It's important to know

Are bus and water transport crossings difficult?

The territory of the Republic of Karelia is quite large, and to see the three main islands at once – Kizhi, Valaam, Solovki – you need to cover decent distances. But, in our experience, bus crossings are not at all tedious, because we make frequent stops on excursions and just “warm up”. The group is led by an experienced guide who closely monitors the well-being of each tourist, as well as a professional driver with extensive work experience and comfortable and safe driving skills.

Transfers by meteor/comet to Kizhi Island and Valaam Island are overcome fairly quickly (about 1 hour) and are quite easy to transfer. The passage by ship across the White Sea takes a little longer – from 2 to 2.5 hours. But we must remember that we will conquer the largest lakes in Europe – Onega and Ladoga, as well as the harsh White Sea, so pitching is possible. Therefore, if you have noticed a tendency to “seasickness”, you need to put motion sickness remedies in your personal first-aid kit.
