Day 1 - The road to Olkhon Island, Tazheran steppes
The place and time of the group's gathering: from the Angara hotel (Sukhbaatar str., 7, Irkutsk) in the period from 09.00 to 09.30 local time and from Irkutsk airport at 10.00.
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of power and especially powerful energy! Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, a concentration of shamanism in Central Asia. It is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. According to legend, Genghis Khan is buried here.
You will leave Irkutsk approximately at 10 a.m. The path will run through an area with picturesque views. The road will partially pass through the Tazheran steppes, decorated here and there with rocky remnants. Guests often refer to this segment of the journey as "Martian". Landscapes really transport you to some kind of alien reality!
Olkhon is an island, and they get to it in winter by crossing an ice crossing. After crossing, you will find about 40 km more along the steppes of Olkhon, and after that you will reach the center of the island – the village of Khuzhir.
In the evening, you have free time, which you can spend exploring the surroundings of the village. Within walking distance from the hotels on Olkhon is the business card of Lake Baikal — Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock). Shamanka is included in the attractions of the Baikal National Park. Be sure to take a walk to Shamanka Rock and try to feel the energy of this place and the power of Lake Baikal!
After enjoying the beautiful views, imbued with the energy of the sacred place, your first day of travel is coming to an end. Tomorrow you will have an even closer acquaintance with Lake Baikal and Olkhon.

Day 2 - Excursion to the north of Olkhon Island
Today you will go on a tour of Olkhon to its northern part to Cape Khoboy. We meet with the group after breakfast and hit the road. Today you will have a real adventure on the legendary Baikal ice.
On the way, you will see the outlines and amazing images of the Olkhon rocks, the marble walls of Cape Sagan-Khushun from the ice. You will spend the longest time at Cape Khoboy – its rocky, steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs, which exactly emphasizes the name (from the language of the local population, the name translates as "fang"). From the ice, the outline of the cape resembles the figure of a woman – an interesting local legend is connected with this, which you will be told about during the tour.
In the middle of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, surrounded by the winter Baikal beauty of nature.
The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory. You can take skates with you and ride on the ice of Lake Baikal (skate rental is available on request, not included in the price).
Back at the hotel, you will have a free evening.
Depending on the ice situation, the excursion to the north of Olkhon on the ice will be replaced by an excursion on land, that is, the movement will be on the ground without going out on the ice. All the locations announced on the tour will be visited. The only difference is in the overview – from the ice, tourists observe the capes from below, walk on the ice, on land – before the eyes of tourists, pictures of the vast Baikal open from above.

Day 3 - The road to Irkutsk. Completion of the tour program
Your tour program ends today.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will find the way back to Irkutsk via the ice crossing on Lake Baikal.
You have got acquainted with winter Lake Baikal, its legendary ice! We really hope that during the tour our region will be able to win your favor, and we know for sure that when you return home, you will feel like you are drawn to Lake Baikal again, to drink its energy, to enjoy the beauties!
If you wish, you can extend your unforgettable trip to Olkhon and add a tour of the south. You will visit one of the most popular places on Lake Baikal – Ogoy Island. Here you can see the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment, see the incredible ice caves of Lake Baikal, the shores decorated with multi-meter splashes.
