Wine and gastronomic tour to the North Caucasus

In the morning we have breakfast at our hotel and set ourselves up for a very eventful, colorful and warm day!

We will definitely visit Karmadon, one of the narrowest and most beautiful gorges in Ossetia.

Next, we will go to the famous Dargava necropolis, where we will learn more about the life of ancient Ossetians. 

We will ride on the "swing over the abyss" and admire the panoramic view of the Karmadon gorge.

Then we will visit the alpine monastery in the picturesque valley of the Sun — Alansky, which from a distance resembles the medieval castles of Europe. 

We will walk along the "ladder of absolution" and admire the picturesque mountain views.

They will be waiting for us at the restaurant, which is located in a picturesque place with a wonderful view of the mountain peaks of Fiagdon.

We will be served a light and silky lentil cream soup and an Ossetian Ualibakh pie with homemade cheese.

Then a beef kebab with rustic potatoes will be cooked for us on the grill.

After lunch, we will visit the famous towers of the brothers Kurt and Tag — the ancestral home of the local rulers, standing on a cliff overlooking three gorges at once. 

And we will see the unique Kadargavan Canyon.

In the evening, we return to the city and go for dinner to a restaurant of modern Caucasian cuisine.

Today our main dish will be trout from the spring waters of the North Caucasus with grilled vegetables.

Also for a snack, we will try a variety of meze: beef tongue in tsakhton, eggplant caviar, hummus, buttermilk with pepper leaves, phali and nasdzhyn — Ossetian pie with pumpkin and tsakht cheese.

The dinner will be accompanied by Georgian Tsinandali wine, and we will also try a traditional Ossetian alcoholic drink — araku.

The taste and smell of arak is similar to Scotch whiskey, and some varieties of the latter are generally difficult to distinguish from refined double-distilled arak.

In the evening we return to our hotel, relax and look forward to tomorrow's trip!

Today we have breakfast at the hotel and go to the family winery of Konstantin Dzitoev!

The winery produces 65,000 bottles of still wine and 3,000 bottles of sparkling wine per year. 

Two artists work at the winery, they decorate each bottle by hand.

We will visit the workshop, wine cellars and taste 7 samples of quiet and sparkling wines accompanied by snacks!

After the winery, we go to Ingushetia, to the ancient complex of Egikal battle towers.

The Egikal are ancient battle towers that have survived to the present day, and people lived in the settlement until the middle of the 20th century.

After the walk, we will stop for lunch at a mountain cafe with Ingush cuisine. 

We will stay in a gazebo with stunning mountain views and try Ingush chapilg (flatbread with cottage cheese), shorpa (soup) and kebabs.

After a mountain lunch, we drive on, the Chechen Republic is waiting for us.

The journey will take a little more than two hours, and we will have time to relax and admire the beautiful views.

We are coming to one of the most beautiful cities in the Caucasus — Grozny! 

We check into the hotel. 

Next to the hotel is the famous mosque "Heart of Chechnya", which is very similar to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul!

After checking into the hotel, after a short rest after the road, we will walk around the city center with a local guide. 

We will see the main mosque, the Memorial Complex of Glory and the building of the national museum.

Of course, we will go up to the observation deck of one of the skyscrapers of Grozny City to see the city from a bird's eye view.

Then we will be expected for dinner at one of the best restaurants in Grozny! 

The main dish of the evening and the entire Chechen Republic is zizhig galnash: coarsely chopped boiled meat with dumplings made of wheat or corn flour, served with garlic sauce.

For dessert, we will be served hingalsh — the famous sweet pancakes with butter and pumpkin.

We have dinner and return to our hotel.

Today we are enjoying breakfast at our hotel and going to get acquainted with the main sights of the Chechen Republic!

We will see grandiose mosques, visit an ancient settlement and visit the real pearl of the Caucasus — the incredible lake Kezenoy Am.

Our path will pass through a picturesque mountain serpentine. 

We will certainly make several stops so that you can enjoy the mountain scenery and take beautiful photos.

First, we will visit the ancient highland village of Khoy and take a walk through the ethnographic museum, which is a reconstruction of the village and will help us get better acquainted with the way of life of those who lived in the mountainous regions of Chechnya.

After the walk, we will have lunch at the colorful restaurant of Vainakh cuisine on the lake shore. 

There is also a museum here, which contains collections of household items of the peoples of the Chechen Republic.

We will be served dishes of traditional Vainakh cuisine!

After lunch, we will visit the city of Shali, where the largest mosque in Europe, the Pride of Muslims, is located. 

After the Shawl, we will visit the city of Argun, the fourth most populous city in the republic.

We will see the Mother's Heart Mosque, made in an ultra-modern high-tech style.

After a busy day, we return to the city, relax a little at the hotel and gather for dinner.

Our final dinner will be held in the panoramic restaurant located on the 32nd floor!

For an appetizer, we will be served meat delicacies and assorted cheeses from the mountain Chechen cheese factory.

We will try local goat cheese, cheese with tomatoes, fenugreek cheese, camembert and montasio.

The main dish of the evening is juicy and fragrant Chechen veal mantas with sweet pepper sauce.

And for dessert — Anna Pavlova's signature interpretation of dessert with fresh berries.

After dinner, we return to the hotel and relax.

Today is the final day of our amazing journey.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to the main market of Grozny — Berkat.

This is a real oriental bazaar in the very center of the city.

Pickles, galnash and siskal, dried meat and horse sausage, traditional Chechen halva deman khovla, mountain cheeses and much more are sold here.

Then we will escort you to Grozny airport.
