Day 1 - A tour of Petrozavodsk. Shungite Center
Meeting in Petrozavodsk at the entrance to the railway station from the platform upon arrival of train No. 018 Moscow — Petrozavodsk. A guide with a sign.
Breakfast in a cafe in the city.
Sightseeing tour of Petrozavodsk.
We invite you to plunge into the friendly atmosphere of the northern capital of Karelia, Petrozavodsk.
On the sightseeing tour, you will see the beautiful embankment of Lake Onega, where you will find the "Tree of Desires" and other avant-garde sculptures donated to the city by the twin cities.
A journey into the world of the mysterious stone — shungite.
Visit the shungite center, where you can buy figurines, cosmetics, jewelry made of shungite at wholesale prices. As well as a visit to the relaxation room, filled with the vitality of shungite. The natural black stone is a real miracle.

In your free time, you can optionally sign up for excursions for an additional fee:
Rafting on the Shuya River.
The duration of the tour is 6 hours. It is booked and paid for upon purchase of the tour.

Departure for rafting.
You must have spare clothes and shoes with you (shoes must be of a sports type — sneakers, sneakers, light summer shoes such as "flip-flops" are allowed, but with a fixed back).
In case of rain, a rain cape.
Departure to the beginning of the rafting in Yumanishki.

Day 2 - Ruskeala Mountain Park Tour

Today we invite you to visit the Ruskeala Mountain Park. An excursion to a place with a spectacular name makes an indelible impression. This is the pearl of the Mountain Park, the calling card of Karelia!
A trip here is ideal for exploring the amazing northern region. On the tour you will learn a lot of interesting things, the history of the charming region is shrouded in numerous legends.
09:00 Departure by comfortable bus to West Karelia (260 km).
Visit to Ruskeala Mountain Park.
The park was established in 2005 on the basis of the Ruskeala Marble Quarry, a unique monument of Russia's industrial heritage.
Marble mining was started here in 1769 by decree of Catherine II to decorate the famous buildings of St. Petersburg: the Marble Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Mariinsky Palace, etc.

The combination of Karelian nature and human activity has given these quarries a surprisingly picturesque appearance that attracts travel enthusiasts not only from Karelia.
On the way, stop at the Ruskeala Akhvenkoski waterfall.
Translated from Finnish as "Okunevy threshold".
Locals sometimes call it the "waterfall at the three bridges."
The bathing scene of one of the heroines of the film "And the dawns here are quiet" was filmed at this waterfall.
Amazingly picturesque nature invariably attracts the creators of modern films with its mysterious beauty and some kind of mysterious power.
In 2010, a fantasy film "The Dark World" was shot here (the entrance fee is paid independently on the spot at the box office).

The first stop is at Sampo Mountain. For locals and tourists alike, Mount Sampo is a place of power. Those who believe in it rush to Mount Sampo. However, once in this place, you involuntarily begin to believe in the magic and fairy tale of nature: beautiful views open from the top, and you want to stay for a moment longer, peering into the outlines of the rocks, looking at the lake with dozens of small islands and listening to the mysterious noise of the trees.
A trip to the first Russian resort "Marcial Waters", founded by Peter the Great in 1719. Visit to the Church of St. Peter the Apostle (1721), tasting water from famous natural springs.

Another attraction of the Republic of Karelia that cannot be ignored is the ancient volcano Girvas.
If you are lucky enough to visit it at the moment when the dam locks are open, you can see with your own eyes a fascinating sight — a huge waterfall, much larger than Kivacha.
Actually, before the construction of the Girvas hydroelectric power station, it was a waterfall.
A stormy foaming stream rushing down from a great height will make an indelible impression on everyone who is lucky enough to see it with their own eyes.

Scientists are undoubtedly confident that this is the oldest surviving crater on earth.
According to some sources, it is 2 billion years old, according to others — at least 3 billion years old.

Visit Kivach Waterfall, one of the largest lowland waterfalls in Europe.
You will also visit the nature museum and the arboretum, the decoration and pride of which are the famous Karelian birches.
Transfer to Petrozavodsk railway station approximately by 17:30.
