It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Travel clothes should be, first of all, comfortable. Take with you what you usually wear for hiking and recreation. The weather in Karelia is capricious and changeable. When you are outdoors for a long time in winter, the feeling of cold increases even if there is no severe frost outside. We recommend taking waterproof and windproof outerwear. Wear several layers of clothing – it gives more warmth.

We recommend taking it with you:

  • a warm set of clothes (thermal underwear or a snowboard suit, a windproof jacket, a sweater, warm trousers or a fleece suit, a hat, warm and comfortable shoes (not heels!);
  • a small backpack for things on excursions;
  • personal hygiene items, masks;
  • individual first aid kit, individual medicines (in the presence of chronic diseases);
  • camera or video camera, charger (powerbank);
  • festive clothing option;
  • cash or cards (for souvenirs, other personal expenses);
  • documents (voucher, tour program, contract), passport / birth certificate, MHI policy. If discounts are provided for pensioners, schoolchildren, students, disability and other preferential categories, you must have supporting documents.
