Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting. Sightseeing tour of Irkutsk. The Taltsy Museum. Listvyanka
The meeting takes place in 2 stages:
at the airport 8-8:30 (inside the building at the exit to the city with a sign "Wonders of winter Baikal ICE");
at the railway station 9-9:30 (meeting with a sign at the exit to the city inside the railway station building).
Our journey begins with a sightseeing tour of Irkutsk.
Irkutsk is the capital of Eastern Siberia, the "Siberian Paris", as it was called, the city of merchants and Decembrists.
Churches, mansions, old houses.
We will introduce you to the history of our city.
After exploring the Siberian city, the group goes to Listvyanka village.
The village of Listvyanka is located at the source of the Angara River and stretches along the shore of Lake Baikal for 5 kilometers.
The village got its name because of the large number of larch trees growing around.
Listvyanka can rightfully be called the gate of Lake Baikal, for many tourists it is here that the acquaintance with the great lake begins.
On the way, we will visit the ethnographic open-air museum complex "Taltsy".
The museum recreates the cultural and everyday life of the Siberian village of the 17th and 19th centuries.
Here you will see the estates of wealthy peasants, the Spasskaya Tower of the Ilimsky ostrog, the Parish Council, the parish school, the temple of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God of the 17th century.
What is especially interesting is that each courtyard of the museum has its own exposition, you can go into each house and plunge into the atmosphere of those times.
Lunch is waiting for us in the restaurant on the territory of the museum.
Then we continue on our way to Listvyanka.
We will stop at the source of the Angara, the only river that flows out of Lake Baikal, and see the Shaman Stone, covered with myths and legends.
After check-in at the hotel, free time.
Dinner on your own (in the village of Listvyanka there is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants).

Day 2 - The Baikal Museum. Chersky's Stone
Breakfast.
After breakfast, you will have an excursion to the Baikal Museum.
The museum will introduce you to the history of the development of Lake Baikal, its natural features, here you will meet the amazing inhabitants of the lake: omul, grayling, sturgeon, gamarus, gobies, sponge, Baikal seal and many other representatives of Lake Baikal you will see in the aquariums of the museum.
After visiting the depths of Lake Baikal, we will climb higher, you will be able to climb the chairlift to the Chersky stone.
From where the observation deck overlooks the ice-free source of the Angara and Lake Baikal.
Free time after the tour.
You can walk along Listvyanka, visit the fish market and souvenir stands – this is a good opportunity to purchase souvenirs from Siberian craftsmen made of stone, wood, birch bark and glass, as well as taste Baikal cold and hot smoked fish.

Day 3 - Listvyanka – Olkhon Island on Khivus – 180 km on the ice of Lake Baikal!
Early breakfast.
Expedition – transfer to khivus (hovercraft) along the western shore of Lake Baikal: Listvyanka – Bolshoe Goloustnoe - Peschanka (stop, picnic on the ice of Lake Baikal) Olkhon Gate Strait – Small Sea – Olkhon Island – hotel.
A whole-day trek with stops, overcoming hummocks, and a picnic on the ice.
Baikal ice is one of the main winter attractions of the lake.
It seems that there is not even half a meter of water underfoot, although the depth can reach 20 or even 40 meters.
We will see bubbles – Baikal space and ice hummocks.
These stunningly beautiful piles of ice, turquoise, blue, and light blue, they delight, looking at them, you understand what power and strength there is in Lake Baikal.
They are striking in their transparency, visibility through them is the same as through glass.
Accommodation on Olkhon Island in a comfortable room.
Free time.

Day 4 - Car tour to the northernmost cape of Olkhon Island
Breakfast.
Today we are waiting for one of the most interesting, amazing and popular excursions on Lake Baikal – an excursion to Cape Khoboy!
Khoboy is the northernmost tip of Olkhon Island, a sacred place, where power and strength are felt.
You have a unique opportunity to see it from the Baikal side, drive up to its foot.
There will be several stops along the way, during which you will see ice grottoes, splashes, sokui – these are bizarrely shaped ice splashes, several meters high, which appear in late autumn during storms, when angry Baikal waves beat against rocks and water droplets freeze on them with bizarre icicles, as well as Baikal hummocks and blue ice.
If we see the Baikal ice expanses, then why do thousands of people go to Lake Baikal every year!
Lunch is a picnic in the fresh air, during which you will taste fish soup from Baikal fish and a kiss with Baikal!
Return to the hotel.
Walking tour to Cape Burkhan, Shamanka rock.
Shamanka Rock is one of the nine shrines of Asia.
Of course, you have seen Baikal in the photos.
This place is fabulously beautiful, has a powerful energy.
A place of magical power.
It is here that shamans gather to perform all their rituals.
We make the most cherished wish, after free time for walks along the coast and the ice of Lake Baikal.
You can go ice skating (rental is paid separately), take a walk to the neighboring bays, explore the surroundings, coastal rocks and rocks covered with ice.

Day 5 - Car tour to Ogoy Island
Breakfast.
Car tour to Ogoy Island.
Ogoy Island is the largest of the islands of the Strait of the Small Sea.
The stupa erected on the island is officially referred to as the Stupa of Enlightenment, the Conquest of demons, containing a statue of a Female form, the mother of all Buddhas.
Buddhists believe that the more often they go around holy places (stupas, Buddhist hills, sacred mountain peaks) the more likely it is that the desired good wish will be heard by the gods and will come true soon.
The most zealous believers try to circumvent the shrines 108 times, it is believed that this guarantees purification and liberation.
We walk around the stupa at least 3 times.
After that, we will make a stop at the southern tip of Ogoy Island.
Recently, Ogoy Island has become famous thanks to the "Dragon" rock.
This rock is the most recognizable on winter Lake Baikal.
The pointed rock jutting into the ice really looks very impressive, and you can't count how many interesting photos you can take near it.
After the walk, we return to the hotel.

Day 6 - The road to Irkutsk. The Tazheran steppe
Breakfast, check out of the rooms.
Transfer to Irkutsk 290 km.
On the way, you will see a variety of landscapes of the Baikal region: the picturesque spurs of the Baikal range with snow-covered taiga, the Tazheran steppe, barely covered with snow, the mountainous shores of the Maly Sea and the Olkhon Islands.
We will make a stop at an interesting monument that is installed on the observation deck of the Kurkuta Bay.
Here, the Tramp hero of the Russian folk song "Through the Wild Steppes of Transbaikalia" was immortalized in bronze.
Next to the 4-meter sculpture there is a cross and a marble slab on which the lyrics of the song are carved: "A tramp approaches Lake Baikal, takes a fishing boat and starts a sad song, sings something about his Homeland."
And also at the entrance to the village of Yelantsy, in the steppe, we will stop near the bronze figure of a flying eagle, the patron saint of the steppe expanses of Tazheran and Olkhon.
There will be a stop at a cafe on the way (lunch on your own).
Arrival in Irkutsk, check-in at the hotel free time.
