Opening of Kamchatka in 10 days

Relax and sleep off at the hotel or take an additional tour: 

• an ethnic excursion "On a visit to the aborigines of Kamchatka".

Transfer to the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Boat trip (6 hours) along Avacha Bay with access to the Pacific Ocean to the island. The oldies.

During the tour, you can see seals, sea otters, whales, killer whales, as well as amazing rocks and islands with their restless bird markets.

A hot lunch on board the ship.

After the tour, transfer to the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky hotel.

Optional: on this day, you can order a longer one (10 hours) a boat trip to Russian Bay, where it is more likely, in the summer, you can see killer whales, whales and guaranteed to watch sea lions (this is the northern sea lion). 

The surcharge for this tour will be 9,000 rubles per person. 

If you want to replace the tour with a longer one, you need to inform us in advance.

After breakfast at the hotel, we get into an all-terrain vehicle and move to the foot of the Avacha and Koryak volcanoes.

Initially, 20 km along a good road, then our way to the pass passes along a volcanic "Dry river" (17 km).

We make stops for photos along the way.

We arrive at the mountain base, a short break, acquaintance with the curious Kamchatka gophers — evrazhki (they need to store some seeds or nuts for treats).

Then, enjoying the Alpine flowers, walk 3 km towards the pass.

Then a simple climb up Camel Mountain, and amazing photo opportunities open up in front of us.

With good visibility from a Camel, 7 volcanoes can be observed.

After enjoying the indescribable Kamchatka landscapes, we begin the descent towards our shelter, where the most unforgettable lunch awaits us in the warm dining room.

After lunch, we return to the hotel. We have dinner in a cafe or restaurant in the city (not included in the price).

On this day we are going to the wild Malkin hot springs (130 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky).

Here, hot water, heated deep in the bowels of the Earth, freely pours out onto the surface forming fonts of different temperatures.

The uniqueness of this place is that they are located on the left bank of the cold Klyuchevka river and lovers of bath procedures, after heating in hot water, can dive into the cold river.

On the way (90 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky) we will make a stop in the village of Sokoch and get to the "Pie paradise".

Here, king-sized pies with a variety of fillings win the stomachs and hearts of travelers from all over the world (pies are paid for independently).

But still, the main goal of today is rafting on one of the most beautiful and fish—rich rivers.

After driving another 20 km after bathing in the springs, we will arrive at a stationary tent camp on the banks of the Bystraya River. 

Here we will have lunch with red fish soup.

After lunch, the briefing, those who want to fish pick up spinning rods (buy licenses on their own), and then 5-7 people are accommodated in large 5-6-meter inflatable raft boats.

In the tour program on the date of arrival on 23.09, rafting along the Bystraya River is not performed and is replaced by an excursion with swimming in the Malkin thermal springs, with an exotic lunch after swimming, due to adverse weather (off-season).

During rafting, very often we see bears walking along the shore and looking out for their main prey — salmon.

The rafting takes place along a calm section of the river and therefore it is not necessary to wear hockey helmets, we will limit ourselves only to life jackets.

The main essence of our rafting is relaxation and unity with the unique Kamchatka nature, although those who took up spinning will certainly think about something else.

Depending on the season, you can catch sockeye salmon, pink salmon, chum salmon, coho salmon, char, grayling, and fish.

We will stay on the river for about 3 hours.

At the end of the rafting, a car will be waiting for us, on which we will return to our hotel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Transfer by cross-country car to the Mutnovsky volcano, to the Country hot springs (100 km).

After about 2 hours on the road, stop at the Vilyuchinsky pass (900 m above sea level).

It offers magnificent views of the surrounding volcanoes and mountain valleys.

After the pass, our path runs along a high-altitude plateau next to the Gorely volcano with its fantastic unearthly beauties.

At the beginning of the season, we overcome the extreme segment in front of the volcano on snowmobiles with comfortable passenger sleds (sleds).

Around the second half of July, the snow melts irrevocably and we smoothly transfer to specially prepared SUVs.

Along the way, the panoramas of the Vilyuchinsky volcano, Gorely volcano, Rocky and Dvugorba hills are indescribable in words.

Rhododendrons and other Alpine flowers are already in full bloom in the clearing cleared of snow.

Once in the side crater, we enter the realm of steam, water, snow and noise.

Here we observe numerous boiling, noisy, soaring, bubbling, bubbling springs, small mud cauldrons and volcanoes.

Recently, the name "Mini Valley of Geysers" has been glued to this place.

The Mutnovskaya geothermal power plant is located next to the springs.

On its territory there is a small swimming pool with thermal water, built by the employees of the station.

Very often, but not guaranteed, those who wish can swim in it.

Then we return to the car or snowmobile and have lunch surrounded by volcanoes.

We return to the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky hotel.

Transfer to Gorely volcano (90 km).

Then a simple ascent (2.5–3 hours) along the trail on foot, and suddenly, with the words "Wow!" suddenly one of the craters of the volcano with a picturesque lake inside opens in front of us.

After enjoying the views, we move to the edge of the next crater.

Until 2010, there was also a lake of fantastic turquoise color, but after the start of the gas eruption, it disappeared.

Recently, this crater has started to fill up with water again and, perhaps, in a few years a lake will appear here again.

Then, those who wish will be able to climb to the top of the volcano 1829 meters above sea level.

There are wonderful views of the neighboring volcanoes: Vilyuchinsky, Mutnovsky, Asacha, Opala, Tolmacheva Lake, the caldera around the volcano, and with very good visibility we can observe the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Sea of Okhotsk on the other.

After walking a little around the volcano, we begin the descent to the car (about 2 hours).

After the descent, we make lunch at the foot of the volcano.

After lunch, we return to the city.

After breakfast at the hotel, we leave for the area of the Vachkajec mountain range.

73 km on asphalt, 12 km on a dirt road, then 3 km through the forest on foot and we reach the mountain lake Tahkoloch, which is comfortably located in a small valley between two ridges.

After admiring the beautiful views, we continue along the stream with cascades of waterfalls from the purest spring water.

We continue to move upwards — and now we are in a mountain circus, surrounded by beautiful outlier rocks.

After taking a little walk around the mountain circus, we go to watch another masterpiece.

We go down, greeting the gophers evrazhek, who are already familiar to us, along the way.

We cross the river over the stones and approach the waterfall.

After watching how the water crashes down from a stone cliff, dividing into separate jets and many crystal drops when falling, feeling cool and washing with splashes of the purest water, we return to the car.

We have lunch with lunch boxes.

We return to the hotel.

We have breakfast at the hotel and go by cross-country car to the Pacific Ocean.

Along the way, exploring the shores of the Avacha Bay and the bays of Malaya Lagernaya, Solovarka, Bolshaya Okeanskaya that are part of it.

A small hike up the Mayachnaya hill.

Here, from a bird's-eye view, you can enjoy an amazing panorama of the Pacific Ocean, Avacha Bay, Vilyuchinsky volcano and the Three Brothers rocks, which are an official natural monument and a kind of symbol of Avacha Bay and the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Continuing the tour, we drive up to the rocky shore of Cape Mayachny, where the Petropavlovsk Lighthouse, the oldest on the Pacific coast, is located.

Tourists call this place "The Edge of the World".

Having felt the breath of the ocean, we descend to the opposite side of Cape Mayachny, into the Lifeboat Bay.

Here, in front of our eyes, the majestic rocks of the Three Brothers grow out of the water. According to legend, these brothers protected their village on the shore from a large ocean wave (tsunami). 

After a short walk along the shore of the bay, you catch yourself thinking that this is the final excursion in our tour. How quickly time flew by, where all these days we were driving jeeps somewhere, climbing mountains, going out into the open ocean and admiring what we saw every time. 

A plan is already maturing on how we will tell our relatives, friends, and colleagues about this trip. 

But that's all later, and now we are hurried by the guide and we are looking for a secluded, windless place with a beautiful view of the Three Brothers for lunch.

After lunch, we return to the hotel.
