Wine and gastronomic tour of the Krasnodar Territory

In the morning we have breakfast at the hotel and set ourselves up for a very eventful, beautiful and wine-filled day!

Today we are going north of Anapa, to the Taman Peninsula.

At first, we will be waited for in a unique place for Russia — the Chateau Tamagne oenology center. 

Here we will immerse ourselves in the world of wine, see how this drink is born, and learn all the subtleties of production.

We will see all the bottling lines in action, see how still wines and sparkling wines are made. 

We will visit the wine aging room in barrels and figure out the difference between barrels of different oak varieties.

Then we proceed to the tasting! 

It will be held in the format of a wine casino. 

We will try 5 samples of wines from different Chateau Tamagne lines.

And then they will be waiting for us for lunch at the gastronomic restaurant of the author's cuisine Chateau Tamagne. 

For an aperitif, we will be served a plateau of farmed Krasnodar cheeses and a salad with cottage cheese and nuts. 

The main course is veal medallions with carrot puree and cherries in Saperavi Chateau Taman. 

And at the end of the lunch — panna cotta with grapes.

Then we go to Fanagoria, one of the largest wineries in Russia.

Today, quiet, sparkling, liqueur wines, brandy and grape vodka (chacha) are produced here. 

Fanagoria even has its own cooperage shop (production of oak barrels)!

We will visit the workshop, vineyards, wine cellars and taste 7 premium samples of the company, including aged sparkling wine, 10-year-old Russian cognac and 10-year-old chacha. 

And gastronomic accompaniment — farm cheeses! 

Several types from local producers: young and aged.

And, of course, throughout the tour we will learn how to combine wines and products correctly.

In the evening we return to our hotel, relax after a busy day!

Today we have breakfast on the sunny terrace of our hotel and look forward to new experiences.

We are leaving for the Lefkadia Valley! 

The purest lake Gechepsin, lavender fields, truffle groves, endless vineyards — we will have a tour of the valley.

Then we will go down to the cellars, learn about the peculiarities of winemaking in the valley and taste premium wines, which will be accompanied by various cheeses from cow, sheep and goat produced in the Lefkadian valley.

After the tasting, we will walk around the territory.

Statues, fountains, fabulous decorations and buildings, surrounded by vineyards.

And then we will go for lunch to the Lokavor restaurant, which prepares exclusively from local products, choosing the freshest and tastiest. 

There is even a small vegetable garden right next to the restaurant so that young vegetables can be taken directly from the garden and seasoned with fresh herbs! 

We will try the signature dishes of this place.

The chef will prepare for us a salad with baked buche cheese and caramelized beetroot, as well as a fillet of catfish on a pillow of spinach. 

And at the end of lunch, we will taste cheese mousse with berry sorbet. 

Adding to this the magnificent views of the vineyard and the valley, you realize the need to disconnect from reality and fully immerse yourself in the meal. 

We relax in the restaurant and drive on.

They are already waiting for us at the boutique winery Gunko Winery, whose wines are in great demand among connoisseurs! 

Over the past three years, local wines have won 11 gold and silver awards at international tasting competitions. 

The winemaker will show us his possessions, vineyards and invite us to taste the 5 best samples of his farm.

After the tasting, we return to our hotel by the sea.

Today, after breakfast at the hotel, we leave for Novorossiysk.

On the way, we will stop at the Nesterov Winery, where very rare grape varieties are being built: Viognier, Viorica, Ruby Golodrigi.

And the wine tasting will take place in the restaurant at the winery. 

The restaurant is among the top 3 establishments in the South of Russia according to WhereToEat.

There is an amazing chef here who will delight us with the original serving of dishes and the selection of unusual combinations, for which people come here from all over the Krasnodar Territory.

We will try the chestnut cream soup with dried tomatoes and basil oil.

Fried scallops with mountain trout sauce and white truffle mousse are waiting for us as the main course. 

And for dessert — mochi with white chocolate ganache with hazelnuts and seasonal berries. We are enjoying and discovering new combinations!

After lunch, we drive to Lake Abrau. 

It is simultaneously "little Switzerland", Black Sea Champagne and "Russian California" without visas and passports :) 

We will walk along the embankment and take beautiful photos.

After the walk, of course, we will visit Abrau-Durso for a wine and gastronomic tour! 

We will get acquainted with the process of the birth of champagne and find out what the mysterious French words mean: "Cuvee", "Remuage", "Degorgage", and what is the difference between the classical production method and the Charm method. 

And we will taste 5 samples of sparkling wines from premium Abrau-Durso lines.

After the tasting, we will have a Black Sea dinner at the gastronomic school, which we will prepare ourselves under the guidance of the chef of the Abrau-Durso restaurants. 

We will learn how to cook snails in Kuban style with young garlic and chopped parsley, bake freshly caught fish. 

And for dessert, we'll cook a baked apple with ricotta and honey.

We try the prepared dishes and share our impressions of a busy day!

And we are going to check into our new hotel in Novorossiysk, which is also located on the seashore.

We have breakfast, relax by the sea and go to the snail farm closer to lunch!

The snail farm is located on the territory of the first gravity winery in Russia, Chateau Pinot. 

We will taste 6 wines paired with snails in two sauces.

The farm is located 260 m above sea level, surrounded by mountains. 

The place is attractive from the first minute, leaving no one indifferent. 

The policy of Chateau Pinot is aimed at creating original wines of high quality.

After the snails, we go on to the winery with a rich history — Myshako!

Today, Myshako wines are made in the French style and are distinguished by an elegant and complex bouquet. 

We will visit the cellars of the 19th century, historical halls, production halls of quiet and sparkling wines and go for a tasting!

8 wines and 8 dishes are waiting for us!

An enogastronomical gala dinner, where a gastronomic couple is served with wine, ideally emphasizing and complementing the taste. 

Each dish is presented by the architect of taste — chef Nikolai Abrosimov (he worked in Michelin-starred establishments!), and the wine is presented by the chef—sommelier Roman Ascheulov.

This dinner will leave an indelible taste impression!
