Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Altai. Excursion along the Chui tract, stops at the maralnik flowering sites
Meeting in the morning in Gorno-Altaysk or Biysk of the participants of the trip.

Loading into the transport, after which we set off along the famous Chuisky highway through the high mountain passes: the highest is the Seminsky and the most winding is the Chike Taman.

Along the way, we will stop at beautiful places and places of mass flowering of maralnik – Yaloman and Ilgumen.

We will see the confluence of two large rivers Chuya and Katuni.

On the way, meals at the cafe (self-paid).

In the evening, we are accommodated in cabins at a campsite in the area of the mountain village of Aktash.

Length: by car – 440 km, on foot ~ 2 km.
Meals: dinner.

Day 2 - Geyser Lake and Ulagan Plateau
Today we continue our journey, after breakfast we stop at the Geyser Lake – the only one of its kind, rare in beauty and origin.

After the excursion to the lake, we continue on our way.

We will go to the Ulagan plateau, strewn with hundreds of lakes, and see some of the most beautiful Dead Lake and Kidel Lake.

The road goes through the Red Gate, at this point the road passes between two red rocks.

Length: by car – 120 km, on foot ~ 2 km.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner.

Day 3 - Martian landscapes of Kyzyl-Chin and the Kurai steppe
On this day, we will make a trip to the depths of the Chui steppe and see the real miracle of Altai nature – the Martian landscapes of Kyzyl-Chin.

This is a wonderful place not only for photographers, geologists, but also for beauty lovers.
The mountains seem to be painted in stripes in different shades of red, yellow and green!
No wonder Kyzyl-Chin is called the branch of Mars on Earth!
The road passes through the Kurai steppe.
grandiose views of the snowy peaks of the North Chui range will open to our eyes: Aktru, Kurkurek, etc.

Length: by car – 170 km, on foot ~ 6-7 km.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner.

Day 4 - Completion of the program
Our journey to the heart of Altai is coming to an end, we will have to return along the Chui highway to the city of Biysk.

On the way, we will again be able to enjoy the beautiful pink valleys of the Altai maralnik, as well as buy souvenirs, gifts for relatives and friends.
