A three—day tour to autumn Karelia is an opportunity to spend the November holidays immersed in a fairy tale and visiting a beautiful city in the North of Russia.

We will go on a visit to Talviucco, climb Mount Sampo, walk around the crater of the Girvas volcano. We will also taste tea made from local herbs, explore the Ruskeala Canyon, taste the water from healing springs and walk along the embankment of Petrozavodsk.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Petrozavodsk and the ethno-park: huskies with deer
08:00 Meeting of the group at the Petrozavodsk railway station.
We will be waiting for you at the railway station by 07:30. You can choose a train to arrive before 08:00. Your suitcases will be taken to the hotel in the luggage room, so prepare the most necessary things for the first day of sightseeing.
08:05 Breakfast.
08:30 Tour of Petrozavodsk— the capital of Karelia, the same age as St. Petersburg.
After breakfast, we will get acquainted with Petrozavodsk according to the program "Journey through the centuries".
You will travel through several epochs: "The Land excited by Peter", "The Era of Catherine the Great", and the Orthodox Petrozavodsk.
The land of rivers, lakes and seas will appear before you in all its glory. We will walk along the embankment, listen to the guide's story, and look at monuments, including Peter the Great.
11:00 Departure to the Talviukko patrimony.
You will get acquainted with huskies and malamutes, a tour of the nursery, tea with local herbs and fragrant Karelian pastries.
At the beginning of the patrimony, reindeer and fawns live.
The employees will introduce us to them and give us a tour of the farms, tell us about winter and summer riding sports, breeds of sled dogs, and their character traits.
And you can also cuddle cute puppies — future athletes.
After two excursions, you can ride in sledges with sled dogs through the Karelian forest — as much as 500 meters! The ticket is purchased for an additional fee, at the patrimony.

Day 2 - Marble Canyon of Ruskeala
The Northern Ladoga Region awaits us ahead.
08:00 Breakfast in the hotel restaurants.
09:00 Departure to the marble canyon of Ruskeala.
The distance from Petrozavodsk to Ruskeala is 260 kilometers. Travel time is from 3.5 to 4 hours.
On the way, the tour guide will tell you about the history of Karelia.
You will see ancient Karelian villages and beautiful lakes from the bus window.
In front of the Ruskeala Mountain Park, we will stop at the waterfalls: the film was shot here: "And the dawns are quiet here ...".
You can take photos, take a walk and discuss the local attraction.
A visit to the "ecotrope" is available for an additional fee. Walking on wooden suspension bridges right above the waterfalls is entertainment for the bravest.
14:00 Arrival at the territory of the Ruskeala Mountain Park.
Let's listen to an hour-long guided tour of the marble canyon.
The ecotrope around Ruskeala is about 1.5 kilometers long, it has many panoramic platforms from which unique views of the park open.
There are deposits of marble near the canyon.
You can visit them on your own or with a group and take some spectacular photos as a keepsake.
Other activities are also available on the canyon:
flight through the canyon by cable car;
excursion to the "Underground route".
You buy all additional services on the spot, at the ticket offices of the mountain park. Tickets cannot be pre-booked.
You can also have dinner at the cafe on the territory of Ruskeala Park and buy souvenirs.
21:00 Arrival in Petrozavodsk.
Relax, take a walk around the city or have dinner at the Karelian national cuisine restaurant. Gather your strength, we have a busy day ahead of us!

Day 3 - Mount Sampo. The resort "Marcial waters". The ancient volcano Girvas. Kivach Waterfall

Today we will visit the main attractions of Karelia:
Sampo Mountain;
the first Russian resort "Marcial Waters";
the ancient Girvas volcano;
Kivach waterfall.
We will visit the waterfall and hiking trails with shady gazebos. Souvenir shops, an arboretum and a nature museum are also available.
The total height of the Kivach waterfall is 10.7 m. The height of the sheer drop of water is 8 m.
During the tour, we will stop at a cafe where you can eat and relax.
