You will have an exciting trip to the Polar Explorer's House to visit the famous traveler Viktor Simonov. Sometimes adults need a fairy tale even more than children. 

Here, at the training base and the headquarters of the Arctic expeditions, where a full cycle of preparation for Arctic trips to the North Pole, through the Bering Strait, etc. is carried out.

You will learn not only interesting facts about the Arctic, but also get acquainted with the 3 breeds of northern sled dogs.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - A day with huskies

    The tour starts in Matrosy village, you need to get to the starting point of the tour yourself (ask the tour manager for the start time, depending on the arrival date, in the morning or afternoon.

    Acquaintance with sled dogs of 3 breeds, including the pet of the English Prince Harry and dogs-film actors, Arctic explorers — participants of Arctic expeditions. 

    85 pets will give you their unconditional love and boundless kindness. 

    Enjoy a dog sled ride through the picturesque Karelian forest. 

    Those who wish (over the age of 18) will be able to feel like a kayak by driving a dog sled on their own (the kart is operated only by an instructor).

    Take a walk to the Tree of Desires and the Bolshaya Tolly Threshold, a picturesque ice—free threshold on the Shuya River.

    In the Polar explorer's House, by the fireplace with a live fire, you will write an Arctic letter, which will be delivered and sent to you by a famous polar explorer on a real Arctic expedition. Isn't it a miracle?!

    Enjoy a fragrant lunch in the traditions of Karelia with lohikato, a rustic plate (pickles and smoked meats), a gate in the best traditions of the north, a drink made from northern berries, herbal teas and Karelian tinctures of various strengths (for tourists over 18 years old).
