Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Arkhangelsk. City tour. The Malye Korely Museum

Meeting at the railway station or at the Arkhangelsk airport.

Transfer to the hotel (for an additional fee).

We leave our things in the luggage room of the hotel.

11:00 Sightseeing car and walking tour "Welcome to Arkhangelsk".

The most attractive place in the city is considered to be the embankment of the Northern Dvina, where the tourist hits of Arkhangelsk are located: for example, the monument to Peter I, who once conceived the idea of founding an admiralty here.

You will visit Cape Pur-Navolok— the founding site of Arkhangelsk.

In the Living Rooms, on the powerful walls of which even today one can imagine how three centuries ago trade was noisy behind them.

The guide will show and tell you about the Assumption Church, Solombala Island, the cradle of the Russian navy, and much more.

Two hours of guided tour – and a lot of new impressions, knowledge about the history of Russia and the development of the Russian North, about modern life and the past of Arkhangelsk.

Lunch in the best traditions of Pomeranian cuisine.

Country bus tour to Russia's largest open—air museum - the Museum of Wooden Architecture and Folk art "Malye Korely" (25 km from Arkhangelsk).

The nature of the North is unique, and here we see it in all its diversity. Majestic firs and pines, delicate grasses, dense forests and clearings, hills and lowlands, a wide horizon and an inviting distance. And against this background, the wooden architecture of the North, the simplicity of natural materials and the rigor of forms. After the noisy and dusty city, it's easy to breathe here, the eye enjoys the natural and architectural forms, and the silence is soothing.

Walking tour of the Northern Arbat.

A walk along the wooden avenue of Chumbarov-Luchinsky is a journey to a time when every house had its own name, not just an ordinal number.

A short old street greets the atmosphere with benches, souvenir shops, cozy cafes and restaurants. This avenue is a kind of museum, where the exhibits are wooden houses in which residents of Arkhangelsk lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and it is here that the oldest house, built in 1848, has been preserved.

    Check-in at the hotel.

    Free time.

Good afternoon! We were on the "Northern Lights Hunt" tour in Arkhangelsk from March 2 to 5. Overall, everything was very well organized, and we would especially like to thank our guide Marina for the informative excursions and her warm, caring attitude toward us throughout the trip. Unfortunately, because of the weather, we didn’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights, which was a bit disappointing. Still, thank you very much for the wonderful trip and the excellent organization.

I really enjoyed the trip—thanks to the tour managers! Everything was well-organized and clearly planned. I especially appreciated how quickly they responded to any questions I had and explained everything patiently. Even though I was traveling solo, all the excursions felt lively and engaging. It was a bit disappointing that the last tour was canceled, but I appreciated the advance notice, which gave me the chance to arrange a visit on my own. I’ll definitely recommend you!
