Day 1 - Arrival in Petrozavodsk, city tour, trip to the "Marcial Waters" and the Kivach Nature Reserve
Arrival in the city of Petrozavodsk by morning trains, gathering of the group at the main entrance to the railway station, a landmark guide with a sign "Lukomorye".
Breakfast.
Getting to know the capital of Karelia is a sightseeing tour "From the history of Petrozavodsk".
You will find an interesting immersion in the history of the city from the reign of Peter the Great to the present day. You will learn how Petrozavodsk was founded and even see the places at the mouth of the Lososinka River, where Petrovskaya Sloboda originated.
With his fascinating story, the guide will take you back to the time of the construction of the Petrovsky plant.
You will walk along the beautiful old squares and avenues, take a lot of photos at art objects and monuments in the open-air museum on the famous Onega Embankment.
Transfer to the resort "Marcial waters".
This is the first Russian resort, which was founded by Peter the Great in 1719 on the basis of ferruginous mineral springs. You will visit the Museum of the History of the resort, visit the Church of the Apostle Peter and taste the water from three healing springs.
Attention: an excursion to Mount Sampo is added in the summer season!
Lunch at the cafe.
Visit the Kivach Nature Reserve, the pearl of which is the waterfall of the same name.
It is located on one of the largest rivers in Karelia — the Suna.
You will learn a beautiful Karelian legend related to this fact.
You will have the opportunity to admire the waterfall and take great photos from three viewing platforms. During the tour of the cozy Nature Museum located in the reserve, you will see the exposition of the animal and plant world of the area.
In the protected arboretum, in addition to other unique trees, you will see the famous Karelian birch.
You will find out why she is so appreciated and whether it is true that she does not have the usual annual rings. You will have the opportunity to walk among the ancient trees and enjoy the purity of the Karelian air.
We return to Petrozavodsk and stay in a 4* hotel in standard rooms.

Day 2 - A trip to Kizhi Island
Breakfast. Room release.
A trip to Kizhi Island: in summer — on a "comet", in winter — on a hovercraft!
You will cover about 70 km along the great Onega Lake. You will be amazed by the boundless expanses of Onega, and you will understand why in Karelian folklore it is often called the sea and even the ocean. One-way travel time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Meeting with the guide on the island, the beginning of the tour of the main exhibition "Masterpieces of Kizhi Island".
68 monuments of traditional wooden architecture are gathered here in the open air. You will see the basis of the museum collection — the Kizhi Pogost ensemble, which is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
Further along the tour route, you will be introduced to the incredible beauty of wooden houses. You will be surprised how well and competently everything was thought out on the farm of the peasants.
Near the chapel of the Archangel Michael, you can relax on a bench and enjoy the melodious and majestic bells.
After the tour, free time in summer, and an additional program from the museum in winter. Time spent on the island: in summer — 4 hours, in winter and in September — 3 hours.
Until 17:00Return to Petrozavodsk. Transfer to the railway station.
