Itinerary

Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of Irkutsk. Listvyanka. The Baikal Museum. Fish market
Welcome to Irkutsk!
Meeting with the sign.
Group gathering:
airport – 8-8:30 inside the building at the exit to the city (opposite the baggage claim);
railway station – 9-9:30 (entrance "suburban ticket offices", inside the building at the exit to the city).
After gathering the group, we go to breakfast.
Our trip to Irkutsk begins with a sightseeing tour.
We will introduce you to the history of our city.
After exploring the Siberian city, the group goes to Listvyanka village.
On the way, we will visit the ethnographic open-air museum complex "Taltsy".
The museum recreates the cultural and everyday life of the Siberian village of the 17th and 19th centuries.
Here you will see the estates of wealthy peasants, the Spasskaya Tower of the Ilimsky ostrog, the Parish Council, the parish school, the temple of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God of the 17th century.
What is especially interesting is that each courtyard of the museum has its own exposition, you can go into each house and plunge into the atmosphere of those times.
After visiting the museum, we continue on our way to Listvyanka.
First, we will be greeted by a Shaman-a stone covered with myths and legends.
Many people know the legend of the love of Angara and Yenisei.
After visiting the Baikal Museum, you will meet the inhabitants of the lake here.
Seals, hamaruses, gobies, sponges – these are the amazing organisms that live in Lake Baikal.
A walk through Listvyanka with a visit to the fish market and souvenir stalls.

Day 2 - Circum-Baikal Railway
Breakfast at the hotel.
A very eventful, interesting and long day of sightseeing.
Excursion along the KBZHD (Circum-Baikal Railway).
424 engineering structures have been built on 84 km of the road from Kultuk station to Baikal station, including 39 tunnels with a total length of 8,994 m.
14 km of retaining walls, 47 stone and 3 iron galleries have been built in collapse-prone areas.
In terms of volume, complexity and cost of work, this section had no equal among the railways of Russia.
Before the revolution, it was called the “Golden Buckle of the Steel Belt of Russia”, the buckle – because it connected the Trans–Siberian railway torn by Baikal, and the golden one - because it surpassed all roads that existed in Russia in terms of cost of work.
Today, Forbes magazine has included KBZHD among the most beautiful railway routes in the world.

Day 3 - Olkhon Island
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Olkhon Island.
During the trip, the landscape outside the window will change from urban to endless steppes, green taiga and finally, the rocky shores of Lake Baikal.
On the way, the stop is an acquaintance with shamanic traditions and a folklore performance near Ust–Horde (the place of performance can be replaced in case of force majeure).
And at lunch, for the first time, you will appreciate the dishes of local cuisine (poses, boohler).
Arrival to Olkhon, accommodation at the recreation center.
Walking tour to Cape Burkhan.
Cape Burkhan (Shamanka Rock) is one of the nine Shrines of Asia.
A place of power with powerful energy!
Shamanka has always been the most revered holy place on Lake Baikal, rituals and vows have been performed here since the appearance of the first shamans.
The cape cave was considered the residence of Eugene, the island's owner.
It can be held on the day of arrival or the next day (depends on the time of arrival on the island).

Day 4 - Excursion to Cape Khoboy
Breakfast.
Car tour of Olkhon Island to Cape Khoboy.
The uniqueness and harsh beauty of the Khoboy was appreciated by the ancient inhabitants of Olkhon – the Khoboy was considered sacred and served as a place for religious rituals.
The tour is also interesting because you will drive all over the island – to its northernmost tip, see a variety of natural landscapes, the nature of Lake Baikal in miniature, and in the very north – its boundless distances!
During the tour, there will be a picnic lunch at one of the picturesque stops, where you can relax watching the beautiful landscapes of Lake Baikal and gain strength for further travel.

Day 5 - Departure

Departure to the city of Irkutsk (approximate departure time from Olkhon is 13:00 – 14:00).
