Dombai's Romance

The duration is 6-7 hours with a height difference of 500-600 meters.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet with a guide who will give instructions before starting the hike. 

Exit to the route. 

The Amanauz is one of the main rivers flowing through the territory of Dombayskaya Polyana. 

Above the village, the riverbed narrows sharply and takes the form of a deep canyon. 

Here, the water cut its way through the high granite rocks and formed a whirlpool, which is known as the Devil's Mill.

After you enjoy the beauty of this natural phenomenon, continue on your way to the waterfalls.

As you move along the route, waterfalls open, falling from different heights and flowing down the rocks. 

Sufruji waterfalls, falling from the glacier, are among the highest in Dombai, the height of the water drop here is 250 meters. 

The main pearl of the Amanauz Canyon is the Sufrudzhinsky Waterfall, which is the highest of the three. 

The water that bursts out of the glacial grotto creates incredible noise and is accompanied by colorful rainbows. 

The guide will tell you how to take spectacular photos. 

A rest stop and a snack (dry ration) will be held surrounded by waterfalls. 

After a rest and a photo shoot, you will set off on your way back. 

Return to the hotel, rest. 

Dinner at the resort cafe (additional charge).

Breakfast at the hotel, after which the group will meet with the guide in the lobby of the hotel to receive instructions. 

Transfer by UAZ to Alibek gorge, where the group will go hiking to Alibek waterfall.  

This auto-drop allows you to shorten the walking part of the route and add thrills to the journey.

Tourists can walk to the small but picturesque Alibek waterfall, where they can walk along the edge of the Alibek glacier and reach the shore of Turi Lake* (2200 meters above sea level).

Visiting the route to Turi Lake depends on the physical capabilities of the group, and may also be temporarily closed by the decision of the national park.

At this time, when peace reigns around and there are no people, tours come to the lake, which is why the lake is called Turi. 

Lunch (dry ration) with a view of Alibek waterfall, rest among the Dombai mountain peaks.

On the way back, the group will stop at the cemetery of climbers, where the brave conquerors of the Dombai peaks found peace.

After an active day, tourists will return to the hotel, where they will have the opportunity to have dinner at the resort cafe for an additional fee.

You will have to climb Mount Moussa Achitara by cable car (additional ticket fee - from 2,000 rubles), to an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level. 

From there you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dombai peaks, glaciers, rivers and waterfalls, and in favorable weather you can see the two-headed giant Elbrus. 

On the mountainside you will see the landmark of Dombay — the hotel "Plate", which has the shape of a real intergalactic ship. 

The guide will tell you the story of her landing on the mountain.

Meals on this day are served independently in the national cafes of the resort.   

In your free time at the resort, we recommend visiting the sauna complex, swimming pool or wellness treatments (massage, phyto bottle, etc.).

Transfer to the start of the route. 

The route begins with crossing the Teberda River on a beautiful suspension bridge, after which you will climb the kurumnik placer. 

Kurumnik is a pile of stones and boulders that require special care and attention, especially during rains.

In place of the vast moraine left by the retreating glacier, there are three successive lakes — from small to large — in the middle reaches of the river. 

The route to the Baduk Lakes starts from the side of the Teberda River, and the first lake that tourists see is the Small Baduk Lake. 

Just 260 meters away is the Second medium—sized Baduk Lake, and another 120 meters to the west is the Third Lake, also called Bolshoy Baduksky. 

Here you can spend time on the beach, relax and take memorable photos. 

Lunch is a dry ration.

In the Big Baduk Lake, the water warms up better than in other lakes, reaching up to + 10 degrees. 

On the shores, you can notice less rocky areas with small beaches, which, if desired, allow you to refresh yourself in the cool water of the lake. 

The landscapes opening on the shores of the Baduk lakes are surrounded by green mountain slopes, reminiscent of the views of the famous Lake Ritsa in Abkhazia. 

In spring and summer, the lake surface turns a bright emerald color, and in autumn the water turns yellow and red shades, and the surrounding mountain peaks are covered with snow.

After a rest in a great mood, you will go back using the transfer to the Dombay resort.

Coniferous forests, subalpine meadows, the purest mountain air and the scent of flowers are waiting for you on this walk. 

Drop on the route in a UAZ SUV, on the way to the route you will pass a Russian glade, where you will have a magnificent view of the snowy peaks and glaciers that rush into the sky. 

The way to the waterfall lies through the Dombai-Ulgen gorge, through a huge alpine meadow located between two mountain ranges.

First of all, you will visit the lower observation deck of the Chuchhur waterfalls, whose height reaches 12 meters. 

After a short rest, the group will go to the Ptysh glacier, which is conveniently located in the mountain circus and is the source of the Northern Ptysh River. 

The snow-white glacier presents an amazing contrast with the emerald background.  

Overlooking the Ptysh Waterfalls, the group will take a break for lunch (dry rations) to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature of the gorge.  

After the rest, return to the return trip.  

Dinner on your own in the evening.

Free time at the resort.

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and go to the airport or the Mineralnye Vody railway station on a group transfer. 

At parting, the guide will show you one of the pearls of Dombay — the Tumanly-Kel mountain lake. 

The lake is located in the most beautiful gorge of Karachay-Cherkessia — Gonachkhir. 

Lake Tumanly-Kel is considered the warmest in the vicinity, because by the middle of summer the water here warms up to +20C.  

The surroundings of the lake are so beautiful that you will get a lot of emotions by sitting on the shore, admiring the water and the mountains reflected in it. 

By the way, it was on this lake that the filming of the new film "The Bremen Town Musicians" took place. 

If desired, you can take water treatments (according to the season).

At about 12:00, we will finish the program with a final lunch, where in a warm company you will share your emotions about your adventure in the mountain Dombay. 

By 16:00 we will arrive at the airport (railway station) Mineralnye Vody, departure flights after 19:00.

Tourists are escorted to the airport and to the Mineralnye Vody railway station for flights departing from 19:00 local time. For tourists arriving/leaving at other times, individual transfers can be arranged for an additional fee of 6,000 rubles or more.
