Itinerary

Day 1 - Getting to know Petrozavodsk. Grandfather Hull's Secret Workshop
Arrival in Petrozavodsk by morning trains (until 10:00), gathering of the group at the main entrance to the railway station, a landmark guide with a sign.
08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast in the restaurant.
09:00 – 11:00 Acquaintance with the capital of Karelia – sightseeing tour "Charm of winter Petrozavodsk".
You will find an interesting immersion in the history of the city from the reign of Peter the Great to the present day.
You will learn how Petrozavodsk was founded and even see the places at the mouth of the Lososinka River, where Petrovskaya Sloboda originated.
With his fascinating story, the guide will take you back to the time of the Petrovsky Factory construction.
You will stroll through the beautiful old squares and avenues, take a lot of photos at art objects and monuments in the open-air "museum" on the famous Onega Embankment.
11:00 – 12:00 Magical New Year's Eve program in one of the beautiful museums of the city. Immerse yourself in the festive magic of art and history and enjoy a special themed guided tour.
12:00 Lunch at a cafe.
13:00 – 15:30 Trip to the secret workshop of Grandpa Hull!
Here, in the heart of Karelia, in a remote forest, is the Karelian estate of Grandfather Hull, the most hardworking of the Frost brothers.
The landlady Inkeri and his helpers, the housekeepers, live with him. The most favorite activity of housewives is telling children fairy tales around the campfire and treating them to delicious marshmallows.
For the youngest guests, a "House School" has been opened, where children will be taught magic tricks and will test their skills in making New Year's toys.
Meanwhile, the adults will learn the Karelian dance and make a talisman with their own hands, which they will take with them as a souvenir. Well, where's Hull's Grandfather?
He watched your efforts and is now waiting for everyone in his office. Remember – the most important and cherished desires can be whispered in his ear!
Well, at the end of a wonderful day, a traditional tea party awaits you!
Return to Petrozavodsk and accommodation in a 4* hotel.

Day 2 - Ruskeala Mountain Park
Breakfast at the hotel.
12:00 We leave for the Northern Ladoga region (260 km, ≈4 hours each way). We will go to the Ruskeala Mountain Park by the time the magic lights turn on in the marble canyon.
16:00 – 17:15 The famous Ruskeala Mountain Park was created on the historical sites of marble mining, which was mined here for centuries to decorate the architectural masterpieces of St. Petersburg.
A lake has formed in a huge man—made quarry, from which marble slopes grow, and in winter it turns into an ice fairy tale - the real kingdom of the Snow Queen.
In the evening, artistic lighting is turned on here, adding even more charm and magic to what is happening.
You will walk along the main route around the canyon, learn interesting facts from the history of mining, and take photos with the best views of the marble slopes.
You will walk through the "dry tunnel", where you will feel the power and scale of the rock production, look into the "marble heart" sinkhole, from where you can see the underground part of the park.
17:15 – 19:00 Free time in the park.
19:00 – 23:00 Return to Petrozavodsk.

Day 3 - Husky kennel. Kivach Nature Reserve
After breakfast, we leave the hotel.
11:00 – 12:00 Transfer to the husky kennel.
12:00 – 13:30 Guided tour of the kennel and acquaintance with Siberian and Alaskan huskies, champions of the famous dog sledding races.
In their company, you will take an unforgettable sled ride through a protected pine forest. We are traveling in a group of several teams along a prepared 2.5 km highway.
You can drive the sled yourself or enjoy the ride as a passenger. Upon our return, we relax, warm ourselves by the campfire and drink tea with sweets in the barbecue gazebo by the campfire.
Reindeer are also waiting for you – they will tell you about these beautiful horned animals, and then you can feed them with yagel from your hands.
14:00 – 15:00 Lunch in a cafe.
15:30 – 16:30 Visit to the Kivach Nature Reserve, the pearl of which is the ice-free waterfall. It is located on one of the largest rivers in Karelia - the Suna.
You will learn a beautiful Karelian legend related to this fact. You will have the opportunity to admire the waterfall and take great photos from three viewing platforms.
During the tour of the cozy Nature Museum located in the reserve, you will see the exposition of the animal and plant world of the area. In the protected arboretum, among other unique trees, you will see the famous Karelian birch.
You will find out why she is so appreciated and whether it is true that she does not have the usual annual rings. You will have the opportunity to stroll among the ancient trees and enjoy the purity of the Karelian air.
Return to Petrozavodsk by 18:00.
Transfer to the railway station. The end of the program.

Everything was perfectly organized. The weather let us down on the last day, but it didn’t stop us from going on the excursion to Mount Sekirnaya. A special thanks for the Nemetski Kuzov island — its beauty is truly breathtaking.
