Master class "In the icon painting workshop".
Do you know how icons were created in Russia? You can learn about this in the unique creation of Russian architects — the Church of the Ascension. It is one of the most beautiful monuments of the Russian North. Six unique iconostases from the 17th and 18th centuries have been preserved in the church.
Today there is a Museum of Ancient Russian Art here. Part of the museum space has been transformed into an icon painter's workshop. Becoming his guests, you will be able to explore how the icon board was prepared and the contours of the future image were applied to it, what paints and tools Russian icon painters used.
They will not only tell you, but also give you the opportunity to feel like an icon painter. Of course, they will not be trusted to depict the faces: personal icon painters have always been engaged in this in Russia. But everyone can try to acquire the skills of a paint grinder, draw a horse or an ornament based on drawings.
Lunch in a cafe in the city with northern cordiality, liqueurs made from wild berries and fluffy pancakes for tea.

Visit to the 19th lock of the White Sea-Baltic Canal.
On the instructions of I. V. Stalin, the 227 km long canal was built in twenty months — from September 1931 to April 1933. 19 locks, 15 dams, 12 spillways, 49 dams — so many hydraulic structures were erected by prisoners without the help of machines and attracted currency.
The country was faced with the task of building a waterway from the Baltic to the North and to the Volga. Connect the Black Sea with the Caspian Sea. Stalin himself mapped out the route of the canal, indicating its starting and ending points, practically repeating the path of Peter the Great — the Osudarev Road.

It is impossible to know in advance whether passengers can board and disembark at non-fixed stops, upon arrival at which the tour service is provided (there may be parking on the train, but boarding/disembarking may not be allowed. There are various reasons for this. For example, the length of the platform does not allow, the train is on the sidings, and there is basically no platform.). The tour operator is not responsible for boarding and disembarking passengers when the train stops without sightseeing services.
Tourists can join the tourist route on any part of it, where there is a train parking with an excursion day service. But without recalculating the cost of the tour in terms of railway transportation. Since a cruise train ticket is issued from the start point of the tour to the end point of the tour, there will be no recalculation of the cost of railway travel in this case. For sightseeing days when tourists will not be present on excursions, we will recalculate the cost.
In a 4-seater compartment for two people, top+bottom accommodation is provided. Placement on the two lower shelves is possible only in a 2-seater compartment or a ST.
The purchase of the fourth seat in the compartment is optional, accommodation with check-in is possible.
Tours on the territory of the Russian Federation do not imply the presence of a notarized consent from one of the parents / legal representative for the child's trip accompanied by a third party.
