Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival. Argun gorge, a tour of Grozny
Arrival in Grozny.
Meeting of the group at the airport.
The recommended arrival time is from 11:00 to 13:00.
Lunch at a restaurant in the city — let's try the national Vainakh cuisine.
We are going to the Argun gorge, which is located in the very heart of Chechnya.
On the way to him, we will stop at the Chanta-Argun freshwater spring and hear a folk legend about the loyalty of a friend.
We will visit the Nihaloy waterfalls.
Nature has created a beautiful cascade of waterfalls here!
The tallest of them is 32 meters, and there are 12 of them in total.
And in the gorge itself we will see the ancient Ushkaloy twin towers, located right under the steep slope.
Grozny city tour: observation deck of the Grozny City high-rise complex, Flower Park, Orthodox Church of St. Michael the Archangel.
Visit to the famous "Heart of Chechnya" mosque.
The "Heart of Chechnya" is part of an entire neighborhood called the "Islamic Complex" in Grozny.
The "English Castle" in Grozny is a new tourist highlight and a unique photo location. The former building of the Grozny Oil Research Institute, built in the 1920s.
The building is designed in Gothic and Moorish style and differs from other buildings in Grozny by its architecture. It is called "English" because of the similarity of the style and the construction customer, the British oil company Shell.
There is an impressive collection of retro cars in the courtyard of the castle.
After a busy day, we head to the hotel.

Day 2 - Treasury-Am, Shawls
Breakfast at the hotel.
Our way lies to Lake Kezenoy Am, the pearl of the Caucasus, an amazing alpine lake with crystal clear water.
You will climb the mountain serpentine and appreciate the grandeur of the landscapes of Chechnya, walk along the shore of Lake Kezenoy-Am with clear turquoise water.
You will hear the legends associated with it, enjoy its magical turquoise color.
On the way there is the village of Kharachoy, in the center of the village there is a monument to the legendary Chechen Robin Hood — abrek Zelimkhan Kharachoevsky.
Next to the monument to Abrek Zelimkhan there is a spring — Maiden's Spit, which is associated with a very beautiful legend about love.
We will continue our route with a tour of the ancient village of Khoi, located near Lake Kezenoy-Am. Hoi, which translates as guards, is known for its famous 14th-16th century battle tower, richly decorated with petroglyphs.
Although the tower was destroyed in the past, it has now been completely restored.
Transfer to the city of Shali.
Lunch at a cafe.
Visit to the amazing mosque "Pride of Muslims" named after the Prophet Muhammad.
This is the largest mosque in Europe, accommodating up to 30 thousand people — a magical, fabulous pearl of the Caucasus, a real palace.
Transfer to Argun.
The "Mother's Heart" mosque attracts the eye with its ultramodern and even somewhat futuristic appearance.
The Aymani Kadyrova Mosque is no less beautiful and amazing inside than outside.
A unique illumination of the engraving of Allah's names on the dome and a grandiose chandelier in the shape of a crescent moon.
Return to the hotel.

Day 3 - Sulak Canyon. Visit to the complex "Nyoho Cave and suspension bridge"
Breakfast at the hotel.
Room release.
Departure to Dagestan.
Today you will meet with the foothills of Dagestan, the power of its rivers and the breath of its peaks!
Lunch at the Glavryba trout farm, try local grilled trout and the famous shah pilaf.
After lunch, we go to admire one of the main treasures of Dagestan — the Sulak Canyon.
A visit to the Noho Cave and Suspension Bridge complex will give you an unforgettable experience!
The complex consists of three caves, observation decks and labyrinths, the total length of which is several hundred meters.
The passages in the tunnels were widened and connected by a suspension bridge located at an altitude of 60 meters above the Sulak River.
The main extreme entertainment of the complex is the zip-line, a 250—meter high-speed descent through the gorge on a steel rope and bungee.
Well, the view of the Sulak Canyon from the observation deck in the village of power engineers "Dubki" has become the hallmark of Dagestan.
You will be able to make sure that the Sulak Canyon is not only an open book of the geology of the Caucasus, but also one of the most beautiful and deepest canyons in the world.
The emerald waters of the Chirkeysky reservoir will reveal to you the fascinating beauty of its gorges and canyons during a boat trip.
On the way to the reservoir, we will see the Chirkeyskaya HPP, the most powerful in the North Caucasus.

Day 4 - Matlas stone bowl, Khunzakh
Breakfast at the hotel.
Early departure from the hotel for the program.
Today we are going to mountainous Dagestan.
Through the Gimrinsky tunnel, the longest road tunnel in the Russian Federation, you will find yourself in a magical world of mountains and rivers.
On the way, we will make stops at the Gimrinskaya Tower and on the shore of the emerald Irganai reservoir.
The amazingly picturesque Matlas plateau awaits us with a unique view of the gorges and the mountain range.
We will see the Matlas waterfall.
A small mosque has been built on the plateau and a memorial to Leo Tolstoy and the hero of his work, Hadji Murad, has been erected.
The final touch of the day is the natural wonder of Dagestan — the Matlas stone bowl.
The stone bowl is a mountain gorge where the sun practically does not fall.
Walking along the very bottom of the gorge, you seem to be transported to another planet or another era.
After a walk, you can drink tea made from mountain herbs and a samovar with urbech or honey.
Let's have lunch with the family, get acquainted with the national dishes. Let's try the most delicious apricot porridge with urbech and a variety of "miracle" pies made of thin dough.
We will visit the Memorial House Museum of Gamzat Tsadasi, where the outstanding poet Rasul Gamzatov and academician Haji Gamzatov were born.
Then we go to one of the most interesting places in Dagestan – the village of Khunzakh, the ancient capital of Tatarstan, the birthplace of warriors and poets.
The village is located in the heart of mountainous Dagestan on the picturesque Khunzakh plateau at an altitude of almost 2000 meters above sea level!
We will see one of the highest waterfalls not only in mountainous Dagestan, but also in the entire territory of the North Caucasus — the Tobot waterfall, as well as its brother– the Itlyatlyar waterfall.
You will learn the secrets of the local very tasty and healthy delicacy — urbecha by visiting the mill for the production of urbecha.
Return to the hotel.

Day 5 - Tour of Derbent. Departure
Breakfast at the hotel.

We are going to one of the ancient "living" cities not only in Russia, but also in the world – Derbent.
Derbent is a city with a rich history and an unusual destiny, built of light shell stone and seems to glow and energize the centuries.
But first, we are waiting for a photo shoot against the background of the legendary Caspian monster, the Harrier.
It is the world's largest ekranoplane missile carrier.
Next, a tour of Derbent: we will visit the ancient fortress of Naryn-Kala and stroll through the narrow and very colorful streets of Shakhristan (Magalam), we will see the oldest Juma mosque in the territory of the Russian Federation.
During the tour we will see the Khan's and Maiden's baths, the Derbent lighthouse, the quarter mosques of Minar, Kilis, Bala.
We will take a walk through the Nizami Ganjavi Park and along the street of Happy People, visit the Kubachi souvenir shop.
We will have lunch with a hospitable family, where we will learn how to dance the famous Lezginka in a master class.
Departure to Makhachkala airport.

Everything was well organized, and our guide Tatiana was excellent. The hotels were great as well. The only downside was the Scania bus, I found it uncomfortable and not suitable for such long journeys. (And I’m an average-sized person: 165 cm tall and 60 kg.)
