Itinerary

  • Day 1 - The Small Sea. A walk on the ice of Lake Baikal and an excursion on Khivus. Siberian SPA!

    Arrival in Irkutsk, meeting at the airport 8:00-8:30 (opposite the baggage claim), at the railway station 9:00-9:30 (entrance to the Suburban ticket offices) with a sign "Ice and flame". 

    After gathering the group, we go to breakfast. 

    After breakfast, we go to Lake Baikal, to the very heart of it – to the Small Sea. 

    On the way, you will hear an interesting guide's story about Lake Baikal and enjoy the picturesque view outside the window. 

    After passing the village of Yelants, we will make a stop at the bronze figure of a flying eagle, the patron saint of the steppe expanses of Tazheran and Olkhon. 

    And now, after 20 km– the first view of Lake Baikal.

    Here the Tramp hero of the Russian folk song was immortalized in bronze “Through the wild steppes of Transbaikalia.” 

    Upon arrival at the Small Sea, accommodation in warm, comfortable rooms and a hearty lunch. 

    In the afternoon, after a rest, we will have a walk on the ice of Lake Baikal and an excursion to Khivus.

    Khivus is a comfortable hovercraft, the safest and most comfortable for traveling on the ice of Lake Baikal. 

    We will stop in beautiful places and take great pictures.

    P.We take bright things with us on the trip: hats, scarves, sweaters, skirts and even swimsuits.

    We return to the hotel, have a little rest, and go to warm up: a Siberian SPA awaits us!

    You haven't tried this before. 

    Traditionally: a Russian bathhouse, with a birch broom and herbal Baikal teas, and a Siberian bath tub, right in the open air, with a wonderful view of Lake Baikal, sunset and stars appearing one after another above you! 

    The water in the vat is heated to 42 degrees, herbal decoctions or birch brooms are brewed in it – pleasure and benefit in its pure form.

Baikal Forest Hotel 1 night

Baikal Forest Hotel is located in Irkutsk, 2.5 km from V. Bronstein Gallery. It offers a bar and private parking. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi, as well as room service. Those who wish can book family rooms.

They are equipped with air conditioning, a desk, a kettle, a refrigerator, a safe and a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower. Towels and bed linen are provided in each room at Baikal Forest Hotel.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • Necessary clothes and shoes:
    • warm and stable shoes;
    • a warm windproof jacket (preferably with a hood);
    • trousers – with the same qualities as a jacket;
    • the hat is better synthetic, with a non-blown membrane;
    • warm two-layer scarf;
    • non-blown gloves and mittens (gloves can be made of fleece, mittens must be with protective material) it is better to take both;
    • thermal underwear;
    • fleece;
    • sweater, T-shirt;
    • trekking winter socks (moisture-absorbing) + wool socks. (and light cotton ones);
  • Camping equipment:
    • sunscreen;
    • sunglasses (you can also take a ski mask);
    • thermos (at your discretion);
    • first aid kit (personal);

Also, for the convenience of moving with personal belongings, you can take a backpack up to 40 liters or a small bag (in addition to a suitcase / bag that will be located at the hotel).
