Day 1 - The road to Olkhon Island, Tazheran steppes
The place and time of the group's gathering: from the Angara Hotel (Sukhbaatar str., 7, Irkutsk) in the period from 09:00 to 09:30 local time and from Irkutsk airport at 10:00.
Olkhon is a truly unforgettable and one of the most famous places on Lake Baikal, which is rightfully called a place of strength and especially powerful energy! Olkhon is considered a sacred territory, a concentration of shamanism in Central Asia. It is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. According to legend, Genghis Khan is buried here.
Olkhon is an island on Lake Baikal, people traditionally get there first by highway, then by ice crossing in the winter season. Before crossing to Olkhon, the path will run along a road with picturesque views – partly you will go through the Tazheran steppes, decorated here and there with rocky remnants.
Arriving on the island, you will settle in its center – the village of Khuzhir. In the evening, you have free time, which you can spend exploring the surroundings of the village. Within walking distance from the hotels on Olkhon is the business card of Lake Baikal — Cape Burkhan (Shamanka rock). Shamanka is included in the attractions of the Baikal National Park. Be sure to take a walk to the Shamanka — you will feel the energy ringing in the air, take a lot of bright photos.
After enjoying the beautiful views, imbued with the energy of the sacred place, your first day of travel in Olkhon is coming to an end. Tomorrow you will have an even closer acquaintance with Lake Baikal and Olkhon.

Day 2 - Excursion to the north of Olkhon to Cape Khoboy
Today you will immerse yourself even more in the atmosphere of Lake Baikal.
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour.
Today you will have a real adventure on the legendary Baikal ice. You will go to the northern part of Olkhon, see the outlines and amazing images of the Olkhon coastal rocks, the marble walls of Cape Sagan-Khushun from the ice.
You will spend the longest time at Cape Khoboy – its rocky, steep shores in these places resemble animal fangs, which exactly emphasizes the name (from the language of the local population, the name translates as "fang").
From the ice, the outline of the cape resembles the figure of a woman – an interesting local legend is connected with this, which you will be told about during the tour.
In the middle of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, surrounded by the winter Baikal beauty of nature.
The tour takes place with stops in the most beautiful places where you can take wonderful photos for memory. If desired, you can go ice skating, so be sure to take them with you.
If necessary, skates can be rented (upon request, skate rental is not included in the tour price).
Back at the hotel, you will have a free evening.
Depending on the ice situation, the excursion to the north of Olkhon on the ice will be replaced by an excursion on land, that is, the movement will be on the ground without going out on the ice. All the locations announced on the tour will be visited. The only difference is in the overview – from the ice, tourists observe the capes from below, walk on the ice, on land – before the eyes of tourists, pictures of the vast Baikal open from above.

Day 3 - Transfer to Listvyanka
On this day, we say goodbye to Olkhon and go to Irkutsk.

Day 4 - Taltsy Museum, Shaman Stone, Limnological Museum of Lake Baikal
After breakfast, you will head towards Listvyanka along the picturesque Baikal highway.
Listvyanka is a village located along the edge of Lake Baikal at the source of the Angara River, a kind of Mecca of tourism among all visitors to Lake Baikal, the starting point of many sightseeing routes along the lake. This is the closest place to the city where you can see the Pearl of Siberia.
On the way to Listvyanka, you will visit an amazing and interesting place – the open-air architectural and ethnographic museum "Taltsy", where monuments of history, architecture and ethnography of the XVII-XX centuries are concentrated.
At the source of the Angara River, the only one flowing from Lake Baikal, the guide will tell you a fascinating and beautiful legend about Lake Baikal and Angara, here you will see the legendary Shaman Stone.
After that, you will visit the limnological Museum of Lake Baikal, which not only conducts expositional and educational activities, but also continues to engage in serious scientific research, and therefore you will not learn such information about Lake Baikal "first-hand" anywhere.
After a walk along the pier and the famous fish market on Lake Baikal, you will check in at Listvyanka and rest before tomorrow. Tomorrow you will go to the hidden pearl on Lake Baikal, a place of incredible beauty and scale — Sandy Bay.

Day 5 - Baikal ice, Baklaniy Kamen Island, Sandy Bay, departure
After breakfast at the Listvyanka Hotel, you will go on a hovercraft "Khivus" to the Sandy Bay.
Khivus will gently slide over the mirror-smooth ice of Lake Baikal. Along the way, you will enjoy picturesque views: on the left side the path is framed by the majestic mountains of the Primorsky Ridge, and on the right – the endless ice surface of Lake Baikal.
On the way to Peschanaya Bay, you will stop at the village of Bolshoe Goloustnoe – this is the place where you can find the largest accumulation of methane bubbles in the ice of Lake Baikal! The sight is unforgettable and impressive – a lot of beautiful photos are guaranteed to you!
After taking memorable pictures, you will continue the tour and stop at the Cormorant Stone – the southern border of the vicinity of Sandy Bay, 3 km from it. In winter, the island is a granite monument, resembling a tower on the east side.
The Cormorant Stone is just a stone's throw from the Sandy Bay. You will walk between the bays, each of which has its own charm, you will see the legendary stilt trees – bizarre-looking pines and larches, from the bases of which the wind blew out the soil and sand, exposing the roots. It seems that the trees went out for a walk towards Lake Baikal. Sandy Bay is sheltered by the capes of the Large and Small Bell Towers, which stand out picturesquely against the background of the surrounding nature.
In the middle of the day you will have a picnic lunch in the fresh air, the end of the walk and the way back to Listvyanka by Hivus.
These eventful 5 days have introduced you to winter Lake Baikal, local entertainment, and historical heritage.
