A three—day tour to autumn Karelia is an opportunity to spend the November holidays immersed in a fairy tale and visiting a beautiful city in Northern Russia.

We will visit Talviucco, climb Mount Sampo, and walk around the crater of the Girvas volcano. We will also explore the Ruskeala Canyon, taste the waters from the healing springs and walk along the embankment of Petrozavodsk.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Petrozavodsk and the ethno-park: huskies with deer
08:00 Group meeting at Petrozavodsk railway station.
We will be waiting for you at the railway station by 07:30. You can choose a train to arrive before 08:00. Your suitcases will be taken to the hotel in the luggage room, so prepare the essentials for the first day of sightseeing.
08:05 Breakfast.
08:30 Guided tour of Petrozavodsk, the capital of Karelia, the same age as St. Petersburg.
After breakfast, we will explore Petrozavodsk through the "Journey through the Ages" program.
You will travel through several epochs: "The Land excited by Peter", "The Era of Catherine the Great", and Orthodox Petrozavodsk.
The land of rivers, lakes and seas will appear before you in all its glory. We will walk along the embankment, listen to the guide's story, and look at monuments, including Peter the Great.
11:00 Departure to Talviukko patrimony.
The tour to Talviukko includes a visit to the sled dog kennel and reindeer farm, the Sami village, the Talviukko Residence and the Seasons exhibition. Karelian Calendar", an interactive program with Santa Claus.
Please note! Tea party with Karelian pastries is not included in the price. In the complex's cafe, you can drink hot tea with medicinal herbs on your own and taste national pastries.
At the beginning of the patrimony live reindeer with fawns.
The staff will introduce us to them and take us on a tour of the farms, tell us about winter and summer riding sports, sled dog breeds, and their personality traits.

Day 2 - Marble Canyon of Ruskeala
The Northern Ladoga Region awaits us ahead.
08:00 Breakfast in hotel restaurants.
09:00 Departure to Ruskeala Marble Canyon.
The distance from Petrozavodsk to Ruskeala is 260 kilometers. Travel time is from 3.5 to 4 hours.
On the way, the tour guide will tell you about the history of Karelia.
You will see ancient Karelian villages and beautiful lakes from the bus window.
Before Ruskeala Mountain Park, we will stop at the waterfalls: the film was shot here: "And the dawns here are quiet ...".
You can take photos, take a walk and discuss the local attraction.
A visit to the Ecotropa is available for an additional fee. Walking along the wooden suspension bridges directly over the waterfalls is fun for the bravest.
14:00 Arrival at the territory of Ruskeala Mountain Park.
Let's listen to an hour-long guided tour of the Marble Canyon.
The ecotrope around Ruskeala is about 1.5 kilometers long, and it has many panoramic platforms offering unique views of the park.
There are marble deposits near the canyon.
You can visit them on your own or with a group and take some spectacular keepsake photos.
Other activities are also available on the canyon.:
cable car ride through the canyon;
excursion to the "Underground route".
You can buy all additional services on the spot, at the ticket offices of the mountain park. Tickets cannot be pre-booked.
You can also have dinner at the cafe in Ruskeala Park and buy souvenirs.
21:00 Arrival in Petrozavodsk.
Relax, take a walk around the city or have dinner at the Karelian national cuisine restaurant. Gather your strength, we have a busy day ahead of us!

Today we will visit the main sights of Karelia.:
Sampo Mountain;
the first Russian resort "Marcial waters";
ancient volcano Girvas;
Kivach waterfall.
We will visit the waterfall and hiking trails with shaded gazebos. Souvenir shops, an arboretum and a nature museum are also available.
The total height of Kivach Waterfall is 10.7 m. The height of the sheer drop of water is 8 m.
During the tour, we will stop at a cafe where you can eat and relax.
