Visiting Kutha. Combined tour to Kamchatka

What do we have in the East? In the East we have the Pacific Ocean! It was from here that the foundation of the city began, when the packet boats "Peter" and "Pavel" entered the Avacha Bay. Today is dedicated to the ocean and the history of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. 

6:00 Early check-out. In the early days, early climbs are the easiest to experience, due to the difference in time zones. 

Transfer to the sea pier. Boat trip on a class motor yacht Princess along Avacha Bay with access to the Pacific Ocean to Russian Bay.

It is known that Avacha Bay is the largest in the world. It's impossible not to fall in love with her at first sight!

After leaving, guests will be offered breakfast on board the yacht.

Along the way, we will visit the rocks "Three Brothers" — the hallmark of the city, the bays of Tikhaya, Grotovaya, the island of the Old Men — watch the seabirds.

During the trip, we will see numerous bird markets: cormorants, hatchets, puffins, stables, ducks, various seagulls, and other birds circling in the air from dawn to dusk, alternately diving for prey into fish-rich waters. 

Fishing is provided in Vilyuchinskaya Bay — lenok, perch, flounder, (sometimes cod, white-throated halibut and terpug are caught).

At this time, the cook will cook fresh fish soup from red fish for lunch, prepare seafood for tasting — crab, sashimi from flounder. 

Then we will go along the coast to Russian Bay. Let's get as close as possible to Cape Perilous, Cape Kekurny, to watch sea otters and sea lions in the rookery near the Laperouse stones. 

It is possible to meet killer whales and humpback whales. Every year they enter our waters and often accompany pleasure boats.

The cook will fry the caught fish on the way back and offer it for dinner. 

Return to the port.

17:00 Sightseeing tour "Getting to know Kamchatka". 

Walking tour of the historical city center with a guide: Fleet Alley, Nikolskaya Sopka, central square, embankment. 

Transfer to the hotel.

Today we will go South, to visit the home volcanoes. Domestic volcanoes in Kamchatka are called giants surrounding the city, which can be viewed from almost anywhere in it.

Breakfast.

An off-road trip through the Vilyuchinsky pass, the plateau of the Gorely volcano, to the area of the Mutnovsky volcano. The purpose of our trip today will be the Summer springs — an active geo-thermal plateau.

A walk with small ascents and descents to the Country springs (about 1.5 km in one direction). 

Red-hot steam roars straight out of the ground, enveloping the yellow-red stones and green slopes of the valley. Everything is hissing, whistling, bubbling. There are also bubbling gray puddles with viscous boiling water, fountains of hot springs, tunnels. 

There are more than 100 thermal manifestations at Country springs — boiling boilers, hot springs, large and small steam-gas jets. Country springs are sometimes called the Small Valley of Geysers, but this name is erroneous, because there are no real geysers here — not boiling water, but hot gas, which heats the water on the surface, simulating a geyser, comes out of the ground.

Lunch — lunch box, hot tea. 

On the way back, we will stop near another picturesque location — a 16-meter waterfall on the Calm Stream.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

A trip to the Country springs is the most physically active excursion of the entire program.

Comfortable shoes with thick fluted soles are needed.

Snowfields may persist during the summer. It can be slippery after the rain.

Trekking poles, if necessary, will be provided by the guide.

Today we have a free day, it can be used for helicopter flights

Optional excursions (for an additional fee):

• helicopter tour to the "Valley of Geysers" and the caldera of the Uzon volcano with a flyby of the active crater of the Karymsky and Maly Semyachik volcanoes. Hiking to geysers and mud pots. On the way back, landing in the Nalychevskaya valley — lunch, swimming in hot springs. 
• helicopter tour to Kuril Lake (performed from mid-July). Brown bear watching and salmon spawning. On the way back, we will land in the caldera of the Ksudach volcano and at the Khodutkin hot springs (lunch, swimming). 
• an alternative excursion in non-flying weather: rafting on the river with fishing. Malkin hot springs. Guests are provided with 16-foot rafts. The rafts are operated by guides. The length of the rafting is from 9 to 12 km (3-3.5 hours). Accommodation on rafts for 5-6 people. During the rafting, guests can fish and admire the picturesque scenery. Visiting Malkin wild thermal springs, bathing in natural baths. 

It is necessary to apply for the tour in advance.

On this tour, guests are provided with guaranteed places for helicopter excursions, according to the schedule, subject to flight weather on all sections of the route.

In case of non-flying weather, the tour is canceled with a full refund. There is no transfer to another day within the framework of the tour program.

Let's start with a little off-road activity to visit interesting photo locations on the northeastern edge of the city.

Breakfast.

An off-road trip through the city of Petropavlovsk—Kamchatsky, along the picturesque bays of the Avacha Bay - Malaya, Srednaya and Bolshaya Lagernye. The purpose of the trip is a viewing point on the high shore almost at the entrance to Avacha Bay, from where you can see the guards of the harbor — the rocks "Three Brothers" and a panorama of the ocean and the bay itself.

A visit to the viewport at Cape Mayachny, on which stands the oldest lighthouse in the city — Petropavlovsk. 

Lunch — lunch box, tea.

After lunch, we will visit Russia's only volcano museum, the Vulcanarium. 

Here you can get all the answers to your questions about volcanoes, listen to a fascinating lecture about the volcanic activity of the Earth and its study, touch real frozen lava from different parts of Kamchatka, "smoke" fumarole, magnetize black sand from Kamchatka beach, as well as drink coffee and relax in a cozy cafe.

And at the end of the day, we will have a real gastronomic adventure with immersion in the ethnic culture of the Kamchatka indigenous peoples — a food tour in the Eyvet "Myths about Yukol".

Eyvet is the ancestral community of the Pritchin family, in which the traditional way of life of the Koryak people is closely intertwined with modern life.

The family contains 80 sled dogs and their world is an extreme marathon sled dog race "Beringia", "Avacha", the purpose of which is to preserve the unique performance characteristics of Kamchatka sled dogs.

Here, traditions are not a word from a history textbook, but a part of everyday life. 

The owners of the community will share their experience, history and taste of cooking delicious dishes of the Koryak ethnic group. 

With a preface to the main course, guests are served: yukola, without which you cannot survive the winter — the only way in the absence of salt and refrigerators to save tons of fish until the next season; snacks from wild plants (wild cherry, horsetail, young shoots of ivanchai); snacks from sea cabbage; aramaki — how a recipe for the most delicate fish appeared in Koryak cuisine 100 years ago; seal lard — why no traveler went on the road without a decent piece of seal fat; nettle bread; vegetable snacks; berry juice, honeysuckle tincture. 

The story and tasting are accompanied by the aromas of cooking the main dish of fish on an open fire, which is served on the table on a birch board immediately from the hearth. 

We will enjoy berry cookies and herbal tea at the national museum, where they will tell us about everyday life, what a canopy is and why it is not cold in it when it is -50 outside the wall.

Then we will visit the spawning ground of the chum salmon, on the shore of which the community lives, find out where the salmon in the rivers comes from, and why not all fish can be eaten. 

At the end of the program, we will get acquainted with the main business of Avet's life — modern sled dogs. Do they know how to think? Why use archaic wooden sleds and harnesses in sledding?

Today we will get acquainted with the places to the West of the city.

Breakfast. Check out of the rooms (we leave things in the luggage room — they will be transported by a transfer guide). 

And we are going on an off-road trip to the Vachkajec mountain range. 

In ancient times, Vachkajec was a single volcano, but as a result of a strong eruption it exploded, which led to the division into three main distinct parts. The highest point is 1,556 m above sea level.

The walk starts from the parking lot, we will walk half a kilometer along the forest road to the glacial lake Takhkoloch. Then the trail rises smoothly up the valley, surrounded by high rocky slopes of an ancient volcano, to a mountain waterfall.

Along the way, we will admire the rich flowering of Kamchatka plants, including red books. And on the way back, we will see a picturesque view of pristine nature, where only huge dinosaurs are missing for a complete picture.

The impression of the trip is enhanced by the extreme passage of the car through off-road, mud, through a windfall, often using a winch.

Lunch — lunch box, hot tea. 

On the way back, we have planned a visit to the thermal baths "Zelenovskiye Ozerki".

The recreation center has one large swimming pool and 10 special baths, equipped changing rooms, and there is a cool lake nearby, which is pleasant to plunge into after a hot bath.  

The waters of the springs are a mixture of radon and hydrogen sulfide. They have a beneficial effect on the body, improve metabolism and strengthen the immune system.

Bathing is optional (about 1 hour). 

Return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Accommodation in a 3* city hotel. Rest, free evening in the city. 

We recommend visiting one of the restaurants in the city. If necessary, the curator of the group will recommend restaurants that offer authentic Kamchatka dishes and seafood (it is better to book a table in advance).

On the final day, we will head to the foot of two more domestic volcanoes, now north of the city.

But first we will visit the shores of the Pacific Ocean on Halaktyrsky beach, which stretches for several kilometers.

A walk along the "black beach" and berry patch, watching the surf.

The sand on Kamchatka beaches is of volcanic origin, so it has a dark gray color. On the berry patch along the coastline in August-September, you can pick shiksha, blueberries, knyazhenika.

Hot tea, snack.

Transfer to the foot of the Koryak and Avacha volcanoes (50 km, 3 hours). 

Although the distance is small, the road is not easy. It runs along the bed of a dry river — frozen mud flows that descend in spring during snowmelt.

Lunch at the base camp.

The fire—breathing guardian of the city is Avacha volcano, one of the most active in Kamchatka. The life of the volcano does not stop for a day: constantly puffing fumaroles, yellow sulfur, clouds of gas and steam.

The absolute height of the modern cone is 2751 m, the relative height is 400-1000 m. The peak is crowned by a crater. During the last eruption in 1991, the crater crater was almost completely filled with lava. 

A walk to the mountain extrusion "Camel" with a small climb. Botanical tour of the alpine vegetation of the Avacha pass.

Flowering here begins immediately after the snow melts and continues until new snows. There are rare species of plants listed in the Red Book. 

Near the base camp, you can see and take pictures of Kamchatka gophers — evrazhek.
