The Awakening of Olkhon

After breakfast, you will go on an excursion to the picturesque part of the island – to the north, to Cape Khoboy. 

The cape is located in the very north of the island. 

Its name is translated from the language of the local population as "fang", and indeed, the rocky steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs. 

You will also visit Cape of Love (or Cape Shunte-Left). 

Locals say that childless couples used to come to the cape, and after the rituals and prayers, they soon had children. 

It is believed that the cape has not lost its magical power to this day. 

In addition, as part of the tour, you will capture Cape Sagan-Khushun (or "Three Brothers"), a sheer cliff of snow–white marble.

You will see with your own eyes the unusual and impressive creation of the famous sculptor Dasha Namdakov “The Keeper of Lake Baikal” – this is his gift to Lake Baikal. 

The sculpture looks extremely authentic and majestic! 

You will strengthen your strength by eating a fragrant lunch against the backdrop of beautiful Baikal nature! 

The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory. 

Returning to the hotel, you can devote the evening to horseback riding (you must book in advance before leaving for Olkhon, not included in the price), rest.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will go to explore the south of the big island of Olkhon. 

The tour starts in the morning at 10 o'clock. 

The route of this excursion runs through the southern steppe part of the island. 

You will be amazed at how many surprises are hidden in a seemingly homogeneous steppe.

Sometimes you can meet a herd of wild horses on the way. 

At the observation deck "Polevoy Stan" you will have a panoramic view of the village of Khuzhir and all the local beauties. 

After that, you will go to Hankhoi Lake, also known as Yalga Lake. 

Very close to the lake there is a "Rock Garden" – a place that attracts tourists with its mysterious atmosphere, a notable feature of which are large and small piles of stones protruding from the ground, stacked in a kind of turrets.

Next you will see a lonely birch tree on the Olkhon. 

At first glance, it's a completely ordinary place. 

But this is only at first glance! 

This is a unique natural monument, which is also associated with a legend.

You will learn it during the tour, let's keep the intrigue for now! 

Further, the tour program includes a visit to high rock formations in the steppe, called "Trident" or "Castle Ruins". 

Be sure to try to climb them: you will have a view of the steppe, and on the other side of Lake Baikal.

You will also see the sunniest part of the island – Khalzany Falls, take a walk by the heart-shaped lake.

In the middle of the day, you will have a hearty picnic lunch in the fresh air, and the tour will end with a view of the Big Sea and return to Khuzhir.
