Day 1 - Meeting, tour of the capital of Karelia and Kizhi Island
07:50 Meeting in Petrozavodsk at the railway station at the 9th car of the train No. 18 Moscow-Petrozavodsk.

Breakfast in a cafe in the city.

Sightseeing tour of the capital of Karelia and a walk along the Onega embankment.
We invite you to plunge into the friendly atmosphere of the northern city – the capital of Karelia – the city of Petrozavodsk. On the sightseeing tour, you will see the beautiful embankment of Lake Onega, where you will find the "Tree of Desires" and other avant-garde sculptures donated to the city by the twin cities. Be sure to take a look at the Governor's Park!

Excursion to Kizhi Island.
Ride on the "comet" (1 hour 20 min. along Lake Onega). Kizhi Island is a "calling card" not only of Karelia, but also of Russia. The unique ensemble of the Churchyard is known all over the world, and every year the flow of tourists wishing to visit the island is only growing! An excursion program through the museum-reserve with a visit to the Church of the Intercession and ethnographic expositions.

Day 2 - Free day. Excursion to Valaam Island and Ruskeala Mountain Park
A buffet breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant.

Departure by meteor to Valaam Island (45 minutes on Lake Ladoga).
Arrival at the monastery bay.
Sightseeing tour of the central estate of the monastery with a visit to the Transfiguration Cathedral, chapels, cell buildings, household and hotel buildings.
Lunch in the monastery refectory.
Transfer to Nikonovskaya Bay.
Visiting the Resurrection and Gethsemane skeets.
Return to Sortavala.
Excursion to the Ruskeala Mountain Park – Marble Canyon, duration (1 hour 15 minutes)
Marble mining was started here in 1769 by decree of Catherine II to decorate the famous buildings of St. Petersburg: the Marble Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Mariinsky Palace, etc.
Return to the hotel.
Attention: the water excursion to Valaam Island will take place under favorable weather conditions!
2. Excursion to the Ruskeala Mountain Park – "Marble Canyon" (except for arrival from July 26, 2024, booked and paid for when buying the tour, duration – 1 hour 15 minutes).

The park was established in 2005 on the basis of a unique monument of Russia's industrial heritage – the Ruskeala marble quarry.
21:00 Arrival in Petrozavodsk.
3. Rafting on the Shuya River (booked and paid for when buying a tour).
09:45 meeting with the instructor at the Peter Inn hotel.

Day 3 - Marcial Waters Resort, Kivach Waterfall
Buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Room release.
Departure for the excursion program.

A trip to the first Russian resort "Marcial Waters", founded by Peter the Great in 1719. Inspection of the Church of St. Peter the Apostle (1721), tasting of water from famous natural springs.
Excursion to the Girvas volcano.
Another attraction of the Republic of Karelia that cannot be ignored is the ancient Girvas volcano. If you are lucky enough to visit it at the moment when the floodgates of the dam are open, you can see with your own eyes a fascinating sight – a huge waterfall, much larger than Kivacha.
Actually, Girvas was a waterfall before the construction of the hydroelectric power station. The stormy foaming stream rushing down from a great height will make an indelible impression on everyone who is lucky enough to see it with their own eyes.

Scientists are undoubtedly confident that this is the oldest surviving crater on earth. According to some sources, it is 2 billion years old, according to others - at least 3 billion years old...
Visit Kivach Waterfall, one of the largest flat waterfalls in Europe. You will also visit the arboretum, the decoration and pride of which are the famous Karelian birches.
Karelian birch is a tree to which nature has given the amazing beauty of wood, reminiscent of marble in its pattern. Even in the 21st century, there is debate among scientists about the origin of this amazing tree.

Return to Petrozavodsk to the railway station by 17:00.
