Sightseeing tour of the city.
During the tour, you will visit the memorial complex of Glory named after A. A. Kadyrov in Grozny, dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the first President of the Chechen Republic Akhmat Kadyrov; Journalists' Square, Peoples' Friendship Square, Putin Avenue, M. Esambaev Boulevard, where you will get acquainted with the history and architecture of the manor house, which is the heritage of the capital of Chechnya.
Continuation of the tour with a visit to the Heart of Chechnya mosque.
The mosque is a unique structure: the exterior and interior walls of the mosque are decorated with the rarest rock — travertine, and the interior of the mosque is richly decorated with white marble, which is mined on the island of Marmara in the Sea of Marmara.
Several fountains have been installed in the surrounding area, recreation areas and alleys have been laid out.
You will also see the Cossack Church of Archangel Michael, founded in 1868, take a walk through the flower park, and complete the program with a visit to the Grozny City high-rise complex with an ascent to the panoramic platform on the 33rd floor, overlooking the city and the surrounding area (visiting during opening hours).

Day 2 - Excursion to the high-altitude lake Kezenoi-Am, Argun and Shali

Lake Kezenoi-Am in size and depth can be put on a par with the lake. The Ritsa in Abkhazia or the Blue Lake in Kabardino-Balkaria.
The water in the lake is cold, in summer the surface temperature does not rise above 17-18 degrees Celsius.
Stop in the village of Vedeno, where you will see the walls of the fortress, which is more than 200 years old.
At the local market you can buy tortillas, pita bread, seasonal fruits, homemade cheese, honey.

The ascent by transport (about 24 km) to the Harami pass (2400 m above sea level).
After stopping at the pass, where the beauty you see will make your head spin, you will begin the descent to the lake (about 11 km) by transport.
Stop in the village Haracha, remarkable for its location and history.
Departure to Argun.
The mosque named after Aimani Kadyrova in Argun — "Mother's Heart", designed for 15,000 people, was inaugurated in June 2014.
Departure to Shali.
The Muslim Pride Mosque in the city of Shali is one of the largest mosques in Europe.
Return to Grozny.
Free time in the city.

Day 3 - Transfer to Makhachkala and excursion to the Sulak Canyon

Departure to Makhachkala, on the way — a tour of the Sulak canyon, whose height is 1920 meters.

Day 4 - Mountainous Dagestan
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today, the program includes a visit to the Khunzakh plateau, the widest plateau in mountainous Dagestan.
The main attraction of the plateau is the Tsolotl Canyon with steep edges, into which three mountain rivers fall from a height.
During the rainy season, the waters of these rivers descend into the canyon from a height of 50-80 meters in powerful jets and turn into a seething stream, above which white clouds of fine spray rise.
The largest of the waterfalls is the three—stage Tobot: its height reaches 100 m.
You will also visit the military fortress in Arani, a powerful fortification from the time of tsarism in the Caucasus.
At one time, the Russian Emperor Alexander II stayed in this mansion for the night.
The program of the day also includes a visit to the Matlas Gorge, cut by undulating ridges.
On its territory there is an observation deck with a small mosque, which offers a magnificent view.

Day 5 - Getting to know Derbent. Departure

Visit the main attraction — the citadel of Naryn-Kala, an ancient fortress that preserves the former power of the Caspian Gate.

It's important to know

Comfortable clothes for hiking and seasonal recreation, including warm clothes in case of cool weather.

It is not recommended to appear on the streets in too open clothes. As for visiting the mosque, it is better for men to wear trousers or trousers, shirts (T—shirts) with long sleeves, women - a dress below the knees, headscarves (at the entrance to the mosque, you can wear special dresses that are in common use).

Language and rules of conduct

Dagestan is the most multinational republic in Russia. The local population communicates mainly in Russian, and local speech can be heard in conversations among themselves. The official languages of the Republic of Dagestan are Russian and the languages of the peoples of Dagestan. Only 14 languages of Dagestan have a written language, and the rest are non-written

The majority of the population professes Islam, as a result, here, as in other republics of the North Caucasus, they do not accept defiant behavior, disrespect for elders, very open and vulgar clothes, excessive attention to others (especially to women), and the manifestation of love feelings in public is condemned.

Obscene language and vulgar clothing are considered disrespectful behavior. During the Azan – the call to prayer, it is better to be silent, you can not walk across in front of the worshipper. It is worth photographing people, especially women, only by asking for permission.

The tour participant must respect the cultural and historical values, traditions and customs of the indigenous and local population of the region. The main thing is to respect local customs and laws, behave with dignity and kindness.

What to wear in Dagestan?

Women are not recommended to wear miniskirts, tight jeans, see-through clothes, deep cleavage, short T-shirts, tight sweatshirts. The length of the skirt should not be higher than the shin, preferably ankle-length. If you still decide to wear trousers or jeans, then you need to wear a long tunic or a shirt below the knee on top. Also, women should have a handkerchief with them, since in some establishments they may not be allowed without it.

Tips for men: do not wear shorts. It's best if you wear regular trousers or ankle-length jeans. It is also not recommended to wear sleeveless T-shirts.

Visit to the Mosque

Before entering the mosque, you must take off your shoes, you can put them in a bag and take them with you or leave them on the shelves specially provided for this purpose. To visit the mosque, you should dress appropriately. Some mosques have two entrances — one for men, the other for women. It is not surprising that men and women pray separately in the mosque. Depending on the internal architectural structure of the mosque, women are provided with a balcony for prayer or a certain place in the back of the mosque, separated from the rest of the space by a screen.

Muslims who perform ablution five times a day are very sensitive to various foreign odors!

Rules of conduct in the mosque

A believer is always expected to behave calmly and respectfully. Loud conversation and everything that can disturb the peace of believers who have specially gathered for prayer are considered a manifestation of bad upbringing.

Following these simple rules will help you avoid trouble.

Smoking and alcohol

Men can smoke. But when older people appear, it is better to tactfully hide a cigarette behind your back.

There are also restrictions on alcoholic beverages – you can buy them, but not everywhere. Drinking alcohol in crowded places is unacceptable.
