Day 1 - The road to Olkhon Island, Tazheran steppes
The place and time of the group's gathering: from the Angara Hotel (Sukhbaatar str., 7, Irkutsk) in the period from 09:00 to 09:30 local time and from Irkutsk airport at 10:00.
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of strength and especially powerful energy! Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, a concentration of shamanism in Central Asia. It is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. According to legend, Genghis Khan is buried here.
Olkhon is an island on Lake Baikal, people traditionally get there first by highway, then by ice crossing in the winter season. Before crossing to Olkhon, the path will run along a road with picturesque views – partly you will go through the Tazheran steppes, decorated here and there with rocky remnants.
Arriving on the island, you will settle in its center – the village of Khuzhir. In the evening, you have free time, which you can spend exploring the surroundings of the village. Within walking distance from the hotels on Olkhon is the business card of Lake Baikal — Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock). Shamanka is included in the attractions of the Baikal National Park. Be sure to take a walk to the Shamanka — you will feel the energy ringing in the air, take a lot of bright photos.
After enjoying the beautiful views, imbued with the energy of the sacred place, your first day of travel in Olkhon is coming to an end. Tomorrow you will have an even closer acquaintance with Lake Baikal and Olkhon.

Day 2 - Excursion to the north of Olkhon to Cape Khoboy
Today you will immerse yourself even more in the atmosphere of Lake Baikal.
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour.
Today you will have a real adventure on the legendary Baikal ice. You will drive to the northern part of Olkhon, see from the ice the outlines and amazing images of the Olkhon coastal cliffs, the marble walls of Cape Sagan-Khushun.
You will spend the longest time at Cape Khoboy – its rocky, steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs, which perfectly emphasizes the name (the name translates from the language of the local population as "fang").
From the ice, the outline of the cape resembles the figure of a woman – an interesting local legend is connected with this, which you will be told about during the tour.
In the middle of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, surrounded by the winter Baikal beauty of nature.
The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory. If you wish, you can go ice skating, so be sure to take them with you.
If necessary, skates can be rented (on request, skate rental is not included in the price of the tour).
Back at the hotel, you will have a free evening.
Depending on the ice conditions, an excursion to the north of Olkhon on the ice will be replaced by an excursion on land, that is, the movement will be on land without going out on the ice. All locations announced on the tour will be visited. The only difference is in the overview – tourists watch the capes from below from the ice, walk on the ice, on land – before the eyes of tourists, pictures of the vast Baikal open from above.

Day 3 - Transfer to Listvyanka
On this day, we say goodbye to Olkhon and go to Listvyanka.

Day 4 - Taltsy Museum, Shaman Stone, Chersky Stone
After breakfast, you will set off towards Listvyanka along the picturesque Baikal Highway.
Listvyanka is a village located along the edge of Lake Baikal at the source of the Angara River, a kind of Mecca of tourism among all visitors to Lake Baikal, the starting point of many sightseeing routes along the lake. This is the closest place to the city where you can see the Pearl of Siberia.
On the way to Listvyanka, you will visit an amazing and interesting place – the Taltsy open-air architectural and ethnographic Museum, where historical, architectural and ethnographic monuments of the XVII-XX centuries are concentrated.
At the source of the Angara River, the only one flowing out of Lake Baikal, the guide will tell you a fascinating and beautiful legend about Lake Baikal and Angara, here you will see the legendary Shaman Stone.
Next, you will climb the cable car, which will take you to the top of the Chersky Stone.
Climbing to the observation deck, which is located at an altitude of 725 meters, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the lake, the source of the Angara, Shaman Stone, Listvyanka and even the Baikal Observatory.
After the tour, you will check into a hotel in Listvyanka, and you will have time to walk along the embankment, there is a fish market within walking distance — we recommend going there, there is a wide variety of not only fish, but also local herbs, teas, berries, and souvenirs.
Tomorrow you will go to the hidden pearl on Lake Baikal, a place of incredible beauty!

Day 5 - Baikal ice, Baklaniy Kamen Island, Sandy Bay, departure
After breakfast at the Listvyanka Hotel, you will depart on a Hivus hovercraft to Peschanaya Bay.
Hivus will gently glide across the mirror-smooth ice of Lake Baikal. Along the way, you will enjoy picturesque views: on the left side, the path is framed by the majestic mountains of the Primorsky Range, and on the right – the endless ice surface of Lake Baikal.
On the way to Peschanaya Bay, you will stop at the village of Bolshoe Goloustnoye – this is the place where you can find the largest concentration of methane bubbles in the ice of Lake Baikal! The sight is unforgettable and impressive – a lot of wonderful photos are guaranteed to you!
After taking memorable photos, you will continue the tour and stop at the Cormorant Stone, the southern border of the vicinity of Sandy Bay, 3 km away. In winter, the island is a granite monument, resembling a tower on the east side.
The Sandy Bay is just around the corner from the Cormorant Stone. You will walk between the bays, each of which has its own charm, and you will see the legendary stilted trees – bizarre-looking pines and larches, from the bases of which the wind blew out the soil and sand, exposing the roots. It seems that the trees went out for a walk towards Lake Baikal. Sandy Bay is sheltered by the capes of Bolshaya and Malaya Kolokolnya, which stand out picturesquely against the background of the surrounding nature.
In the middle of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, the end of the walk and the way back by hivus to Listvyanka.
These eventful 5 days have introduced you to winter Lake Baikal, local entertainment, and historical heritage. Olkhon Island is reached by ice crossing in the winter season and by ferry in the summer. In the off-season on a hivus (hovercraft). If the ice crossing does not work for climatic reasons, then the tourist pays for the crossing on khivus himself.
In winter, especially after March 20th, the tour operator does not guarantee that the ice will remain transparent, as it depends on weather conditions, as well as that the rocks and splashes will be safe.
The composition and size of the group may change during the tour.
Guides may change throughout the tour. Each location is assigned a guide who is an expert on that location. There is always one tour coordinator.
