Three peaks of the Southern Urals. Hiking for the February holidays

A rich and comfortable route to explore the Southern Urals. In three days we will climb three beautiful and different peaks of the Chelyabinsk region. We will see and visit: the mountain and Lake Zyuratkul in the national park of the same name, the highest point of the Chelyabinsk region – Mount Nurgush 1,406 m, the Zyuratkul ice fountain and the Urenga ridge.

We will walk through the snowy fairy-tale forest and admire the beautiful views of the Ural mountains. The mountains are quite accessible, and there are often well-trodden trails on the routes. A wonderful route for lovers of travel, hiking, photo and video shooting and just lovers of nature. All exits are light with a small backpack. Overnight stays in warm cozy houses.

Ice Fountain
Let's take funny photos at a large icicle of blue ice, which grows on the site of an artesian water fountain
Moose Farm
If desired, we will visit the moose farm on the cordon
Tea parties on the peaks of the Urals
We will admire the beautiful views of the Ural mountains, warming ourselves with hot tea

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival. Ascent to the top of the Zyuratkul ridge

    6:00 Meeting at Yekaterinburg airport. 

    Departure along the Chelyabinsk highway to the village of Zyuratkul (350 km).

    Stop at a cafe on the way. 

    Upon arrival – ascent to the top of the Zyuratkul ridge (1066 m). 

    We walk along the trail 6 km in one direction. 

    The path goes through a snow-covered forest.

    The mountain offers a beautiful view of Lake Zyuratkul and the surrounding peaks. 

    The rocks and trees are covered with frost and shimmer in the sun. 

    A snack with hot tea on top. 

    Return to the village. 

    Transfer to a place to stay overnight in a warm house. 

    Supper.
