Itinerary

Day 1 - Getting to know Altai
09.00-09.30 and 10.30-11.00: Meeting in the parking lot in front of the airport of Gorno-Altaisk.
A guide with a sign will be waiting for you.
Transfer to the campsite (1.5-2 hours from Gorno-Altaisk airport), lunch (extra charge).
Check-in and rest after the flight.
On this day, we will admire the Katun River from the suspension bridge, as well as the picturesque rocks protruding from the water, which are called "Dragon's Teeth".
Then we will go to the village of Askat masters, which is not for nothing called an "art village" or even a "bohemian farm", because talented and unusual people flock here in order to create, inspired by the surrounding nature and special energy.
As part of the tour, you will not only get acquainted with the creativity of local residents, but you will also try to play various instruments yourself and even create an improvised ensemble.
And a nice bonus: relaxing meditation to the healing sounds of singing bowls.
A festive dinner in the national style (vegetarian type of food is possible).

Day 2 - The program depends on the date of arrival
Breakfast.
1 Version of the program for the period April-October.
Today, the main river of Altai - Katun – will truly open for us: we will make a rafting trip on its mighty waves. Motor rafting is a fun and absolutely safe ride on the waves on a boat with a motor, no paddles are required, and your clothes will stay dry.
2 Version of the program for the period November-March.
We will go to the ultramodern Manzherok ski resort, where those who wish can go skiing or snowboarding, or take an excursion on a gondola lift to the top of Mount Sinyukha, from above there is a divine view of the mountains and rivers.
Then you will have a walk to Kamyshlinsky waterfall (all year round), or to the piercing blue and transparent lakes "Eyes of Katun" (it is possible to visit only in the period from (05)September 10 to 01 (10) May).
Lunch at the cafe (self-paid, 450-750 rubles)
At the end of the day, we will take a walk from Patmos Island to Chemalskaya HPP.
This route, of course, can be called one of the most popular – "must see" in Altai.
You will walk over a suspension bridge to the monastery on the island right in the middle of a mountain river, walk along a picturesque goat trail, from where you will admire the confluence of two rivers – Chemala and Katuni.
In the evening, dinner by the fireplace.
A hot bath, if desired, it is possible to swim in a mountain river after a bath (paid separately).

Day 3 - A journey along the Chui highway
Breakfast.
There is a long, but incredibly interesting and eventful path ahead along one of the most beautiful roads in the world – the Chui tract.
We will overcome two passes: admire the cedar forest on Seminsky (1717m) and explore the ancient caravan trails on the picturesque Chik Taman.
We are waiting for: meditation in the place of power, where the silvery Chuya River flows into the mighty Katun, as well as an ancient sanctuary, one of the largest petroglyphic complexes in Altai – Kalbak-Tash, where for thousands of years ancient artists created rock art samples (more than 3,000 drawings have been preserved).
We will see many changing landscapes, peacefully grazing herds, modern and ancient archaeological sites, as well as the 12-meter-high Shirlak waterfall.

Day 4 - Altai Mars. Geyser Lake
Breakfast.
Today you will see a wide variety of landscapes: from the mysterious turquoise geyser lake, at the bottom of which patterns are literally changing before your eyes, to the vast expanses of the Kurai steppe, surrounded by a bowl of snowy peaks of the North Chui range (the highest point is Mount Maashey-Bash 4177m.).
Next, we will visit the village of Kosh-Agach, located in the Primongolian Chui steppe, where peoples once roamed, strings of caravans plied.
You will see how different the natural and climatic features, flora and fauna in the south of Altai are.
On the way, we will collect healing water from the sacred spring of Arzhan-Suu.
Finally, we will take colorful photos in one of the most fantastic places in the Republic – Altai Mars or the famous Martian landscapes – amazing landscapes representing mountains, as if painted in layers in different colors.

Day 5 - The sanctuary of Adyr-Kan. Ilgumen. Place of Power - Uch-Enmek Nature Park
After breakfast, we leave the rooms and head back along the Chui highway.
We will visit the ancient sanctuary of Adyr-Kan, take panoramic pictures with a view of the Katun terraces and find out how this kind of relief was formed.
Then we will walk to the mouth of the Bolshoy Ilgumen River, where the 300-meter Ilgumen threshold is formed, as if hypnotizing with its power and beauty.
After lunch, we will have a tour of the Karakol Valley and the Uch-Enmek Nature Park.
For centuries, the locals believed in the power of their land, conducted shamanic rituals here, and built ancient sanctuaries.
The valley is rich in archaeological artifacts, many of which still remain mysteries.
The Valley is crowned by the sacred and revered mountain Uch-Enmek.
The tour will help you immerse yourself in the culture, way of life and customs of the Altai people, and fill yourself with the healing energy of Altai.
Check-in at the hotel / campsite.
A farewell dinner.
The next morning you can continue your independent rest, or easily get to the airport in Gorno-Altaysk.

The tour provides accommodation at camp sites along the way in rooms of the “Standard” category (double accommodation with amenities).

The surcharge for single occupancy is 17,500 rubles.

When ordering an individual tour (group of 6 people) the cost of the tour for 1 person is 81,700 rubles.

Please specify details about possible accommodation options for a specific arrival date when booking.

The tour also includes accommodation at the Igman hotel in Gorno-Altaisk or at a similar campsite on the last day, please specify when booking.

The campsite depends on the date of travel. If accommodation at any particular campsite is essential for you, then it is possible to coordinate this with the organizers in advance.

You will be stationed at two different bases in different regions of Altai. Possible options are stated in this tour:

Base No. 1: "Territory of happiness"/"Salyut"/"Cedar"/"Yav"/"Royal Comfort"

Base No. 2: "Nomad"/"Rasul"/"Alatau"/"Shavlo"/"Khan-Altai"

Hotel No. 3: Igman

Accommodation is double (possible triple or quadruple on request).

All the camp sites for the route are located in picturesque places with mountain views, on the banks of rivers.

The shower and toilet are in the room at the "Standard" rate.

All camp sites have baths, which can be ordered additionally.

There are sockets in the cabins/rooms. But almost the entire Altai Republic is a rural area where electricity is often cut off. We recommend that you take a powerbank with you.

Most camp sites do not have a hair dryer. If you need it, you'd better bring it with you.

As a rule, the housing for accommodation is made of wood. You will stay in rooms at some bases, and in separate cabins at some camp sites. Bed linen and towels are provided everywhere.

Hygiene kits are not provided. If you decide to go to the sauna, then you may need your own towel – not all baths give them out.
