Multi-active summer vacation in Adygea for 12 days

Panoramas from the top of Abadzesh, where the sky is closer. This day is not about "climbing", but about looking from a height: at alpine meadows, snowfields, winding rivers and ridges stretching into the clouds. A gentle but real mountain experience.

07:00 Departure.

Early rise. We take lunch boxes with us for breakfast and lunch.

The route passes through the territory of the Caucasian Nature Reserve, the oldest specially protected natural area in Russia. Transfer to the Lago Naki checkpoint

Already here, on the observation deck next to the cordon, the first picture opens: the alpine meadows of the Lago Naki plateau, the slopes of the Abadzesh and Uriel mountains, eternal snowfields giving rise to the Kurdzhips and Armyank rivers.

1.5 km to the first observation deck. The road is smooth, through sparsely wooded areas and flowery clearings. There are several wooden gazebos near the playground (you can make a stop, take a photo, drink tea from a thermos).

The Abadzesh pass (2043 m) is the main section. There are no steep climbs, just a gentle, confident climb along a well—read trail.

The final is the ascent to the top of Abadzesh 2,369 m.

The last kilometer is slightly steeper, but shorter. And a 360° panorama: the Main Caucasian Ridge, the Advanced Ridge, the valley of the Kurdzhips River, the Guam ridge, the Western Caucasus in the palm of your hand.

The total length is 18 km round trip. The climb is 550 m (smooth). Travel time is 5-6 hours with stops.

19:00 Restorative dinner with the first course. It's time to share your impressions.

Important! The guide has the right to make changes to the route due to the weather, the condition of the group or the recommendations of the reserve. This is not a "plan B", but a concern for your safety and comfort.

What to take with you:

• rain cover — in the mountains, the weather changes in 15 minutes, even in summer, fog and drizzle are possible;
• trekking shoes: sneakers or boots with a tread and ankle fixation. Not flat-soled sneakers;
• sunscreen SPF 50+: UV radiation is 40% stronger in the mountains, the face and hands are the main "victims";
• thermos with tea optional;
• a charged phone / power bank for photos, communication on the plateau is unstable, but the network catches at the checkpoint.

08:00 Breakfast. Warm, hearty and with a lunch box for a snack that will be served at breakfast.

09:00 Transfer to Khadjokh gorge. Just 2 km from the village of Kamennomostsky and you are already in another world: a narrow gorge, the sound of a river, old trees covered with ivy. Civilization is behind us.

09:15 Start of the route. The trail leads through the forest, over roots, rocks, stairs — a real mountain hike, but without steep ascents.

10:30 a.m. The Cave Is Through. A small but atmospheric grotto.

This is your first experience of rope climbing. The instructor will show you:

• how to put on a harness;
• how to work with carbines and the "eight";
• how to properly sit in the system and control the descent.

You will gain basic knowledge on working with climbing equipment. Training, and after training, a downhill slide: 15 meters, with insurance and under direct control.

After that we go to the first waterfall of the Rufabgo river gorge.

Lunch (lunch box).

Then we go along the Rufabgo trail from one waterfall to another: "Noise", "Second cascade", "Heart of Rufabgo", "Maiden's spit". If the group is strong and the weather allows, we will reach the sixth waterfall "Cup of Love". The sixth, almost sacred.

The distance is 12-15 km round trip over rough terrain (the distance depends on the condition of the group and weather conditions). The climb is small and smooth. Travel time is 8 hours with stops.

Return along the lower path — if the forces allow, we will enter the lagoon. Return at 17:00-17:30.

19:00 Dinner. Soup, second course, tea.

What to take with you:

• trekking shoes with good foot fixation. Not sneakers with smooth soles — the rocks in the gorge are slippery even in dry weather;
• swimsuit / swimming trunks — for cooling in backwaters (optional);
• camera or phone with charging;
• light raincoat — the weather in the mountains is unpredictable.

This is a real immersion in the elements of water, stone and ancient landscape.

08:00 Breakfast.

09:00 Departure to Mishoko tract. The Mishoko River gorge is located on the outskirts of the village of Kamennomostsky (Khadzhokh).

The route is only 2-3 km long, but intense:

• three picturesque waterfalls (including the famous "Anvil");
• natural "baths" in monolithic rocks;
• deep, crystal clear backwaters;
• caves-sites of ancient man on both shores — thousands of years ago, someone also stayed here.

This is canyoning in a gentle, educational form — natural movement along the riverbed, under the guidance of an experienced instructor. You will master:

• moving across rough terrain: how to put your foot on a slippery rock, how to keep your balance in the flow, how to "read" the terrain;
• safely overcome waterfalls using equipment, but without mandatory descent if you do not feel ready.;
• working with climbing equipment is simple, step by step, "on your fingers."

You will be given the necessary equipment, proven, comfortable and safe: helmet, safety harness, carbines and trigger device ("eight"), gloves.

You don't have to go down every waterfall. You can always watch, support the team, take photos, or just stand and cheer for your friends.

13:00 Return to the base.

What to take with you on the route:

• Shoes: trekking shoes + canyoning shoes (2 pairs of shoes required!). You can wear two pairs of sneakers, but not with smooth soles!;
• We recommend neoprene socks for shoes — they keep your feet warm in the water and protect you from rocks.;
• the second set of clothes;
• backpack 20-30 l;
• bottled water 0.5 liters.

Important! The route is designed for everyone who is ready to walk on water, sometimes wading, sometimes on slippery rocks. Physical activity is moderate. If the weather does not allow the passage of the canyon by water, we go along the dry part of it.

14:00 Lunch. Hot, restorative soup.

15:00 Trip to the geothermal spring. A natural thermal complex awaits you — pools filled with silicon water born in the depths of the Caucasus. Water temperature: +36...+39°C.

Bring a swimsuit, towel, and a change of shoes.

19:00 Dinner.

09:00 We set off on a journey through the picturesque valley of the Belaya River. in the village Guzeriple in the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve.

Along the way, stops at the best viewing platforms:

• The Cossack Stone;
• The Great Granite Canyon;
• menhirs and dolmens;
• the confluence of the Kisha and Belaya rivers.

We will pass through the territory of Europe's largest natural biosphere reserve, where the reserve's museum, rope park and one of the most interesting mysterious megalithic structures of antiquity, the dolmen, are located.

Let's take a look at the nature museum, get acquainted with the history of this place and see interesting artifacts. In the aviary complex we will look at the representatives of the local fauna. Let's take a walk, admire the fir forest, the mountain river, and breathe in the purest mountain air.

And, of course, the rope park! There are 5 routes in the park, varying in length and difficulty, there is an extreme and a trolley (there are three trolls on it).

Rope park — from 300 to 1,500 rubles, depends on the route.

The route is designed for the whole day until 16:00. A snack lunch box is provided at breakfast. Clothing for the weather, sports shoes.

09:00 Transfer to Mishoko tract.

Equestrian route. Duration 1-2 hours in the saddle + 30 minutes for preparation. Cost (delivery to and from the venue is included in the price of the tour):

• 1 hour — 1,400 rubles.;
• 2 hours — 2,500 rubles .;
• 3 hours — 3,200 rubles.;
• 5 hours — 5,000 rubles.

Taking an equestrian route through the gorge is a rare opportunity not just to watch, but to ride along a mountain path, and experience the pleasure of communicating with this beautiful and strong animal: to feel the warmth of a horse, to hear the rhythmic clop of hooves on the rocks, to see the beauty of the gorge from a height.

If you have time left, you can visit the Mishoko Extreme Park (trolls over the abyss).

What to take for horseback riding:

• running shoes or other closed shoes;
• trousers without a rough inner seam (so as not to rub your feet);
• a T-shirt or a long sleeve shirt.

15:00 Sleeping in the Granite Canyon on the Belaya River. The cost is 2000 rubles.

Delivery to and from the venue is included in the price of the tour.

Rocks up to 25 meters high shimmer with azure and crimson under the sun. In narrow places, the riverbed shrinks to 4 meters, and the water accelerates. In front of you are panoramic views of the Trident Mountain and the Azish-Tau ridge.

Before rafting, there is a mandatory briefing (15-20 minutes):

• how to sit in a raft;
• how to row on command;
• what to do in the water (in case of an unlikely "swim", but life jackets are always worn),
  and why trusting the instructor is your main trump card.

The length of the route is 7-14 km, depending on the water level. The difficulty is category I–II, with elements of III, which means: shivers (water bubbles, but does not fall), light rolling, passing small rapids and water shafts is safe, but gambling.

Time on the water is 1-1.5 hours. The total preparation time is 1.5–2 hours. Start from the confluence of the Kisha River with the Belaya. The finish line is behind the village of Khamyshki or at the entrance to the Granite Canyon (the specific point is chosen by the instructor based on the weather, water level and safety).

The instructor fully controls the raft: steers, makes decisions, monitors everyone. Your role is not the "pilot", but the team: row on command, carry your body weight when cornering, and support each other.

What to take with you:

• swimsuit / swimming trunks;
• towel;
• lightweight seat (foam, inflatable cushion) for comfort in transport;
• closed shoes with foot fixation: sneakers, trekking sandals (of the Keen type), lace-up sneakers. Not flip-flops and not barefoot! There are sharp rocks and slippery surfaces in the water.;
• you want to save photos/ videos in a waterproof container or case (if you doubt the protection, it's better to leave them at the base: you will get a photo as a keepsake).

09:00 We leave for the mountains. On the way, we make "panoramic stops", where the three-thousand-meter mountains will open up before you in all their grandeur.The air here is already different, fresh, cool, crystal, with the scent of pine needles and mountain grasses.

The most interesting passage of unequipped "wild" caves. We will visit 2 caves: the Picket Cave and the Beautiful Cave. The caves are located among the forest in the southern part of the Azish-Tau range at an altitude of more than 1300 meters above sea level.

A large number of stalactites and stalagmites and stalagmites have formed on the walls, ceiling and floor of the caves. The caves are well explored and the entrance to them is not particularly difficult.

For this route, we recommend taking clothes that would not be a pity to get dirty, flashlights.

We will finish our route at the observation deck of the Iron rock at an altitude of about 2000 meters. From here you can see all the plateaus: alpine meadows, steep cliffs, snowfields, distant ridges and mountains.

And if you look closely at the stones under your feet, you can find a petrified shell. Yes, exactly the one that lived in the Tethys Ocean 300 million years ago.

18:00 We will meet for dinner. Soup, shish kebab cooked over an open fire.

What to take with you:

• comfortable sports shoes;
• clothes according to the weather;
• a light jacket or windbreaker (it's cool in the cave, windy at altitude);
• raincoat (weather in the mountains is unpredictable);
• Trekking poles never hurt;
• lantern;
• clothes that don't mind getting dirty;
• a camera or a phone with charging.

08:00 Breakfast. Grab a lunch box for a snack at breakfast.

09.00 We are going to the beginning of the route — the Dakhovskaya cable car.

09:30 The cable car will take you to the top of the Una-Koz ridge (altitude above sea level 1 km, road length 1250 m, lifting height 500 m, travel time in one direction about 15 minutes, the cable car is equipped with open chairs consisting of two seats). At the very top there are mesmerizing panoramas of the mountain.

The lift ticket is 1200 rubles for adults and 600 rubles for children from 6 to 13 years old.

Entrance to the reserve is 300 rubles. per day, 150 rubles for children.

Let's go down to the Cave of Desires, a small grotto with interesting windows.

11:00 am We will walk along a well-marked trail about 3 km along the ridge of Una Koz. The height difference on this route is about 100 meters. No sudden ascents or descents. The path goes to the very edge of the cliff, then goes into the forest, which is fragrant with all kinds of flowers and where birds sing.

And there's the Damn Finger. This two-horned rock protruding from the ridge at an altitude of more than 1000 meters. It offers a breathtaking 360° panorama of all the peaks of Adygea in the palm of your hand.

We go to the Dusty cave and visit the caves.

12:30 Lunch.

After lunch, we walk back to the ancient stone bridge 5 kilometers away. Part of the way is a steep descent over rough terrain. There will be viewing platforms with beautiful views along the way.

17:30 We are on the Dakh River at the Dakhovsky ancient bridge. Take a swimsuit with you — you can swim in the river.

18:00-20:00 Dinner at the base.

09:00 Drive to the geothermal spring to start the day with warmth and relaxation. Pools with healing water (about 37 °C) are waiting for you, 2 hours to swim and let your body relax. And for those who like it cooler, there is also a pool with a water temperature of 22 °C.

14:00 Lunch.

15:00 We leave for the Khadjokh gorge, one of the most picturesque places in Adygea. It is located in the village of Kamennomostsky, in the canyon of the Belaya River. It is only 5-10 minutes from the location.

Tesnina — 600 rubles for adults, 300 rubles for children from 7 to 14 years old.

Locals call this place "Noise", and it's clear why: the river is bubbling and noisy here. Over millions of years, a mountain river has carved a narrow corridor up to 40 meters deep into the rock.

The walls are almost 400 meters high. Even on the sunniest day, the rays do not always reach the bottom, because this place is so deep and narrow.

The most picturesque part of the gorge is equipped for excursions with iron bridges, steps and platforms with handrails. Entrance to this territory is subject to a charge.

On this day we will walk about 1 km.

08:30 Departure to the Guam Gorge. This is a living page from the history of the Earth. 100 million years ago, 5 kilometers of narrow, deep gorge, walls up to 400 meters (this is higher than the Eiffel Tower) and surrounded by rocks, moss, ferns, cascades of waterfalls and waterfalls of the Kurdjips River.

A narrow-gauge railway, cut directly into the rock, runs through the canyon.

We take the sightseeing train. We will drive 2 km along the steep cliffs, slowly admiring the views while listening to the audio guide and wondering how nature can be so grandiose. About 20 minutes each way.

Then a guided walking tour: about 1.5 km along the trail, where each turn opens up a new view. It's just as beautiful to get back by train again.

And on the way back, the most pleasant thing: we will stop at a geothermal spring, where warm pools with healing water are waiting for you. 2 hours to relax, unwind and just swim in the open air.

Don't forget: swimsuit, towel, slippers. Walking clothes according to the weather — it's always cooler in the gorge.

An all-day tour. Lunch box is provided at breakfast, the guide will choose a cozy place for a snack, where you can eat, relax and share your impressions.

Excursion "Maikop — the city at the mouth of the apple valley".

09:00 Breakfast. Don't forget to bring your issued lunch box, it will come in handy on the way.

It is a beautiful green city, its name translates as "the city at the mouth of the apple valley." Indeed, both before and today it is surrounded by orchards.

Today's tour is a journey through the ages: from archaeological discoveries to the living traditions of the Adyghe people.

The National Museum of the Republic of Adygea. Entrance is 300 rubles.

One of the most modern and informative museums in the Caucasus. Deep archeology (including the famous Maikop culture, which gave its name to the entire epoch), the richest ethnography, history and nature of the region are harmoniously combined here.

Special attention is paid to the exhibition "Culture and life of the Adygs": traditional clothes, weapons, jewelry, household items and home decoration all come to life in the guide's story.

The city market. Here you will find authentic Adyghe cheese (from tender to smoked).,
aromatic spices, famous Adyghe salt, honey, nuts, jam, pickles. Don't miss the opportunity to taste fresh cheese right at the counter!

Lunch on the route. A lunch box is provided at breakfast, and the guide will select a convenient place to stop.

Form of clothing: comfortable walking (according to the weather), sports or trekking shoes only (active movement around the city and the museum is expected).

There is a geothermal spring on the way back. We will end the eventful day with a natural SPA ritual in the warm waters of a geothermal spring. Two hours of free time to relieve tension, relax and "digest" the impressions of ancient Maikop.
