Day 1 - Friday. Tour "Suppliers of His Imperial Majesty's Court", Faberge Museum
Arrival in St. Petersburg.

To receive a badge of distinction and become a Supplier to the Court of his Imperial Majesty was the dream of any conscientious manufacturer of the late XIX – early XX century. It was not so easy, and many people have been striving for this title for years.
You will find a fascinating history of the formation of the most famous trade and industrial names and the history of their enterprises in Russia: Eliseevs, Abrikosovs, Kuznetsovs, Faberge, Singer, Smirnov, etc.
And each of them not only maintained the quality of goods at a high level, but also applied new technologies for the production and marketing of goods.
We will visit the famous Yeliseyev merchants store, which to this day combines a multifaceted concept — it is not only a deli, but also restaurants, a theater and a formal living room for formal receptions.
13:00 Excursion to the magnificent Faberge Jewelry Museum, located in the Shuvalov Palace. Following the principle of the great master, the real wonders of jewelry art are hidden behind the modest facades of the Shuvalov Palace.
The museum has an unparalleled collection of Russian jewelry and decorative and applied arts of the XIX-XX centuries. The most valuable and famous items in the museum's collection are 9 imperial Easter eggs created by Carl Gustav Faberge.
14:30 At the end of the tour, you will find a small gastronomic surprise – the signature dessert "Faberge Egg", which is prepared only here.
15:30 Free time in the city center or at the museum (Faberge Museum is open until 20:45).

Gatchina is one of the suburban imperial residences. Picturesque landscapes, silence, abundance of reservoirs, architectural monuments – all this gives the palace and park complex a special charm. And it no longer seems surprising that Paul I, who is called the most romantic and dreamy Russian emperor, lived here for more than 10 years.
The Gatchina Palace preserves the memory of him and his wife, behind the modest facades of which luxurious interiors and the famous underground passage to the Silver Lake are hidden.

A master class on cheese making.
The Palace Farm is a unique economic complex and, at the same time, a wonderful architectural ensemble created by the will of Emperor Paul I.
During the tour, you will get acquainted not only with the history and features of the Farm, but also with its furry and feathered inhabitants – the goat Sir, the donkey Moses, the emu Praskovya and Yerofey.
At the end of the tour, you can try yourself as a cheesemaker by cooking your own variation of French cheese.

The guests themselves will prepare a fragrant mixture for mulled wine, on the basis of which the famous Christmas drink will be brewed according to a classic European recipe – the way it was brewed at the fairs of the Hanseatic cities.

14:30 Excursion to the Yusupov Palace – one of the rare noble mansions of St. Petersburg, where not only the state apartments, the halls of the art gallery, a miniature home theater have survived, but also the luxurious living quarters of the Yusupov family, which retained the warmth and charm of the former owners.
16:30-17:00 The end of the program is in the city center at the metro station pl. Vosstaniya, transfer to the Moscow railway station.

My daughter and I took the St. Petersburg Collection tour for 7 days, and I highly recommend it for first-time visitors to the city like us. The tour is well-designed, allowing you to see the main attractions in a short period of time. A great advantage is that you can join on any day. Everything was well-organized—excellent guides, comfortable buses, and provided radio headsets for better communication. There were no delays or long waits. The schedule was planned in a way that left plenty of free time in the evenings for walks or additional sightseeing. The tour package includes hotel accommodation, with several options to choose from. I stayed at the Rossiya Hotel near Pobeda Park and was very satisfied. The rooms were clean, with daily housekeeping, fresh towels, and air conditioning—which was perfect given the pleasant temperatures of 24–30°C during our stay. A buffet breakfast was included—simple but sufficient to start the day. It was really convenient, as we would bring a small snack for the day and have dinner somewhere in central St. Petersburg. The hotel is within walking distance of the blue metro line, making it easy to reach the city center without transfers. There’s also a supermarket nearby, along with plenty of street food options. It’s also worth mentioning that additional excursions are available. We took a boat trip to the forts of Kronstadt and joined a nighttime tour to see the city's famous drawbridges—both were unforgettable experiences
