Arrival in the city of Petrozavodsk by morning trains, gathering of the group at the main entrance to the railway station, a landmark guide with a sign.

Getting to know the capital of Karelia is a sightseeing tour "From the history of Petrozavodsk".
You will find an interesting immersion in the history of the city from the reign of Peter the Great to the present day. You will learn how Petrozavodsk was founded and even see the places at the mouth of the Lososinka River, where Petrovskaya Sloboda originated.
With his fascinating story, the guide will take you back to the time of the construction of the Petrovsky plant.
You will walk along the beautiful old squares and avenues, take a lot of photos at art objects and monuments in the open-air museum on the famous Onega Embankment.
Transfer to the passenger port.
Transfer by meteor to Kizhi Island.
You will cover about 70 km along the water surface of the great Onega Lake.
You will be amazed by the blue and boundless expanses of it, and you will understand why in Karelian folklore it is often called the sea and even the ocean.
Meeting with the museum guide on the island, the beginning of the tour of the main exhibition "Masterpieces of Kizhi Island".
68 monuments of traditional wooden architecture are gathered here in the open air.
You will see the basis of the museum collection — the Kizhi Pogost ensemble, which is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
The pearl of the collection is rightfully considered to be the 22nd Transfiguration Church (1714), 37 meters high!
You will have the opportunity to visit the no less picturesque winter church of the Intercession of the Virgin and see the masterpieces of ancient Russian art.
After the tour, be sure to take a picture between the mill and the Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus, it is from there that you can see the ensemble in which both churches merge together!
Free time on the island, during which you can (for an additional fee on site):
- explore the interiors of the Transfiguration Church;
- climb the Tent Bell Tower and see the island from a bird's eye view;
- to make a souvenir with your own hands at craft workshops;
- take a britzka ride to the northern part of the island to the ancient villages;
- have lunch in a cafe and buy Kizhi souvenirs.
Transfer by boat to the village of Yersenevo (10 minutes along Lake Onega).
Accommodation in the Kizhi Grace Guest House (2-bed rooms with amenities).
Homemade dinner from the zaonezhsky hostess.
A free evening to relax in a beautiful guest house in a picturesque location on the shore of Lake Onega.
