Day 1 - The road to Olkhon Island
Upon arrival in Irkutsk, you will be met at the airport or railway station, after which the trip to Lake Baikal will begin. On a group transfer, you will go to the heart of Lake Baikal – Olkhon Island.
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of strength and especially powerful energy! Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, a concentration of shamanism in Central Asia. It is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. According to legend, Genghis Khan is buried here.
You will leave Irkutsk approximately at 10 a.m. The path will run through an area with picturesque views. The road will partially pass through the Tazheran steppes, decorated here and there with rocky remnants. Guests often refer to this segment of the journey as "Martian". Landscapes really transport you to some kind of alien reality!
Olkhon is an island, and they get to it in winter by crossing an ice crossing. After crossing, you will find about 40 km more along the steppes of Olkhon, and after that you will reach the center of the island – the village of Khuzhir.
In the evening, you have free time, which you can spend exploring the surroundings of the village. Within walking distance from the hotels on Olkhon is the business card of Lake Baikal — Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock). Shamanka is included in the attractions of the Baikal National Park. Be sure to take a walk to Shamanka Rock, try to feel the energy and power of Lake Baikal!
After enjoying the beautiful views, imbued with the energy of the sacred place, your first day of travel is coming to an end. Tomorrow you will have an even closer acquaintance with Lake Baikal and Olkhon.

Day 2 - Excursion to the north of Olkhon to Cape Khoboy
Today you will immerse yourself even more in the atmosphere of Lake Baikal.
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour. Today you will have a real adventure on the legendary Baikal ice. You will go to the northern part of Olkhon, see the outlines and amazing images of the Olkhon rocks from the ice, the marble walls of Cape Sagan-Khushun. You will spend the longest time at Cape Khoboy – its rocky, steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs, which exactly emphasizes the name (from the language of the local population, the name translates as "fang"). From the ice, the outline of the cape resembles the figure of a woman – an interesting local legend is connected with this, which you will be told about during the tour.
In the middle of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, surrounded by the winter Baikal beauty of nature.
The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory. If desired, you can skate, so be sure to take them with you (if necessary, skates can be rented, you will need to contact your organizer with this question, the tour price is not included).
Back at the hotel, you will have a free evening.
Depending on the ice situation, the excursion to the north of Olkhon on the ice will be replaced by an excursion on land, that is, the movement will be on the ground without going out on the ice. All the locations announced on the tour will be visited. The only difference is in the overview – from the ice, tourists observe the capes from below, walk on the ice, on land – before the eyes of tourists, pictures of the vast Baikal open from above.

Day 3 - Free day on Olkhon
Today you have a free day, which you can spend at your discretion: relaxing or going on an exciting excursion. You can take another walk to the sacred cape Burkhan, along the Sarai beach, and buy souvenirs.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Olkhon Museum of Local Lore – it is located in the center of Khuzhir. This museum has fully preserved the spirit of history, it presents more than 7,000 exhibits, distributed in different directions, many of which are unique and presented only in this museum. A visit to this museum will be an informative pastime option: you will learn the history of the fish factory, supported by objects from those times, see interior items from past centuries, and so on.

Day 4 - The road to Irkutsk
On this day, our amazing journey through Olkhon is coming to an end. Breakfast awaits you in the morning and you will have the opportunity to take a last walk around Olkhon.

In the morning, you will be on your way back to Irkutsk.

In the evening, you will have the opportunity to walk around Irkutsk, visit its iconic places, and buy souvenirs.
If you wish, you can extend your unforgettable trip to Olkhon and add a tour of the south. You will visit one of the most popular places on Lake Baikal – Ogoy Island. Here you can see the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment, see the incredible ice caves of Lake Baikal, the shores decorated with multi-meter splashes. For more information, you will need to contact your tour organizer.
