the village of Vilgort with the Trinity Church and the village of Nyrob with the St. Nicholas Church.
The village of Nyrob is a famous historical place, became the place of exile and death of the uncle of the first Russian tsar from the Romanov dynasty, boyar Mikhail Nikitich, and during today's tour we will talk not only about ancient Perm architecture, but also about the history of the Romanovs.
On such a beautiful and historical note, our fascinating journey through the land of Perm will end.
We are going back to Perm.
On the way, stop at a cafe for dinner.

It's important to know

In winter, it can be from -10 to -30 in the north of the Perm Region, so it is important to take warm clothes with you.

hoba (elastic band seat);
chemical hand and foot warmers.

boots for outdoor activities are insulated, and fishing warm lightweight EVA boots have also proven themselves well in the cold;
windproof jacket (possibly ski jacket);
