Day 1 - Monday: Yantarny and Baltiysk

Excursion to Baltiysk: discover Pillau, a famous port city with ancient maritime traditions.
You will walk along the coastline, learn the history of this place, see an ancient lighthouse and modern warships of the Baltic Fleet.
Free time in Baltiysk.
Yantarny tour: immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a resort town with the best sandy beaches in Russia. While enjoying the beautiful seascapes, you will learn all about amber, its extraction and significance for the region.
Free time in Yantarny.

Day 2 - Tuesday: Zelenogradsk and the Curonian Spit

An excursion to Zelenogradsk.
Take a walk through the first resort of East Prussia, learn the history of its development from a fishing village to a royal resort. Enjoy the beautiful promenade along the sea and walk through the magical streets as if from old postcards.

Curonian Spit tour. Take a walk through the ecotropics, breathe in the aromas of the coniferous forest.
Climb the high sand dunes and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, bay and protected forests.

Day 3 - Wednesday: locks of the Mazur Canal and Railway

09:00 Departure to the village of Druzhba.
Guided tour of the Masurian Canal caretaker's house.
You will learn the centuries-old history of the construction of the waterway, because the first man-made canal projects appeared in the Middle Ages.
Visiting the locks: Allenburg I, Allenburg II, Georgenfelde V — even now these abandoned engineering structures surprise and delight.
Free time at the Georgenfelde gateway.
Transfer to Zheleznodorozhny.
Guided tour of Zheleznodorozhny.
In this small town you can feel the spirit of the Middle Ages. After the restoration, it became so atmospheric here, as if you were walking in movie decorations.

Day 4 - Thursday: Kaliningrad

Day 5 - Friday: Svetlogorsk and Shaaken Castle

Excursion to Svetlogorsk.
You will see ancient villas and winding streets of fabulous Rauschen, an elite resort in East Prussia. Once there were only huge dunes and inaccessible cliffs in this place, now elegant mansions are lost in a dense forest where there is no wind and complete silence.
Free time in Svetlogorsk.
Departure to Shaaken Castle.
Excursion to Schaaken Castle, a real fortress of the Teutonic Order.
You will see the museum of the Middle Ages, hear the stories of the castle from the 13th century to the present day, and descend into the torture cellars.
A visit to the Schaaken Dorf castle cheese factory is a great opportunity to purchase delicious souvenirs from the Kaliningrad region.

Tapiau Castle tour: you will rush through 700 years of history, getting acquainted with the majestic building where Duke Albrecht of Prussia, the Great Embassy of Peter I, King Henry IV of England and Nicolaus Copernicus stayed, and admire the unique architectural features of the fortress, which has no analogues in the world.

The Baltic Adventures tour, which I was lucky enough to take part in from July 17 to 20, 2024, left me with truly magical impressions. From the very first day in Kaliningrad, I was delighted - a clean and cozy hostel with everything needed for a comfortable stay, delicious food at a café, and, of course, friendly staff. It's also worth highlighting the program itself and the incredible team of guides. Every detail is carefully planned, making all four days active, fun, informative, and engaging. A big plus: all necessary equipment is provided, including a backpack and water bottle! There's no need to worry about what comes next because the amazing team, Natalia, Vladislav, and Daria, has thought of everything for you. The host team gave us a warm welcome! Our guide, Daria, did a fantastic job showing us around and sharing interesting stories. The tour was well-organized—comfortable accommodation, breakfasts, delicious dinners, a minibus with a dedicated driver, and great excursions! If you travel on your own, you’d miss out on so much. Our group was lucky—there were 7 of us, and we traveled from July 1 to July 4, 2024.
