Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of Arkhangelsk. Arkhangelsk Gostiny Dvory
The recommended arrival in Arkhangelsk is before 10:00.

Arkhangelsk is a city with a beautiful name, the first commercial seaport in Russia, founded at the end of the 16th century by decree of Ivan the Terrible.
On the shore of the Northern Dvina on the cape with the mysterious name "Pur-Navolok" you will learn about why the city was founded here and how it got its name, get acquainted with the centuries-old history: from the time when brisk trade was booming here, Peter the Great founded the first state shipyard and launched the first commercial the ship "Saint Paul".
You will hear about famous people, about Arctic expeditions, the first of which set off from the docks of Arkhangelsk, about the sights located along the Embankment of the Northern Dvina.

The Arkhangelsk Museum of Local Lore is one of the oldest museums in Russia: it turned 185 years old in 2022.
The "Meet Gostiny Dvor!" tour is a journey into the past that opens the pages of Arkhangelsk's history and the more than three hundred—year history of Arkhangelsk's Gostiny Dvors.

Day 2 - Severodvinsk. The Northern Maritime Museum. The Northern Museum of Local Lore. Jagra Island

Excursion day "From Kocha to the submarine".
The Northern Maritime Museum is Russia's only state marine museum with a scientific and technical profile. The museum is the keeper of material and spiritual values related to the maritime culture not only of the Russian North, but also of the whole of Russia, as well as the countries of the Barents Euro-Arctic region.
The exhibition "The Millennium of Northern Navigation" will tell you about the history of northern shipbuilding, polar expeditions, the icebreaking fleet and other milestones in the development of Arctic navigation.
A special place is occupied by the history of the northern convoys during the Great Patriotic War.
But what a maritime museum without models of ships! There are more than two dozen of them here, from models of three-masted sailboats of the 17th century to the famous "Saint Foka", on which Georgy Sedov set off to the North Pole.
The museum's collection includes Pomeranian gear, marine devices and instruments, nautical charts, as well as rare publications related to navigation.

Country tour "Severodvinsk – a city by the White Sea".
During the tour, you will learn the history of the founding and formation of the city from the time of the Nikolo-Korel Monastery to the grandiose construction of Molotovsk, which was once the name of Severodvinsk, the center of nuclear shipbuilding.
The acquaintance with the history of the development of the Russian submarine fleet will continue at the Severodvinsk Museum of Local Lore.
You will see an interactive composite model of a nuclear submarine. You will learn about technical solutions in the field of design and construction technology of nuclear submarines, about their internal structure and equipment of premises.
Transfer to the shore of the White Sea on the island of Yagry on the picturesque coast.
The southern coast of the Arctic, century-old pine trees in the vast white expanses and the icy hummocks of the White Sea will not leave anyone indifferent.
Return to Arkhangelsk.

Day 3 - Excursion "Kholmogory and Lomonosov's homeland". Master class of bone carving

A journey to the homeland of the great scientist, "universal" man Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov.
As part of the tour, we will visit ancient Kholmogory, a land with a rich history and culture, the territory of ancient fortresses, monasteries and temples, the first commercial shipyard and artful lace bone carvings.
We will visit the Transfiguration Cathedral, see the "brainchild" of Archbishop Athanasius - the bell tower observatory, learn the sad story of the Brunswick imperial family and the Russian "man in the iron mask."
We will go along the ice ferry to the village of Lomonosovo, which is located on the Kurostrov near the village of Kholmogory, where we will get acquainted with the village, visit the historical and memorial museum of M.V. Lomonosov.
At the master class of bone carving, we will learn the secrets of this amazing craft and try ourselves as a bone carver, creating a memorable decoration with our own hands.

Day 4 - Museum of Artistic Exploration of the Arctic. Master class on painting "kozuli"
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to the museum and exhibition complex "Museum of Artistic Exploration of the Arctic named after A.A. Borisov", where paintings by Alexander Borisov, the first Arctic artist who painted Arctic landscapes from nature, are presented. Borisov is a world–renowned painter, a student of I. Shishkin and A. Kuindzhi.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, exhibitions of Borisov's paintings enjoyed great success. The Arkhangelsk Museum has a unique collection of the artist's works: almost all the works with which Alexander Borisov triumphantly traveled through the cities of Europe and America at the beginning of the 20th century are stored here.
Guided tour "The Mystery of the northern gingerbread" with a master class on painting the northern gingerbread - "kozuli". The name of the traditional gingerbread "goat" comes from the Pomeranian word for "curl", "snake". Arkhangelsk roe deer is a flat gingerbread pastry with white sugar and colored glaze.
Once upon a time, gingerbread men in Arkhangelsk began baking goats two months before Christmas in molds made of iron, and in December they were decorated with elegant sugars. Goats were given to children and used as decorations, and recipes were passed down from generation to generation.
Pedestrian Chumbarova-Luchinsky Street, where unique Pomeranian houses with carved architraves, elegant porches and bay windows, former merchant estates have been preserved. There are numerous cafes and souvenir shops on the pedestrian street.

Day 5 - Fabulous Pinezhye

The Fabulous Pinezhye country tour is a journey to the edge of a real northern fairy tale, untouched pristine nature, dense centuries–old forests, northern caves and amazing history (travel time in one direction is 3.5 hours).
The Pinezh caves are a unique natural phenomenon: underground karst caves and systems, the largest and most numerous in the European part of Russia.
You will discover the wonderful world of the northern caves, where the eternal cold and darkness keep the secrets of bygone centuries. Twilight halls and mysterious galleries, grotto ceilings covered with soft and fragile snowflakes, shaped icicles and ice crystals with diamond luster.
It seems that Mother Winter herself waved her magic staff and created this icy splendor.…

Excursion to the Pinezhsky Museum of Local Lore. An introduction to the history of the once famous county town of Pinega, a story about the representatives of the most famous and richest dynasty of merchants of the region – the Volodins.
Return to Arkhangelsk (one-way trip time 3.5 hours).
