A five-day trip through the expanses of the autumn Caucasus. We will cook homemade cheese, taste Ossetian pies, and see medieval structures in the mountains — this is how we will feel Ossetia and Ingushetia.

In the Tseysky gorge, from the height of the cable car, we will see an ice grotto, from where the Skazdon River is rapidly bursting out, and we will also enjoy the views of the mountains.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Alan evening
Group transfer from 12:00 to 13:00, Beslan Vladikavkaz airport.
14:00 Lunch.
Check-in at the Planet Lux Hotel in Vladikavkaz.
Alan evening — immerse yourself in the culture of Ossetia with national dances, traditional music and treats. You will taste Ossetian dishes and feel the real atmosphere of hospitality.
If the Alan Evening event is canceled, a dinner will be organized for tourists.
Day 2 - "The City of the Dead." Karmadon and Fiagdon gorges. Master class
08:00-09:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Departure for an excursion to the most significant and memorable places of Ossetia:
Dargavs necropolis or the "City of the Dead", one of the still unsolved discoveries of which is the mummies found in coffin boats made from whole pieces of the trunk (admission is for an additional fee of 150 rubles);
The place of Sergey Bodrov's death is the Karmadon gorge, where the village of Verkhny Karmadon was completely destroyed as a result of the collapse of the glacier.;
Fiagdon gorge, where guests like to take beautiful photos on a swing over a precipice, as well as to contemplate the surroundings with snow caps, sitting on a bench right on the edge of the gorge;
A place shrouded in myths and legends is the ancient tower of Kurt and Tag.
A master class on cooking Ossetian pies.
15:00 Lunch.
16:00 Walking tour of Vladikavkaz.
Return to the hotel.

Day 3 - Alagir and Tsey gorges, ruins of the village of Nar

09:00 Departure for the tour Alagir gorge — Tsey:
Nykhas Uastyrdzhi is the patron saint of men, travelers and warriors. The monument is considered one of the largest equestrian monuments in the world.;
the cave and sanctuary of Sau Barag (The Black Horseman). The place and the very image of the Black Horseman are shrouded in many legends and beliefs;
The Tsey Gorge is a state nature reserve, and the figure of the patron saint of Afsati at the entrance symbolizes the protection of all living things.;
Monk Mountain is the motionless and stern guardian of Cei. According to legend, the monk decided to capture the turk and present his horns as a gift to St. George, but he did not keep his word and was turned to stone.
Lunch.
We will take a chairlift to the Skazd glacier (for an additional fee, about 300 rubles/person), ⁣we will see an ice grotto, from where the Skazdon River is rapidly bursting out.
The mountainous village of Nar is the birthplace of Kosta Khetagurov, the founder of the literary Ossetian language. The Zaramaga HPP is a unique high—altitude hydroelectric power station.
On the way to Vladikavkaz, we will stop at the piercing obelisk of the Gazdanov Brothers, Dzuarikau village, to pay tribute to the memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War.
Bathing in the thermal springs of Therma Gans for an additional fee - 500 rubles.
Return to the hotel.

Day 4 - The towers of medieval Ingushetia. Armkhi Resort
08:00-09:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Guided tour of mountainous Ingushetia:
Jeyraho-Assinsky Nature Reserve;
The Erzi Tower complex is where the famous bronze eagle dating back to the 8th century was discovered.
Lunch.
Recreation on the territory of the modern mountain resort "Armkhi". Free time to recuperate and choose an adventure to your liking:
Take a dip in the outdoor pool with panoramic mountain views;
to climb the cable car for the best pictures of the gorge — 400 rubles.;
take a horse ride;
ride with the wind on quad bikes — from 1,500 rubles.;
trampoline — 250 rubles.;
relax with a cup of coffee in a cozy cafe.
Please note: all activities at the resort are charged extra.
16:00 Return to the hotel.

Day 5 - Magas. The Ethnographic Museum. Departure
08:00-09:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 Departure for an excursion to Magas, the capital of Ingushetia. Visit to the Memorial of Memory and Glory complex.
Visit to the ethnographic museum in the Tower of Consent, the tallest tower in Ingushetia with an observation deck.
13:00 Lunch.
14:00 Departure to Vladikavkaz airport.
Group transfer to Vladikavkaz airport (recommended flight after 16:00).

The tour was excellently organized — the guides and drivers were true professionals and genuinely friendly :) The small group size was a big plus, making everything more comfortable and personal. The company itself was great to deal with and had a fun, positive vibe :D We really liked all the hotels we stayed in — all of them were high quality and well-chosen. I would absolutely recommend this tour!
