Day 1 - Irkutsk – Listvyanka
10:00 Meeting at the airport. Sightseeing tour of Irkutsk.
We will pick you up from Irkutsk airport and, before taking you to Lake Baikal, we will take you on a small excursion route through the capital of eastern Siberia.
The guide will show the snow-whiteThe Church of the Savior is the first stone city building. You will also see a place inextricably linked with the legendary Admiral Kolchak, and the Siberian variation of the Arbat of the XVIII-XIX centuries.
13:00 Transfer to Listvyanka.
At the end of a short historical excursion, we will leave the city, so that in just an hour we will see the water expanses of a mighty lake.
14.00 Check-in at the hotel.
15:30 Sightseeing tour of Listvyanka (Baikal Museum, cable car).
After checking into the hotel and lunch, we will go on an excursion to the Baikal Limnological Museum. It is unique because almost all of its exposition is dedicated to Lake Baikal. You will be privy to all the details: the geological structure, landscapes, inhabitants of the shores and depths. In addition, you will see seals – the cutest and sweetest Baikal endemics.
It's time to admire the views of the Baikal waves from a bird's-eye view. To do this, we will climb the cable car to a height of 728.4 m. It's called the Chersky Stone. Near the top there is an observation deck, which offers a spectacular sight: the majestic snow-capped Khamar-Daban ridge, Lake Baikal and the source of the Angara.

Day 2 - Listvyanka – KZHBD – Irkutsk
7:30 Breakfast at the hotel.
10:00 Transfer to the pier, boarding the train.
On the second day, after an early breakfast, we will cross the Angara River and board a retro train at the port of Baikal.* The structure includes modern wagons, which are headed by steam locomotive traction. This transport will make a standard trip a real time travel through the era of the late XIX - early XX century. It was then that it was builtThe Circum-Baikal Railway.
You will be able to appreciate the skills of talented foreign and domestic architects who participated in the writing of the KBZHD project. You will be impressed by the reinforcing retaining walls with Italian masonry, high viaducts with perfect arches and long tunnels with rounded galleries. Also pay attention to how well man-made structures are intertwined with natural beauties.
20:00 Arrival in Irkutsk and transfer to the hotel.
The tour will come to an end in the evening at the Irkutsk railway station, from where we will go to the hotel.
*Please note: depending on the train schedule, the tour may take a boat trip along the coastline. You will consider all the elements of the KBZHD in combination with the rich nature. If this version of the program takes place, the sightseeing tour of Listvyanka will be postponed to the second day.

Day 3 - Irkutsk – Olkhon – Khuzhir village – Shamanka rock
9:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
10:00 Transfer to Olkhon.
Today we will change the location. Just a few hours after breakfast at the hotel, you will find yourself on the island of Olkhon — in one of the most desirable places for travelers in the Baikal region.
13:00 Lunch at a roadside cafe at your own expense.
On the way, we will stop at a roadside cafe and enjoy Buryat bouzas.
16:00 Check-in at the recreation center and sightseeing tour.
Immediately after arriving on the island, we will check into the hotel and take a walk to Shamanka Rock before dinner. This is the most recognizable Olkhon landmark, which is depicted in most memorable photos. The place has an incredibly powerful energy due to the traditional shamanic rituals held here.
Another, no less famous location is located nearby — 13 sacred pillars of Serge, so that the spirits summoned by the shaman could tie their heavenly horses to them.
After the walk, we will return back to the hotel to relax and gain strength before a busy new day.

Day 4 - Cape Khoboy

10:00 Start of the excursion to Khoboy.
We're going to the presentA place of power — get ready to experience deep intense emotions! Here, every centimeter of the earth is saturated with primitive shamanic energy.
After breakfast, we will take a UAZ-loaf, the most suitable car by the standards of the local landscape, and drive to Cape Khoboy, located at the northernmost point of the island. Until some point, the location was sacred, and tourists did not visit it, so sacred were the rituals performed here.
In addition, Khoboy is a first-class observation deck on the widest part of the lake, the so-called "big Baikal". It is in this place that the scope of the mighty lake and its scale are fully felt! Lunch will be served for you right in the fresh air so that you can not tear yourself away from the view of the Baikal expanses.
On the way back, we will visit natural monuments: the spectacular Three Brothers rockery and the Sandy tract, famous for its magnificent dunes. We will arrive at the hotel for dinner.

Day 5 - Olkhon

This day will be at your disposal, because it is free from the main program! You can visit the museum and then taste Olkhon cuisine in one of the local cafes. Or go down to the coast to sunbathe and ride sap boards.
You can also rent bicycles or arrange a horse ride. If you prefer that we organize these days for you, choose additional activity when booking a tour in advance. Our managers can offer a tour of the southern part of the island, a water route to Ogoy Island or an evening boat trip on the islands of the Small Sea.
An unforgettable Olkhon sunset will be a wonderful end to the day. Why is he necessarily indescribably handsome? Yes, because Olkhon is one of the sunniest places on the planet.

Day 6 - Olkhon – Ust-Barguzin settlement

On the sixth day of the tour, we will change our location again and set off towards new adventures. After breakfast at the hotel, we will walk to the coastline and board a speedboat. On it, we will go around Olkhon and cross the lake to the opposite shore to dock at Ust-Barguzin.

We will check into the hotel and have lunch, and then return to the beautiful coast to enjoy a leisurely beach holiday until the evening. You need to have a good rest before the upcoming active events!

Day 7 - Barguzin Valley

10:00 Excursion to the Barguzin valley, lunch picnic.
Today you will have a car tour of the incredible Barguzin Valley, rich in natural, historical and cultural landmarks. This land is especially revered by the locals, as it is considered the birthplace of Genghis Khan's mother. The first stop is in the village of Barguzin to get acquainted with the majestic Cathedral of the Transfiguration. After that, we will stop for lunch in Ulyun: you will taste juicy bouzas, crispy huushuurs and fragrant boohler.
The next point of the route is the datsan "Palace of the Goddess Yanzhima", located at the foot of the mountains of the Barguzin range. The palace is famous for its ability to give motherhood, for which many people from different parts of the country come here.
Another phenomenon of the valley is the Yining Rock Garden. This is an unusual complex of stone blocks that seem to have grown out of the ground. Some cobblestones are quite impressive in size - about 4 m in circumference. And at the foot of the Ikat ridge you will see picturesque cliffs that invariably evoke associations with the ruins of an ancient castle. The locals named it the Suva Saxon Castle or Suva Saxony. We will return to the hotel in Ust-Barguzin village for dinner.

Day 8 - P. Ust-Barguzin
Good Baikal morning! It's time to take a break from traveling. We offer you to spend the day at your own pleasure! We remind you that Ust-Barguzin has romantic beaches for a secluded holiday, where you can stay in peace and quiet with your loved ones.

By the way, Baikal tan lasts much longer than sea tan. Do not miss the opportunity to get the vitamin D that everyone needs, lying on the golden sand and listening to the lapping of the waves with the cries of seagulls.
Day 9 - Ust-Barguzin village – Ivolginsky datsan – Ulan-Ude

10:00 Transfer to Ulan-Ude. Excursion to the Ivolginsky datsan.
Once again, let's change the situation to get a fresh batch of impressions and see something previously unknown to you! We are going to the capital of Buryatia.

We'll visit on the wayIvolginsky datsan "Khambyn Khure" is a significant place for local culture. This is a monastery complex of very spectacular and colorful datsans, which is the center of the Buddhist traditional Sangha of the whole country, as well as a historical and architectural monument. During the tour, you will touch the invisible matter from the plexus of Buddhist philosophy and, perhaps, acquire new views on life.
In the afternoon we will arrive in Ulan-Ude. How you will spend the evening: relax at the hotel or take a walk around the city — decide for yourself.

Day 10 - S. Tarbagatai

On the tenth day of the trip, another vivid cultural and historical excursion "Visiting the Semeyskys" will be held for you.
The Semeyskys appeared in Siberia in the second half of the XVII century, and before that they lived in pre-Petrine Moscow Russia. These are representatives of the Old Believers, bearers of the ancient ethno-confessional code. UNESCO has named them "A Masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of mankind" for their meticulously recreated Russian folk life.
14:00 Lunch at Semeysky's.
We will visit the museum of the life of the Old Believers and visit the ancient Orthodox church, visit the compound of the Old Believers, see their rituals and customs. For lunch, we will have a table with dishes of Old Russian cuisine. After that, we will head back to Ulan-Ude, where we will spend a free evening at the hotel.

Day 11 - Ulan-Ude

It's important to know

Shoes and socks:

Running shoes. There are no paved roads near the lake. Take light and quick-drying shoes. Asics, Nike, and Salomon have it on sale.
Flip-flops. They will be useful when going to the sauna and pool, as well as in the room. There are no special requirements. The main thing is not to slip.
Sandals. It is best to choose shoes with foot fixation and closed toe. Buy Salomon models with a Contagrip sole and you will not lose.
Trekking boots. Lightness, impermeability and good foot fixation are the main requirements for your shoes. Such models are sold at North Face, Keen and Scarpa.
Socks. The activity of ticks in the Baikal region occurs in May-July. Take several pairs of classic long socks so that you can tuck your pants into them before going into the forest.

Outerwear:

When choosing jackets, pants, T-shirts, rely on the following aspects:

Headdress:

Baikal is very changeable. In summer, it bakes here no worse than in the southern resorts. To protect yourself from sun or heat stroke, be sure to bring a panama hat or a light-colored baseball cap. In the evenings or in bad weather, on the contrary, we recommend taking light hats that cover your ears from the wind.
