You will get acquainted with the rich cultural traditions of the Baikal land, visit a Buddhist temple and see the great lake in all its splendor.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Olkhon
Arrival in Irkutsk.
Meeting at 09:30 with a guide at the airport or at the railway station in Irkutsk.
Transfer to Olkhon Island by minibus (280 km, travel time about 6 hours).
Arrival in the village of Khuzhir, the tourist center of the island, accommodation.
Walking tour to Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock), the abode of the main deity of Olkhon, a sacred place revered since the appearance of the first shamans.
Supper.
Meals included: lunch, dinner.
Day 2 - Ogoy Island
Breakfast.
Today you have an excursion to the island of Ogoy, which will allow you to enjoy the beauty of the Small Sea.
At Ogoe you will touch the Buddhist shrine – the stupa of Enlightenment.
The stupa is dedicated to Dakini Tromo Nagmo, the Buddhist goddess, which suppresses all negative manifestations around the world.
Return to the base, dinner.
Meals included: breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner.
Day 3 - Free day
Breakfast.
Today we offer you one free day to spend it on your own.
You can rent a bike to explore the island, go horseback riding, kayak or board.

Day 4 - Cape Khoboy
Breakfast.

Early in the morning departure by off-road vehicle (UAZ) to the northern tip of the island, Cape Khoboy.

The road to Khoboy passes through the northern part of the island – the most picturesque places of Olkhon, which remain in the memory of all tourists for a long time.

After lunch, we start crossing Lake Baikal from Olkhon Island to Barguzin Bay. Along the way, we will swim through the deepest and widest place of Lake Baikal.

In the evening, arrival at Ust-Barguzin village. Accommodation in a guest house.

The power is on: breakfast, lunch, picnic, dinner.
Day 5 - Chivyrkuysky Bay
Breakfast.

Today the group goes on an excursion to one of the most famous places of Lake Baikal – Chivyrkuysky Bay, where you can swim in hot springs and take therapeutic baths.

The tour takes you through the picturesque places of the bay, where you can enjoy an excellent view of the islands, gently sloping shores, densely forested.

After lunch, you will visit the hot thermal spring in Zmeinaya Bay, where you can swim.

In the evening, return to the recreation center.

The power is on: breakfast, lunch, picnic, dinner.
Day 6 - Ulan-Ude. Ivolginsky Datsan
Breakfast.

Departure by minibus to Ulan-Ude.

Arrival in Ulan-Ude.

Lunch.

After lunch, an excursion to Ivolginsky Datsan, the main center of Buddhism in Russia.

Supper.

In the evening, boarding the train (compartment) to Irkutsk.

On the way (to Ulan-Ude): 4 hours. On the way (from Ulan-Ude to Irkutsk by train): 9 o'clock.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 7 - Listvyanka village, Taltsy, Baikal Museum, Chersky stone
Arrival in Irkutsk in the morning at 7:30.

Breakfast, early check-in at a hotel in Irkutsk.

After a little rest, we go by minibus to Listvyanka (at about 10 o'clock).

On the way, we will visit the open-air architectural and ethnographic museum – Taltsy, where we will inspect ancient wooden buildings, get acquainted with the life of the indigenous peoples of the Baikal region.

After Taltsov, we go to Listvyanka.

Lunch at one of the cafes in the village.

After lunch, we will visit the Baikal Museum, where you will get acquainted with the underwater world of Lake Baikal.

After visiting the museum, we will climb the Chersky stone, where there is a good observation deck with a wonderful view of Lake Baikal.

Return to the hotel.

Meals included: breakfast and lunch. Dinner is on your own at your own expense.
Day 8 - Departure
Breakfast.

Room release is up to 12 o'clock.

Everything was perfectly organized, and the itinerary was very well planned – from transfers and accommodations to the excursions themselves. I especially enjoyed the trip along the Circum-Baikal Railway, Listvyanka, and the enchanting Olkhon Island. Plus, we were lucky with the weather: we encountered heavy rain only when leaving Irkutsk; the rest of the time was dry and sunny. Our guide Alexander was wonderful and attentive. We learned so many new things and even took a swim in Lake Baikal!
