It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

First of all, travel clothes should be comfortable. Take with you what you usually wear for hiking and relaxing. The weather in Karelia is capricious and changeable. When you stay outdoors for a long time in winter, the feeling of cold increases, even if there is no severe frost outside. We recommend taking waterproof and windproof outerwear. Wear several layers of clothing – it gives more warmth.

We recommend taking it with you:

  • a warm set of clothes (thermal underwear or a snowboard suit, a windproof jacket, a sweater, warm trousers or a fleece suit, a hat, warm and comfortable shoes (not heels!);
  • a small backpack for things on excursions;
  • personal hygiene items, masks;
  • individual first-aid kit, individual medicines (in case of chronic diseases);
  • camera or video camera, charger (powerbank);
  • festive clothing options;
  • cash or cards (for souvenirs, other personal expenses);
  • documents (travel package, tour program, contract), passport/birth certificate, compulsory medical insurance policy. If discounts are provided for pensioners, schoolchildren, students, for disability and other preferential categories, it is necessary to have supporting documents.
