Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Meeting and walking in Makhachkala, Sarykum barkhan

At 14 o'clock we gather in Makhachkala in a guest house, distribute ourselves into rooms for 2-4 people, get acquainted with the guide and the rest of the participants in our adventure.

In the afternoon, we will all go together to explore the streets of Makhachkala, admire the views of museums and mosques, breathe the air of the Caspian Sea on the city beach.

On the way, we'll stop for lunch at one of the local cafes.

In the evening we will go to the Sarykum dune, the main sandbox of Dagestan. The way up is not difficult, it takes about 20 minutes on a ladder, not on sand. On the way, you can see nimble lizards, and, if you're lucky, even hares.

At the top of the dune, we take photos, watch the sunset, admire the 360-degree views.

Did you know that "White Sun of the Desert" was filmed here? Tired of the sun and unusual views, we return to the city to have dinner and get a good night's sleep after such an eventful day.
