Itinerary

Day 1 - Passage of the Cossack threshold
At 06:00 at the Rechnoy vokzal (address: 1A Dubrovinsky St.) meeting with the head of the group, boarding the cruise ship "A. Sailors", accommodation in 2-1-bed cabins of the first class.
09:00 Breakfast on the ship.
The passage of the Kazachinsky threshold is the most difficult section on the Yenisei River near the village of Kazachinsky (233-240 km from Krasnoyarsk). Its length is 4 km. It is formed by rocky outcrops, rocky ridges of the Yenisei Ridge, crossing the riverbed along its entire width.
Vessels are escorted against the current by Russia's only special motor ship, the Yenisei tourer, which is moving by stretching a cable laid along the river bottom.
The Yenisei riverbed narrows to 350 m in the threshold, and the ship's passage is up to 70 m.
But how beautiful is the Cossack threshold, for all its severity! Many artists have repeatedly painted his views. The threshold originates at Kamenny Cape. The water in the Yenisei is noisy and foaming at the rocks.
The high hills of the river banks fascinate with their beauty, beautiful cliffs are visible, ending at the water's edge, for example, the Eagle rock on the left bank.
On the right coast there is an amazingly beautiful island called Islets, and behind it the picturesque Zaostrovskaya bayou.

Day 2 - Sightseeing tour of Yeniseysk

Sightseeing walking tour of Yeniseisk (3 hours). Yeniseisk is located on the Yenisei Plain, on the left bank of the Yenisei, below the confluence of the Angara River, 330 km north of Krasnoyarsk. The city is called an "open-air museum", the urban development includes 94 architectural monuments.
The complex of the Transfiguration Monastery and four churches are unique examples of Siberian Baroque, built in the middle and second half of the XVIII century. They are close to the Russian temples of the previous century in terms of planning and spatial structure and picturesque decor.
The stone civil buildings of Yeniseisk are mainly two–storey houses along the main street, on the embankment and the central squares.

Excursion to the Yenisei Museum of Local Lore.

Day 3 - Excursion to the Monastery lake. Private Plane Museum
Breakfast at the hotel.
At 10:00, an excursion to the Monastery Lake, located 30 km west of Yeniseisk. Here, on the holy piece of the Yenisei land, prayer services and the sacraments of baptism are performed. A great place to relax and swim – if the weather is good, you can swim.
Lunch at a cafe.
Excursion to the private plane Museum. The only collection of planes that is listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
Free time.

Day 4 - Karaulny Island tour

Departure by tourist bus to Krasnoyarsk. The route lies along the highway of regional importance "Yenisei tract". The highway connects the northern regions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, runs from Krasnoyarsk through Lesosibirsk and ends in Yeniseisk.
The length of the highway is 345 km, passes through many settlements, formerly Yamshchitsky villages founded by Cossacks.
Arrival in Ust-Tunguska, excursion to Karaulny Island, the confluence of the Angara River with the Yenisei River. There are many beautiful legends about the beautiful Angara, the only daughter of the old man of Baikal, and the mighty handsome Yenisei.
Baikal was against their wedding, following his runaway daughter, he abandoned the palace, which was supposed to be her wedding gift. The palace fell apart into many fragments, they became the Strelkov threshold, and the largest stone is Karaulny Island.
Nothing could stop the wayward daughter on the way to the Yenisei: neither the fierce rapids, nor the scattering of rocks, nor the cliffs that stood in the way of the fugitive.

Lunch-picnic in nature (Yenisei fish soup, grayling on the grill, herbal tea). If the weather is good, you can swim in the Hangar.

The Yeniseiskaya Hotel has been operating since 2005. It is located in a quiet and cozy place of the city, in the historical center. Nearby is the Yenisei Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, founded around 1592, and the Assumption Cathedral, one of the oldest churches in the Krasnoyarsk diocese. The bells can be heard on holidays and during the solemn events of the city.

The hotel is located in an old two-storey merchant's house built in 1894. The warm and welcoming wooden building retains the flavor of its era. The silence and cleanliness in the house lead to a serene rest and deep sleep.

Hotel guests take off their shoes at the entrance to the house and are offered slippers, so our place is always clean and cozy.

For guests staying in rooms without in-room amenities, there are a sufficient number of toilets with washbasins and showers.

The hotel retains wooden floors, which are covered with carpets. The walls are decorated with interesting paintings, shelves with collections of tableware.

The hotel has a library. You can spend winter evenings in the living room with hotel guests, watching an interesting movie or playing the piano.

It was an impressive trip with a very diverse route. The food was plentiful, maybe even a bit too much. For such a long journey, there wasn’t as much walking as I would have liked.
