Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting. Sightseeing tour of Vladikavkaz
Arrival in Vladikavkaz.
17:30 Meeting at the airport.
Transfer to the hotel.
Check-in at the hotel.
Sightseeing walking tour of Vladikavkaz (may be postponed to the last day of the tour).
Vladikavkaz is located at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains.
Due to its convenient location, natural resources, picturesque surroundings and inexhaustible healing springs, Vladikavkaz has long attracted travelers.
One of the main attractions of the city is Mira Avenue, the central street of the city, where more than 50 architectural and historical monuments are located.
During the tour you will see the Kosta Khetagurov Park, the embankment of the Terek River, Freedom Square, Table Mountain, monument to Alexander Pushkin, monument fountain "Nart Soslan", monument to Mikhail Bulgakov with a Hippopotamus cat.

Day 2 - The rocky Dzivgis fortress. Alan Monastery, Dargavs
Breakfast at the hotel.
Guided tour of the Kurtatinsky (Fiagdonsky) gorge.
The gorge is about 50 kilometers long.
Stop in the photo at Kadargavan Canyon.
Kadargavan in translation from the Ossetian language means the place of the timber pass.
Visit to the Dzivgis rock fortress.
The rocky Dzivgis fortress is a medieval defensive structure in North Ossetia.
She defended the passage to the Kurtatinsky gorge.
Visit to the Holy Dormition Alan Monastery.
The temple was established on April 19, 2000 in Beslan, but later moved to the Kurtatinsky gorge, where the 19th-century temple in the name of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women was restored.
The main shrine of the monastery is the list of the icon of the Theotokos of Mozdok.
Today, the Alansky monastery is considered the highest mountain monastery in Russia.

Visit to the City of the Dead (Dargava necropolis).
Initially, crypts were created solely as a burial place for the dead.
However, in the XVIII century, the Dargavsa district was overtaken by plague epidemics, then they began to be used as quarantine.
The last burials date back to the end of the XVIII century.
The Dargavs necropolis has cultural and historical value and is under the protection of UNESCO.
Visit to Karmadon gorge.
It became known in 2002, after the tragic descent of the Kolka Glacier.
As a result, more than 100 people died, including the film crew of the film "Svyaznoy" led by Sergey Bodrov Jr.
Today, the main attractions of these places are the Karmadon Gate, the Grieving Mother memorial near the village of Verkhniye Kani and the memorial complex near the village of Gizel.
Return to Vladikavkaz.

Day 3 - The Tsey Gorge
Breakfast at the hotel.
Photo stop at the Uastyrdzhi monument.
Uastyrdzhi is the patron saint of travelers, men and warriors.
Visit to the Tsey gorge.
The Tsey Gorge is a longitudinal valley surrounded by mountain ranges: Tseysky and Kalperovsky.
It is here that you can see the pristine nature of the North Caucasus: alpine meadows, mountain peaks immersed in clouds, majestic glaciers, ancient forests, stormy rivers and waterfalls.

Photo stop at the Afsati monument.
Afsati is the patron saint of hunters.
The monument features the figure of a venerable elder, who sits on an impressive pedestal and leans on a thick staff.
According to the legends of the Nart epic, Afsati has been living for centuries on the local Olympus — Mount Adai-Hokh, whose name means Hell's Mountain.
Photo stop at the Rog art object.
Once upon a time, the Horn served Ossetians as a household and ritual function: they drank from the horns in everyday life and during ritual feasts.
Visit to the thermal springs "Biragzang".
The spring gushes from a depth of 2000 meters and is indicated for a large number of diseases.
The water temperature does not drop below 40 degrees (additional charge).
Return to Vladikavkaz.

Day 4 - Ingushetia. Dzheyrakh gorge, Vnushki, Egikal
Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion to Ingushetia.
Visit to the Dzheyrakh gorge, which is the pearl of Ingushetia.
There are many historical monuments here, including Ingush battle towers dating back to the second century BC.
Photo stop at the observation deck of the Tsei Loam pass a (2100 m).
It offers stunning views of the Assinsky Valley.
Visit to the Egikal tower town.
Today it is an open-air museum, and once Egikal was the cultural, political and economic center of mountainous Ingushetia.
The city was located on the southern slope of the Tsei Loam Mountain in the Assinsky gorge.
Visit to the ancient temple of Thaba-Yerdy in the Assinsky gorge.
Visit to the Vnushki Tower Complex.
Vnushki is a majestic tower complex, which is a recognized masterpiece of medieval tower architecture, and the subject of special pride of the Ingush.
The unique tower complex stands in the Ozdi-Chozhd gorge (Guloikhi gorge), right on the sharp crests of the rocks.
Vnushki are a symbol of the beauty and grandeur of Ingush tower architecture.
Return to Vladikavkaz.

Day 5 - Ossetia. "Heart of Chechnya", National Museum of the Chechen Republic, "Mother's Heart"
Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion to Chechnya.
Transfer to Grozny.
City tour.
Sparkling skyscrapers, business centers, modern residential areas, fragrant parks and religious buildings - all this is Grozny.
During the city tour you will see: Akhmat Kadyrov Square, Grozny City, Mahmud Esambayev Avenue, Akhmat Kadyrov Memorial Complex of Glory.
Visit to the Akhmat Kadyrov Heart of Chechnya Mosque.
8 are modeled after the Rovzatu Nebevi Mosque in Medina, 27 imitate the Kubbatu al-Sakhra mosque in Jerusalem, and the largest eight-meter chandelier repeats the shapes of the Kaaba shrine in Mecca.

Transfer to the village of Shali.
Inspection of the mosque "Pride of Muslims".
The mosque was opened in 2019 on the birthday of the first president of the Chechen Republic, Akhmat —Hadji Kadyrov.
It is dedicated to the Prophet Muhammad.
The mosque in Shali is the second in the world after the mosque in Abu Dhabi.
There is a park area with 12 fountains around the mosque.
Transfer to Argun village.
Visit to the "Mother's Heart" mosque (named after Aimani Kadyrova).
Transfer to the village of Ortsin Mokhk.
Visit to the Stairway to Heaven observation deck, which offers an incredible panoramic view of Grozny.

I'm so glad I chose the 'Across the Expanses of Perm the Great' tour in July 2024. It was a high-quality, engaging, and thoughtfully designed journey through the entire Perm region. The trip was full of fascinating discoveries: ancient monasteries, unique museums, the distinctive Permian animal style and wooden deities, the history of salt production and the Stroganovs in the Urals, and much more. The natural beauty of Parma was breathtaking: dense forests, countless rivers, mountains, and even an ice cave. The hotels were comfortable, and the breakfasts and lunches were tasty, often featuring elements of local cuisine. Traveling in a small group made the experience even more enjoyable, after all, it's usually seasoned travelers who venture to the Perm region. One special moment was when we all got to bake and taste traditional gingerbread made from an old recipe, for many of us, it was a first. Huge thanks to our amazing guide, Andrey, and to Venaris, our incredibly skilled driver!

A wonderful tour with a rich and engaging itinerary. Our guide, Svetlana, was very responsible and did an excellent job, explaining everything in detail. I was pleased with both the hotels and the food. Adding extra lunches was a great decision; it made everything more convenient, and I especially enjoyed the Pomor-style lunch at the Pomor restaurant. The transportation was also comfortable and reliable.
