History and architecture of Nizhny Novgorod

You will walk through the territory of the Kremlin with a tour of its towers, walls and museums, as well as stroll through the city center with its iconic sights.

Getting to know folk traditions

You will attend the "Woven Stories" master class, visit the City of Craftsmen and take home unique souvenirs, including handmade ones.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Boarding the train
Independent boarding on the tourist train No. 930/929 (carriage numbers, seats will be indicated on the voucher) according to the original documents (passports, birth certificates for children under 14 years old).
21:05 – departure of tourist train No. 930/929 from Yaroslavsky railway station in Moscow.
Day 2 - Cheboksary sightseeing tour. Visit to the Chuvash National Museum with a master class
Breakfast on the train.
12:15 p.m. – arrival of the tourist train at Cheboksary railway station, meeting with the guide on the platform, boarding the bus (the bus number is indicated on the voucher).
Sightseeing tour "Meet Cheboksary – Shupashkar – Veda Suar". There is a small republic of Chuvashia on the Middle Volga!
During this trip, you will get acquainted with its capital – hospitable Cheboksary! You will certainly notice how the distinctive culture of the Chuvash people is organically integrated into the urban environment.
You will feel how cozy a modern city can be if it relies on centuries-old traditions and the wisdom of its ancestors in its development.
You will learn about the history of the city and what it is rightfully proud of — temples, museums, parks, monuments and other historically significant places; get acquainted with the original culture of the people through its history, myths and legends.
Lunch at Cheboksary restaurant
River trip on a double-decked motor ship along the Volga River. Or, for an additional fee, a "River yacht trip or a Sailing frigate with a master class" (a sports yacht with a capacity of 4 people, pleasure yachts with a capacity of 8 people).
Cheboksary Arbat and Red Square walking tour. Cheboksary Red Square is a place especially loved by citizens and guests.
It combined classical museums and modern street exhibitions, attractions, cafes and restaurants, monuments and art objects, and comfortable recreation areas into a single comfortable space.
Visit to the Chuvash National Museum with a master class. You will visit the Chuvash National Museum, where you will learn about the historical roots of the Chuvash people, which go back to ancient times.
We will get acquainted with the peculiarities of traditional culture, everyday life, and the main occupations of the population: wood carving, embroidery, weaving, and others.
You will also see the most popular museum exhibit and Art object "The Embroidered Map of Russia", created in the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.
You will learn how this unique exhibit was created, and how many embroiderers from all regions of our vast country took part in the All-Russian campaign to demonstrate the originality of national cultures and traditions.
After the tour, you will visit the master class "Woven Stories", which will tell and show guests how the peoples who lived on the territory of Chuvashia wove narrow, durable ribbons from thick woolen threads for belts, loop processing and bracelet making. Everyone will take the manufactured product with them.
Free time and a visit to the City of Craftsmen (souvenir stands).
Dinner at Cheboksary restaurant.
Transfer to the railway station.

Day 3 - Nizhny Novgorod Sightseeing bus and walking tour
Breakfast on the train.
08:20 – arrival of the tourist train in Nizhny Novgorod. Meeting with the guide on the platform, boarding the bus (the bus number is indicated on the voucher).
Sightseeing bus and walking tour of the city with sightseeing of the main attractions: Nizhny Novgorod Fair, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, new Nizhny Novgorod Stadium, Christmas Church, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya St., National Unity Square, Nizhne-Volzhskaya Embankment and much more.
Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin walking tour. Of course, the main attraction of the city is the unique ensemble, built at the beginning of the 16th century in accordance with the highest achievements of military and defensive art.
A walk through the territory, an inspection of the interior – walls, towers, the building of the former governor's palace, an exhibition of military equipment, a memorial complex and an Eternal Flame, an observation deck – a view of Strelka, the Zachatskaya and Borisoglebskaya towers, the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel.
Free time in the city center to visit souvenir shops.
Lunch at a cafe in the city.
Transfer to the railway station.
