The museum has an unparalleled collection of Russian jewelry and decorative and applied arts of the XIX-XX centuries. The most valuable and famous items in the museum's collection are 9 imperial Easter eggs created by Carl Gustaf Faberge.

08:20 (12:20) Grand Petersburg bus tour. We will see a city where the splendor of the imperial court and the grandeur of churches, the might of the royal guard and the work of the highest authorities met.
We will explore the magnificent palaces and cathedrals, learn about the theaters where great artists worked and take a walk around the Palace Square, where history, culture and art combined.
10:30 (14:30) Excursion to the Hermitage, one of the world's greatest museums, located in six unique buildings, including the Winter Palace, the residence of the Russian tsars.
We will see the masterpieces of great masters: Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Titian, El Greco, Gauguin, Matisse and many others.
Please note: the time of the Hermitage tour may change to 16:00-18:00, to be specified after December 24.
12:00 (16:00) Free time at the Hermitage (open until 20:00). Independent return to the hotel.

10:40 Suburban excursion to Tsarskoye Selo. Tsarskoye Selo is the favorite summer residence of Empress Catherine II.
The center of the ensemble is the Catherine Palace, an outstanding monument of the Baroque era, in which a unique Amber Room was recreated for the tercentenary of St. Petersburg: all its walls are decorated with "gifts of the sun."
There is a picturesque park next to the palace, consisting of regular and landscape parts.

I really enjoyed the tour, even despite the snowfall. The itinerary was packed with activities and experiences - so much so that by the second day we were feeling pleasantly tired. The lunches were excellent, and we were glad we chose to include them. The organization was outstanding, and our guide, Nelli, was wonderful. She shared a wealth of interesting information and presented it in a way that kept everyone engaged throughout the trip. The Druzhba Hotel was quite good overall. The breakfasts offered a wide variety of dishes, and the location was convenient, not far from the city center. There was also a supermarket nearby, which was very handy. A few practical notes for future travelers: standard rooms are equipped with 2 separate beds rather than 1 large bed. Slippers and bathrobes are not provided. A hairdryer was available, but the complimentary shower gel and shampoo packets were quite small .
