Itinerary

Day 1 - Guided tours of Irkutsk and Listvyanka
Meeting with the sign "Olkhon and Listvyanka".
Group gathering:
Airport: 8-8:30 inside the building at the exit to the city (opposite the baggage claim);
railway station: 9-9.30 (entrance "Suburban ticket offices", inside the building at the exit to the city).
Irkutsk is the capital of Eastern Siberia, the "Siberian Paris", as it was called.
We will introduce you to the history of the city and the most beautiful places.
After getting acquainted with Irkutsk, we go to the shore of Lake Baikal in Listvyanka.
On the way, we will visit the Taltsy Architectural and Ethnographic Museum, a unique open-air museum located on the territory of 67 hectares on the picturesque shore of the Angara River.
We will see unique buildings of the 17th and 19th centuries: the Spasskaya passage tower of the Ilimsky ostrog in 1667 and the operating Kazan Church in 1679, a parish school, a cascade of watermills of the late 19th century, a small village consisting of peasant estates of the 18th and 18th centuries.
We will definitely look into the tavern on the territory of the museum.
Here we recommend you to taste real sbiten and delicious pies with fillings from local berries.
We're moving on.
We will make a stop at the observation deck at the Shaman Stone, we will see the source of the Angara.
This is the only river that originates from this majestic and unique lake.

Take a walk along the shore of Lake Baikal, spend the sunset in one of the many cafes and try Baikal cuisine!
In Listvyanka, you can visit the Baikal Museum, where the guide will tell you about the history of the origin of Lake Baikal, its present and future.
And you can also get acquainted with representatives of the animal world in aquariums – omul, grayling, hamaruses, seals (entrance fee 400 rubles).
The village has its own Nerpinary, where Baikal seals perform (the cost of an entrance ticket is 1000 rubles).

Day 2 - Olkhon Island
We have breakfast and go to the central part of Lake Baikal, to its very heart – the island of Olkhon.
Transfer to Irkutsk and boarding the bus.
Group transfer by bus (for more information, see It is important to know).
The road will lead into the dark coniferous taiga to the pass and the Tazheran steppes will open in front of Lake Baikal.
During one of the stops, try the local Buryat cuisine: meat soups shulen or buchler, buuz (not included in the price).
The ferry to Olkhon Island is carried out by ferry.
Accommodation at the recreation center in the village of Khuzhir.
Free time: take a walk around the village.
You will see the "business card of Lake Baikal", one of the nine Shrines of Asia – Cape Burkhan or Shamanka Rock.
Shamanka was the most revered holy place on Lake Baikal, where sacrifices were made and vows were made since the appearance of the first shamans.
The cape cave was considered the residence of Eugene, the island's owner.
Shamanic rituals took place in the rock closest to the shore in a through cave.
Today it is one of the most revered places on Lake Baikal.
North of Cape Burkhan there is a magnificent sandy beach of the Sarai Bay, which stretches for 3 km between Cape Burkhan and the village. The Harans.

Day 3 - Full day island tour to Cape Hoboy
We have breakfast and go on a full-day tour of the island.
We move to the north of the island to Cape Khoboy by UAZ car.
The loaf, aka UAZ, has already become one of the symbols of the tourist Baikal, and a trip on it is definitely on the list of travelers.
The Sandy tract is a miniature of the famous Sandy Bay.
Constant winds blowing from the sea carry sand from the shore and form sand deposits, which are called "Moving Sands".
At the edge of the forest, you can find stilted trees that have risen above the sand by 30-40 cm on their roots.
Their height is much lower than that of the famous stilt trees in the Sandy Bay.
Sagan-Khushun – "white cape" is an extremely picturesque rocky cape with a length of about 1 km.
Sagan-Khushun rocks are included in the list of natural monuments of Lake Baikal.
This place stands out among the monotonous coast with spectacular pyramid-shaped rocks, known to the local population as the "Three Brothers", the legend of which you will learn during the tour.
And here we have the main goal of our journey: Cape Khoboy.
Khoboy is a sacred place, a place of strength and powerful energy, the northernmost cape on the island of Olkhon.
In appearance, it resembles a sharp canine (just "canine" is translated as "hoboy" in Buryat).
Cape Khoboy is located near the widest point of Lake Baikal (79.5 km), and only in good weather from it you can see the opposite shore, the mountainous contour of the Holy Nose Peninsula.
After a walking tour to Cape Khoboy, we will have a picnic lunch with fish soup from Baikal fish.

Day 4 - Free time on Olkhon

On the island there are bicycle rentals, sap boards, horseback riding, fishing.
