Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of the city "The city of treskoedov". "German settlement". Master class and gastro-dinner

    Arrival in Arkhangelsk, transfer to the hotel for an additional fee.

    Meeting of tourists in the hotel lobby with a tasting board. We will definitely treat our dear guests to Pomeranian delicacies and berry tinctures.

    Sightseeing tour of the city "The city of treskoedov".

    The most attractive place in the city is considered to be the embankment of the Northern Dvina, where the tourist hits of Arkhangelsk are located: for example, the monument to Peter I, who once conceived the idea of founding an admiralty here.

    You will visit Cape Pur-Navolok– the founding site of Arkhangelsk. In the Living Rooms, on the powerful walls of which even today one can imagine how three centuries ago trade was noisy behind them.

    The guide will show and tell you about the Assumption Church, Solombala Island, the cradle of the Russian navy, and much more. Two hours of guided tour – and a lot of new impressions, knowledge about the history of Russia and the development of the Russian North, about modern life and the past of Arkhangelsk.

    Walking tour of the "German settlement" – the place of settlement of foreign merchants and industrialists.

    You have the most interesting opportunity to stroll through the places where mansions and mansions of foreign merchants stood just a hundred years ago. Each house here was especially beautiful and together they resembled the cozy estates of a Western European city. Arkhangelsk at that time gave travelers the impression of a "City with a German face."

    Historical lunch of foreign Arkhangelsk residents with beer and cheese tasting.

    Lunch will be atmospheric! There are old maps, household items of the German settlement and the interiors of merchant houses in pre-revolutionary Arkhangelsk, and on the table there is hot beer soup with sausages, smoked catfish on juniper and a sweet beer pie with cinnamon, prunes and nuts.

    Master class on painting the goat – Arkhangelsk gingerbread.

    Check-in at the hotel, free time, independent way to a restaurant in the city center.

    19:00 Gastro-dinner "Acquaintance with the cuisine of the North".

    In the cozy restaurant you will appreciate the most interesting specialties of the region, discover the traditions of local cuisine and, of course, taste the Russian North. The dinner is accompanied by a performance from one of the restaurant's team members with a story about the traditions and local products from this menu.

    Sample menu (may vary depending on the season):

    • homemade bread with whipped butter;
    • strong creamy dried broth with glazed halibut and pickled flatbread with corned beef;
    • porridge with dried venison and goat cheese;
    • catfish fillet with pike roe, celery root cream and fresh herbs, and creamy sauce based on strong chicken broth and dried ruff;
    • dessert of the local cuisine.

    Independent way to the hotel.

    Good afternoon! We were on the "Northern Lights Hunt" tour in Arkhangelsk from March 2 to 5. Overall, everything was very well organized, and we would especially like to thank our guide Marina for the informative excursions and her warm, caring attitude toward us throughout the trip. Unfortunately, because of the weather, we didn’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights, which was a bit disappointing. Still, thank you very much for the wonderful trip and the excellent organization.

    I really enjoyed the trip—thanks to the tour managers! Everything was well-organized and clearly planned. I especially appreciated how quickly they responded to any questions I had and explained everything patiently. Even though I was traveling solo, all the excursions felt lively and engaging. It was a bit disappointing that the last tour was canceled, but I appreciated the advance notice, which gave me the chance to arrange a visit on my own. I’ll definitely recommend you!
