Two days on the Shuya River

Rafting on the lower Shuya is suitable for beginners who want to test themselves for the first time. 

During the weekend tour, you will pass 7 thresholds of the 1st and 2nd difficulty categories, which are absolutely safe, and spend the night in a tent on the beautiful riverbank. 

At the end of the rafting, you will be able to roll on the threshold of the "Big Tolly", kayakers from all over the country come here for training!

It is possible to conduct a tour in an individual format.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Transfer to the starting point. The beginning of the alloy

    Meeting at the Petrozavodsk railway station and departure by bus to our "clearing" (28 km), where we pack personal belongings in hermetic bags, select equipment, go through an instruction and have a little snack. 

    You can also arrive at the start point by private car (city paid parking), you must notify the organizer in advance.

    Then we go another 35 km to the village of Kindasovo, before going out on the water, one more technical briefing and go ahead! 

    A small training session is already on the water. 

    On this day, you can master the rowing technique because along the way you will meet only one simple threshold, after several kilometers parking, dinner by the campfire, overnight in tents.

The tour includes accommodation in tents.

The cost of rafting (8 participants + instructor):

  • Adults — 12,500 rubles/person.
  • Children under 12 years of age — 10,500 rubles/person.
Tent camp 1 night

The tents are four—seater. The required number of thermal insulation mats is provided for the tent.

Sleeping bags — the temperature regime is optimal for the time of the tour. If you take a personal sleeping bag, you should warn the company in advance.

Dishes — everyone needs to have personal dishes. Boilers, trays and other cooking utensils are provided.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • A backpack without a machine or a travel bag — do not take suitcases!
  • Comfortable hiking clothes: neoprene suit (in May and September), thermal underwear, trousers and a light hooded jacket (anorak), long sleeve shirt, wool socks 2 pairs, simple socks 2-3 pairs, bathing suit, T-shirts, cotton or sports gloves, headdress with a visor, warm jacket, warm jacket, woolen a hat, a sweater, a rain cape, a change of underwear.
  • Shoes: hiking boots or sneakers, replacement shoes, rubber boots (at your discretion).
  • Personal items: repellents, sunglasses, a bowl, a mug, a spoon, a knife, a flashlight with a set of spare batteries, a power bank, sunscreen and after sunburn, a small polyurethane seat mat, personal hygiene products, an individual first aid kit.
  • Documents in sealed packaging: passport, medical insurance policy.

You need to take with you:

  • several sets of clothes for being on the water and several sets for being on the shore;
  • a warm set of clothes for sleeping (jacket, pants, socks);
  • shoes with foot fixation for alloy;
  • shoes for being on the shore.
