Day 1 - Volgograd

Excursion program "Hero city Volgograd" with a visit to the monument-ensemble "Mamaev Kurgan".
You will get acquainted with the fascinating history of Tsaritsyn-Stalingrad-Volgograd, learn about its unusual foundation on a river island, about the industry and trade of merchant Tsaritsyn, about the Battle of Stalingrad, a fundamental turning point in World War II, visit the House of Sergeant Yakov Pavlov, one of the bastions of soldiers' glory; Lenin Square; the ruins of Gergard's mill.
You will be told about modern Volgograd, the "dancing bridge", the famous high—speed tram, the monument to the patron saint of Volgograd and, of course, about the tallest statue of Russia - the sculptural composition "Motherland".
Next— visit the panorama museum of the Battle of Stalingrad.
It consists of 8 exhibition halls, 4 dioramas, a triumphal, pre-panorama and panoramic halls, a cinema hall, and a military historical library.
The complex was built on the historical landing site of the 13th Guards Rifle Division of Major General A. I. Rodimtsev in September 1942. With the help of AR technology, which allows us to "revive" the panorama museum's exposition, make it more dynamic and fulfilling, thanks to augmented reality, we will fully immerse ourselves in historical events.

Day 2 - Staraya Sarepta Museum-Reserve

On the territory of the museum-reserve "Staraya Sarepta" you will learn about the European colonists in Volgograd. The museum is unique for Russia and Europe, there are few similar architectural complexes of the former Gerngut colony, founded in 1765, in the world.
The museum-reserve includes: Freedom Square, the German church, the pastor's house, the house of the German colonist and the Goldbach House, which houses an exhibition of German crafts from Sarepta in the 18th and 19th centuries.
On the Krasnoarmeyskaya Embankment, you will be told the secret of the construction of the Volga-Don Canal named after V. I. Lenin, the largest hydraulic engineering structure at the monument to V.I. Lenin, 57 meters high.

Day 3 - Baskunchak Lake and Sarai Batu

Departure for an excursion to the Bogdinsk-Baskunchak Nature Reserve, Sarai Batu and Astrakhan.
When leaving Volgograd, do not forget to set the clock. The time difference in Astrakhan is +1 hour by Moscow time.
You will have an exciting trip with a swim in the salt lake Baskunchak and a visit to the reconstruction of the ancient city of Sarai Batu. You can also see Mount Bogdo from afar, the only one in the entire Astrakhan region.
To the northeast of the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain is Bolshoe Bogdo Mountain and the salt lake Baskunchak. These unique natural sites are part of the Bogdinsk-Baskunchak Nature Reserve.
You will visit one of the most beautiful and unusual lakes in the world — the salt lake Baskunchak, which is famous for its salt, mud and waters of the "dead Sea".
Attention! Swimming in the lake is impossible without rubber slippers! The entire bottom of the lake is covered with sharp salt crystals! Bring bathing accessories, a towel, rubber slippers, and a hat. There is no rental of deck chairs and umbrellas on the lake shore. In the bus parking lot, it is possible to rinse off after bathing in the shower stalls (an additional fee of 150 rubles / person). It is about 1 km on foot from the parking place to the lake.

Day 5 - Sturgeon Farm — lotus fields

You will get acquainted with Astrakhan's "Royal Fish", visit the largest water area covered with lotuses, and be able to take unique photos.
The gastronomic journey begins with a visit to the sturgeon farm, which takes 40-50 minutes to reach under the fascinating story of the guide.
The tour takes place at one of the largest sturgeon fish farming enterprises in the Astrakhan region. You will get acquainted with different types of sturgeon, as well as the process of their reproduction. The farm's guide will conduct a detailed tour, tell you and show you how each type of sturgeon species differs.
They will tell you about the process of obtaining caviar in the lifetime method, as well as about the subtleties of keeping juveniles in pools. For gourmets, there is an opportunity to taste the freshest black caviar for an additional fee.
There is a company store on the farm's territory where you can buy farm products at below—market prices (with a full package of documents) - hot and cold-smoked sturgeon, balyk and black caviar without intermediaries and trade margins, hot and cold-smoked catfish, dried roach, bream, pike caviar, various canned fish, preserves, fresh fish and more at a bargain price; souvenirs with symbols of the Astrakhan region and the sturgeon farm.
Gathering of the group and departure to the pier of the recreation center (the road to the pier is 30-40 minutes).
The base is located 70 kilometers from the city, on the picturesque bank of the Tabola River. It is truly a paradise with clear water and endless greenery.
At the pier, we transfer to boats and go to the recreation center, located in the rolling part of the Volga Delta, along the numerous channels of the Volga, admiring the wonderful landscapes.
A special gastronomic impression of this program will be a delicious fish lunch at the recreation center restaurant with delicious dishes: sturgeon ear, sturgeon steak with homemade potatoes, sliced vegetables, tea or compote, bread.
After lunch, a boat trip along the Volga Delta to the lotus fields begins (the time of the water tour to the lotuses and back is 1.5-2 hours).
You will have the opportunity to get to know the nature of the Astrakhan region better, see the picturesque landscapes, as well as the inhabitants of the Volga Delta (there are more than 300 species of birds here alone, and more than 100 of them are listed in the Red Books of various levels!).
The most attentive will be able to see the white-tailed eagle, count the number of heron species and make a wish for splashing fish.
In July and August, the period of lotus blossoming begins on the Caspian ridges, it is at this moment that the delta turns into one of the most unique corners of the world, because there is no such water area covered with lotuses anywhere else, and the area of lotus fields reaches 5,000 hectares!
If possible, swimming is organized on one of the islands in the rolling part of the Delta.
In your free time, a swimming pool and a recreation area are available on the territory of the recreation center, as well as the opportunity to fish from the bridges and catch the coveted trophy.

Day 6 - Elista is a pearl of the steppe

07:30-08:00 Gathering of the group from the hotels. You are going on an excursion to the capital of Buddhism in Russia — the authentic Elista, the capital of the Republic of Kalmykia.
It takes 3-4 hours to get to Elista, but thanks to the interesting travel information from the guide, time flies by unnoticeably.
The amazing things will begin on the way: the endless steppe expanses, through which the Great Silk Road ran and the caravans of nomads traveled, pacify and help to tune in to the creative mood so characteristic of Buddhism.
It is this attitude that will allow you to fully enjoy the objects of a sightseeing tour of the city: the largest Buddhist temple in Europe, the Golden Abode of Shakyamuni Buddha, the Seven Days pagoda, the Dragon and Boy fountain, Druzhba Park, and also pass through the Altyn Bosch Golden Gate, believed to purify soul and thoughts.
