Borus is a mountain range located in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the vicinity of the village of Cheryomushki in the city of Sayanogorsk, near the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP. The highest point of the ridge is Poilova Peak (Bolshoy Borus), rising 2,318 meters above sea level.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer Krasnoyarsk – Cheryomushki
At 7:00 we leave Krasnoyarsk by car towards the village of Cheryomushki.
The journey takes about 7-8 hours.
When we reach the place, we move into a warm house, get acquainted.
If desired, we can go to the observation deck, from which the Big and Small Borus appear in all their glory.

Day 2 - Climbing Borus
Early this morning, after a hearty breakfast, we go on the route.
We have to walk about 20 km along the mountain taiga trail and kurumnik and gain 1,700 m altitude.
We go with light backpacks, take a thermos, a snack and clothes to insulate ourselves if necessary.
The weather may change, we recommend taking warm windproof clothes.
In the evening, tired but happy, we return to our houses, where we have a delicious dinner, exchange impressions about the past day and steam in the Russian bath.

Day 3 - Returning home
After a good night's sleep and rest, we have breakfast and go to Krasnoyarsk.

The route has a 1B category of difficulty – that is, it does not require special equipment and is accessible to a healthy, active adult, but it is not an easy walk.

The length of the round-trip route is about 20 km. The total set of heights is about 2,000 m. The travel time is about 12 hours.
