Departure by Meteor toValaam (45 minutes by Lake Ladoga). Arrival at the monastery bay. Sightseeing tour of the central estate of the monastery with a visit to the Transfiguration Cathedral, chapels, cell buildings, outbuildings and hotel buildings.
Lunch in the monastery refectory.
Transfer to Nikonovskaya Bay.

The park was established in 2005 on the basis of the Ruskeala Marble Quarry, a unique monument of Russia's industrial heritage. Marble mining was started here in 1769 by decree of Catherine II to decorate the famous buildings of St. Petersburg: the Marble Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Mariinsky Palace, etc.

Another attraction of the Republic of Karelia that cannot be ignored is the ancient volcano Girvas. If you are lucky enough to visit it at the moment when the dam locks are open, you can see with your own eyes a fascinating sight – a huge waterfall, much larger than Kivacha. Actually, before the construction of the Girvas hydroelectric power station, it was a waterfall. A stormy foaming stream rushing down from a great height will make an indelible impression on everyone who is lucky enough to see it with their own eyes. Inspection of the exposed part of the Girvas Volcano crater. Scientists are undoubtedly confident that this is the oldest surviving crater on earth. According to some sources, it is 2 billion years old, according to others - at least 3 billion years old...
Visit Kivach Waterfall, one of the largest lowland waterfalls in Europe. You will also visit the arboretum, the decoration and pride of which are the famous Karelian birches. Karelian birch is a tree to which nature has given the amazing beauty of wood, which resembles marble in its pattern. Even in the 21st century, there is a debate among scientists about the origin of this amazing tree.
Return to Petrozavodsk by 17:00.
