Bus tour "Unexplored Peterhof". We will dedicate this day of the tour to the family of Emperor Nicholas I, who is rightfully considered the "second father" of Peterhof after Peter the Great.

Under Nikolai Pavlovich, the number of parks at the Peterhof country residence expanded, a cottage and a Farm Palace were built, which were used for the private life of the imperial family, and magnificent park Tsaritsyn and Holgin pavilions appeared. We're going to one of them today.

Excursion to the Tsaritsyn Pavilion. The pavilions are located on the picturesque islands of Holgina Pond and were intended for a pleasant pastime for the wife and daughter of Nicholas I.

The exquisite ensemble, created in ancient traditions, includes two small cozy palaces, Pompeian-style gardens and luxurious flower beds.

Due to the weather conditions, it is possible to replace the object of the visit.

Peterhof Fountain Park tour. You will see the Peterhof palace and park ensemble, admire the most famous fountains and cascades of the park. The jet of the most famous fountain "Samson" rises to the height of a seven-story building.

You will have the opportunity not only to walk along the alleys of the park, but also to admire the panorama of the Gulf of Finland.

Excursion to the Catherine Building Palace. The Catherine Building is a small chamber palace built for Elizabeth Petrovna and rebuilt for Catherine II.

Today, the main halls of the palace feature a unique collection of furniture made from various types of trees, as well as personal belongings and memorabilia of those emperors who owned the palace at various times.

The main attraction of the Catherine Building is the famous Guryev set, made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg.

10:30 Walking day. Meeting at the Arts Square, next to the monument to Alexander Pushkin, a sign "About Petersburg", for all hotels.

Excursion to the Russian Museum. Russian Russian State Museum is the largest collection of Russian fine art in the world. The museum's collections include about 400,000 exhibits.

They feature works of all major trends and schools of Russian fine art, all its types and genres from the 10th to the 20th century.

Here you can see familiar reproductions of icons by Andrei Rublev, paintings "Boatmen on the Volga" by Ilya Repin, "Six-Winged Seraphim" by Mikhail Vrubel, "The Last Day of Pompeii" by Karl Bryullov, as well as works by Serov, Surikov, Aivazovsky, Levitan and other prominent artists.

Bus tour to Oranienbaum. During the tour, you will visit one of the brilliant suburbs of St. Petersburg - Oranienbaum, where the lush vegetation of the wild nature perfectly combines with the unique architecture of palaces and pavilions.

Chinese Palace tour. The Chinese Palace is rightfully considered the pearl of the Oranienbaum Palace and Park ensemble. Designed by architect A. Rinaldi in the Rococo style in the second half of the 18th century, it became part of the complex of Empress Catherine II's Own summer residence.

The main attraction of the Chinese Palace is the Glass-tiered Cabinet, which has been preserved to this day, like most of the interiors of this amazing building, in its original form.

During the tour, you will learn about the complicated history of the Private Cottage complex and explore the interiors of the palace, consisting of two halves — Catherine and Pavlovskaya.

In 2024, the last stage of the restoration work, which lasted 20 years, was completed: all the halls of the Palace were opened to visitors.

Due to the weather conditions, it is possible to replace it with an excursion to the Bolshoy Menshikov Palace.

Its total life span from the moment of launching is 122 years. The bow cannon has been preserved on the upper deck of the ship, the shot of which served as the signal for the storming of the Winter Palace in October 1917.

Excursion to Vyborg. Vyborg is a unique city with a rich history, after visiting which you will find yourself in Medieval Europe on the territory of Russia. The journey to Vyborg will take about 2 hours.

Visit to the State Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve "Parc Monrepos". This wonderful corner embodies the whole natural flavor of the northern nature.

High hills are covered with dense forests, huge granite slabs are adjacent to swampy lowlands. Exquisite elements of park culture are in harmony with rare plants.

You can enjoy the amazing views while walking among the shady alleys, see the mysterious Narcissus spring and relax near the Hermit's hut.

Old Town tour + Vyborg Castle grounds. During the tour, you will slowly walk through the narrow cobbled streets and ancient squares of this amazing city, which attracts tourists and travelers from many countries.

You will discover a number of beautiful historical monuments, including the Market Square, the Old Town Hall Square, and the monument to Thorgels Knutsson, the founder of the city.

The most important object on the list, of course, is Vyborg Castle, one of the most recognizable sights of the city. It preserves the memory of the events of the past and recalls the importance of Vyborg as a center of trade routes and an important political point.

The castle was built according to medieval canons, when artillery was not yet used on the battlefield, and the main military force was mounted knights.

Free time in the city center (~3 hours). You will have enough time to have lunch, climb the St. Olaf Tower on your own, or, for example, take a boat trip along Vyborg Bay.

External inspection of the Panzerlax Bastion and the Alvar Aalto Library. The Panzerlaks bastion is the most important element of the fortress structure on the coast of Vyborg Bay.

Next to the bastion, in a green square, is the central library, designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in the style of functional modernism, which is characterized by a combination of the rigor of functionalism and the gentle smoothness of natural lines.

The Diamond Storeroom presents ancient gold and silver products, unsurpassed masterpieces of jewelry made by masters of Western Europe and Russia.

At the end of the tour in the Storeroom, you will be able to continue your own inspection of the exhibits of the museum complex (time is unlimited, you can stay in the Hermitage until closing).
